Personality

Glocken is quite egocentric, and he generally thinks that his word is true. This causes humorous, and sometimes disastrous results when talking to those he employs or knows on a personal level. However, he takes care to give the utmost respect to those who would give him work. Glocken has been and probably always will be a workaholic. He has put his job ahead of so many other things, including his family, others' well being, and friends. He is more likely to become friends and maintain a relationship with a business partner than he is someone else. Glocken takes his business -very- seriously, and takes it as a personal insult to have an employee leave his service.

Glocken, while finding himself a respectable arms dealer, often toys around on the side with some other ideas of his own.

History

Glocken T. Spockensprocket was born in Gnomeregan to a small family. His father and mother were both Gnomish engineers, just like a fair deal of the Gnomish population. Ever since he was born Glocken found himself fascinated by weaponry, whether it was explosives, guns, swords, and so on. His parents encouraged his curiosity, and supported him completely in his endeavors. Glocken continued his study of weapons engineering for a good deal of his life, eventually meeting his wife, Inri and even fathering a son, Deckler.

As he continued his work, he decided to branch out further and start a business of it. At this point, he was around 103 years of age, and he conducted a great deal of his own work. He had a few employees who he had help him carry equipment and build, and he would go on large trips to Ironforge to sell his weaponry. Business was good, and so was life, for the most part. Over the years, he began to neglect his family more and more. He spent increasing amounts of time in his workplace and out of Gnomeregan, but he felt that it was necessary.

When Gnomeregan fell, Glocken was on a trip to Ironforge for the umpteenth time. He had escaped the destruction of his home city, but the gravity of the situation hit him rather quickly. His family was still in Gnomeregan during its destruction. While Deckler was able to escape as one of many refugees, Inri was slain in the siege. Deckler met with his father and they spent precious time together in mourning of their loss. Glocken's employees had given him their condolences, and in his state of mourning, Glocken let them go.

Eventually, Glocken finished his mourning and decided to move on, leaving for Stormwind City. He asked Deckler to come along, but Deckler had made the decision to stay in the Ironforge for his own reasons. Glocken understood and left Deckler to do as he pleased. While the fall of the Gnomeregan took a great toll on Glocken, both mentally and emotionally, he still tried his best to maintain his usual demeanor when he reached Stormwind. In short, he did not actually move on until he spent a good deal of time in the City. He soon came across a Night Elf by the name of Nor'Mani who had spent his very first day in the city and Glocken soon ‘befriended' the poor Elf who had a bit too much to drink.

Nor'Mani would soon sign a binding contract in his drunken stupor. However, the writing was mostly illegible and Glocken read it as Norman, so the Elf named Nor'Mani would soon become the Night Elven servant named Norman. It was this day that Glocken renewed his dreams of a large-scale business, and started his planning for what would soon become Spockensprocket Arms Incorporated.

To this very day, Glocken still mourns the death of his wife, and he uses his work as a way to get past it all. Glocken also leaves Stormwind from time to time, visiting Ironforge for possible contract opportunities and to spend some time with his son.
