Appearance

Glorin usually wears a mix between Light Mail Armor and Thick Leather, that looks as if it'd been dragged all over most of the Eastern Kingdoms with Glorin still inside. This is probhably quite close to the truth. Occasionally, it's all covered by a brown robe, covered with travel-dust. He has a longsword and shield strapped carefully onto the Backpack. From the packpack itself, Glorin has attached a huge amount of bits and bops with some rough string - Cups, Knives, a Spyglass and other useful or shiny-looking items.

Personality

Glorin has a fundamental belief, that the Light is to be seen in everything and everyone - Amongst other things, that is why he travels so much: To fully experience it's wonders and variety. This also leads him into believing the best about most people, and have a positive world-view in general.

While Glorin is not an active part of the church or Paladins anymore, he still follows the Three Virtues very strictly, believing that if he just can hold his own soul pure, it will contribute to the overall purity of the world. Having a soft heart and a strong sense of justice, Glorin will seldom shy away from helping those in need that he encounters during his travels - Be it fighting off a wild animal, helping to gather firewood, or share his sparse rations of food. Although he justifies this with being a dwarf that's able to help, this leads him into being, perhaps a bit too much, interested in the problems and lives of the people he encounters - Sometimes, perhaps it get's a bit too much for some? Being a people-person though, it usually passes as genuine generosity, and that's usually the truth.

Glorin has little desire for riches, nor the opportunity - He travels almost constantly, so the only things of any value to him are the things he can carry with him. Glorin, having grown up with books, is very fond of poetry and old stories, especially the ones concerning the heroes of old - Indeed, his own behaviour very much mirrors that of the more noble dwarven heroes: Honor, Valour and Virtue are things taken very seriously by this dwarf. Glorin always carries with him books to read by the campfire in the wilderness, and even brings some parchment of his own - Occasionally, inspiration comes over him, leading him to put old stories on verse, or even make his very own.

History

Born into the Banebeard Clan by a respectable Couple living in Ironforge, Glorin was brought up in a family where books served as both hobby and only income for his parents, that were themselves running a Bookshop. The family never lacked food, although they were by no means wealthy either. Glorin's father was a passionate collector of old texts, and his shop had long since developed into the regular meeting-spot for people with similar interests in the area. One of the more prominent visitors was a paladin stationed in the Ironforge Chapter, that in a friendly gesture to Glorin's father let the young lad do small jobs for him, in exchange for some pocket coppers. These jobs usually consisted in polishing hammers and running errands inside the city, but as Glorin approached adulthood, they grew to include joining the old Paladin for both Hunting-Trips and elaborate discussions in the local bar.

By the time he turned 40, Glorin had been taken up as a novice amongst the Dwarven Paladins, and worked his way up to becoming a proper Paladin during the next decades. Glorin was a part of the forces that aided Lordaeron during the Second War, and pulled trough without any serious injuries. He did, however, not go back to Ironforge with the rest once the War was over, rather wanting to explore the land a bit first. The "Explore a bit" part didn't end before the Third War, whereupon he joined with a Dwarven Batallion fighting the Scourge in Hillsbrad.

After surviving the War, Glorin never really managed to adapt to a quiet life again - Settling at one place proved to be dull, and regular work bored him beyond measure. Glorin decided to leave the ranks of the Paladins, to continue his travels freely. He still maintains a friendly relationship with the paladins of Ironforge, follows the tenets of the Light closely, and acts like a Paladin in general - He just does not do so under any spesific banner. Should a great war erupt in Azeroth again though, he would more than likely attempt to do his part by re-joining the armies of Ironforge.
