Other: He carries an axe and a shield with him most of the time. Due to the color of his hair and his general attitude, he often gets confused as being older than he really is. He tends to speak in an unusual manner, very rarely using contractions in his speech.

Personality

Grakor can often seem distant and detached to those that he first meets, but that is simply a result of his condition as a spiritwalker. While he is often distracted and purposefully detached from the goings on of day to day life, he nonetheless has an eye to picking up some things that others may miss, even if more obvious details are lost on him.

He is a fairly calm presence, and even when he is annoyed or otherwise particularly emotional, he isn't prone to raising his voice. He speaks in a fairly verbose manner, and is happy to dispense wisdom and advice whenever he can to those that he knows, and even to those that he does not. He tends to keep an open mind with those that he meets, being generally friendly to all races of the Horde. Alliance he tends to be more frigid towards, though he will not outright attack them unless sufficiently provoked into doing so. Alliance race members that he deems unintelligent tend to get the worst of his personality, and he isn't afraid to make his displeasure with them known.

He is, in general, a good person. He is both willing to fight to protect the Horde, even if he officially takes a more neutral stance in many of their conflicts with the Alliance. He'll help people whenever he can, and tends to be willing to lend his services where they are needed.

History

Grakor was born to the Frostwolf Clan, which ended up sparing him the pains of being within the internment camps. Born to a pair of loving parents on Draenor and taken with them to Alterac, he grew among the snowy mountains along with his clan. That wasn't to say that his life was without hardship, as the cold mountains were with their own perils. Much like other orcs raised, he learned early how to use the axe, and even as a growing boy did his best to help his people survive in the cold. He was a rather well-behaved child, though active as one would expect.

He was too young to fight in the first two wars, but he kept up with training with the axe until the day would come when his ultimate fate would be decided. As he grew into adulthood and took his Om'riggor, he found that the path that was ahead of him would be chosen by necessity, rather than his own choice. Dreams started to plague him, memories of places and events that he never saw or bore witness to. At first he simply dismissed them, but when these unfortunate occurrences also happened to him in the waking world, he knew that this was something he could no longer ignore. It wasn't until he joined with his fellow orcs in their flight from the Kingdoms to Kalimdor that he finally found the answer to his problem.

As the orcs befriended the tauren, Grakor did as well, and through them found the possibility of help that his own people couldn't provide. There, they began to teach him more of shamanism, and the path of the spiritwalker. He found himself taking well to the path, combining the gifts that the spirits gave him with his natural strength and the skill with the axe that he had learned growing up. As his skill increased, his ability to withstand the dreams and the whispers in his ears improved as well...though they had nonetheless taken their toll. The path had turned his hair white unnaturally, and it was here where his mind began to drift off in its constant distractions. He nonetheless took part in the third war, though did so primarily in a medical capacity, as that is where his shamanistic strengths ended up lying.

Living among the tauren for some time, he still never did pick up their language, but knew enough to speak a few phrases that helped him along while with them. He grew a special affinity for them nonetheless, respecting their ways and learning much about them. Over time, he also decided to pick up a hobby, learning to shape the various stones he found in Mulgore. It was an unusual practice for an orc, but he found gems interesting, even if it was mostly for the way that they reflected light and how they could be useful for holding magic.

As his power stabilized and his time with the tauren came to a close, he met Kretol Earthshaker. Hearing Kretol's desire for peace and the clan that he had made, Grakor befriended the chieftain and soon found himself swearing allegiance to him. Now Grakor serves as one of his shaman. He then became tasked with watching Kalimdor and the events of the world for the Earthshakers, and lending his assistance where it is needed.

Skills and Abilities

Grakor's shamanistic skills are primarily geared towards enhancing his healing abilities, though he's also a fair warrior. His main weakness is his ranged attack spells, a field that he is not particularly skilled in beyond what he knows can assist him in close and personal combat. As a spiritwalker, he has the ability to gain brief flashes of insight from his ancestors, providing him with knowledge that they knew. Usually this information is fairly useless trivia to most, but can occasionally learn something useful. (This is mostly for events in which his ancestral knowledge may come in handy.) Unfortunately, having ancestors whispering in your ears does little for Grakor's grip on reality, and he has a hard time maintaining his sense of reality in the face of illusion magic or certain enchantments. He's also taken up jewelcrafting as a hobby.
