Appearance

Gor usually adorns a tribal leather outfit, augmented with metal studs for extra protection. His spaulders are made from boar-hide, which he received from his father on his deathbed. The spaulders had been within the Skullsplitter family for generations - some of the youngsters hinting towards some sort of mythical hidden power within them. Of course, that's just an old wife's tale. Gor hand-made his armour, bar his spaulders, at the age of 32. Since then, it has been through a lot, becoming battle-scarred, but hopefully still in good enough condition to pass down to any offspring Gor may happen to have.

Other: Gor is often seen leaning on, or brandishing his great-axe. The axe too was his father's. However, he received it on his twentieth birthday. However, he couldn't even lift half of the thing at that age. Since then, though, he's developed muscle mass, and can swing the axe with ease.

Personality

For starters, Gor's family didn't receive the name Skullsplitter for being budding Druids. Their family revolves around honour on the battlefield, and facing your opponent head-on. Though they hold the honour that comes with warfare in high regard, they still stick by a family motto: "Attack from the front, but watch your back."

Because of his learnings from his father, as well as his mother, Gor has learned two different, yet similar sides to war. One side regards honour as the most important thing on the battlefield - the other regarding bloodthirst and carnage as proof of masculinity. In turn, he believes that though there may be honour on the battlefield, death is always a risk - so kill he who promises such a risk.

However, Gor isn't just a war-machine. He very much enjoys conversation, and is willing to possibly overlook one's race and appearance if they're a good conversationalist. Gor is loyal to the Horde, however much he converses with Alliance. We will fight, and stand the pain of arrows puncturing his limbs in the name of the ever-powerful cluster of society's rejects.

History

Born to a family of proud warriors in the plains of Kalimdor, Gor was brought up on the values of a warrior. His father kept a book, inside of it a list of rules for battle - and not once has Gor breached a single one of them since the day he managed to pick up his father's axe. Because of his upbringing, however, he had to teach himself logical skills, and learn basic trade by himself. However, he did have friends in child-hood, as does everybody. His friends were two siblings - Intoya and Alonah, both twin sisters. Because of his two best friends being females, and even more, his sisters, he was undermined a lot while Intoya and Alonah fought for the attention of their parents.

Gor's combat training officially began at the age of 30, during which he was taught to wield axe and mace - his weapon of favour being the axe. Further specialising in the use of axes, Gor learned to also control his natural anger - a hereditary symbol, and weapon, of the Skullsplitters. At the age of 35, Gor began constructing his own suit of armour, made mostly of leathers. By the age of 36, he had completed the set. He spent weeks of total time working on it, hunting the Kodo and boars whose leathers went into the tribal outfit.

Gor turned 40 on a rather cool day - just the perfect temperature for a hunt. Gor, eager to prove himself as a warrior, prepared carefully. He made sure his armour was attached properly, and sharpened his axe until he was sure it could cut through armour with ease. And so, covered in leathers and wielding a large great-axe, he left the Skullsplitter village with a hunting group.

The group kept relatively quiet, following a group of Centaur about two miles North of his village. It had been just over three hours since they left, and the temperature had gotten a lot cooler. It was evening, and the cover of darkness helped the Tauren stalk their enemies. Within the group was Gor's father, and a few other Skullsplitters who were still training. Unfortunately, something went wrong with the hunt. The Centaurs spotted Gor's group too early, ridding them of the advantage of surprise. The group of Centaur was about three larger than Gor's own group. As soon as the Centaur spotted the Tauren, battle broke out between the two groups. By the end of the fight, the Tauren had won - at a cost. Gor's father had received several fatal wounds in the battle, not without bringing down half of the Centaur party however. Gor's father's last words to Gor were: "Son... Bring honour to the family. Live a long life, and die an honourable death... Take my Spaulders. They belonged to my father, and my father's father. They belong to you now."

Gor, however upset he was, did not shed a tear for his lost father. He died at a very old age, with pride and honour, on the battlefield. A cough came from one of the Centaur, who was still alive. He layed in a pool of his own blood, gasping. "Y-you were a fool coming for us Tauren... Now, finish the job."

Gor didn't feel like delivering a swift death to the bastard Centaur. He cooked one of the man-beast's kin, the smell of cooking meat attracting several nearby beasts. Gor was already far away when the fangs of a Raptor sunk into the Centaur's neck.

When Gor returned to the village, he kept his head held high, surprising considering recent events. However, being only a young adult, Gor passed the title of Leader onto his sisters, each sharing control over the clan. He continued to be a warrior for several years.

When Thrall and the Orcs met the Tauren, Gor fought alongside the new green-skinned allies with pride, eager to prove his father's death not in vain. The Tauren and Orcs defeated a large majority of the Centaur, Gor scoring a few kills for himself. Then the Orcs and Tauren, accompanied by the Island Trolls of the Maelstrom, continued to the lands now referred to as Durotar, building the large Warrior city known as Orgrimmar. The Tauren, Gor with them, settled in Mulgore, west of the Barrens.

Since then, Gor has left his family for a while, exploring the wide world, occasionally returning to his new home to tell stories to young Tauren of his travels.
