Skills and Abilities: Gimus has trained in the Shadow arts for years, but specializes in the magic devoted to the mind. Manipulation of thoughts and the like. This dwarf has some skill when it comes to healing the undead as well, but wouldn't be seen as excellent by any standards. Gimus has absolutely no ability with melee weapons and would be greatly hindered should an opponent get up close and personal. The priest also has some skill in the field of Zoology, particularly with ravens and other winged creatures.

Appearance: Flowing white, silk robes and a crude walking stave can be seen on this dwarven male most of the time.

Other: Has a large tattoo of a raven sprawled over the entirety of his back. The raven seems to be in mid-flight.

This dwarf, also has an actual raven he bonded with recently. The bird is left to roam free, but was taught to come when called.

Personality:

Gimus is often discribed as a bitter, selfish, and angry man. Around people, at least. Gimus simply adores animals however. His favorite being the raven. "Such misunderstood creatures." He would say to anyone who dared ask. This dwarf could easily be distracted by any kind of wildlife about, and leave allies to their doom to save a wounded fox or rabbit. He cares little for people of any sort, though he -might- get along with the more primitive types.

Gimus studies the mysterious magic that is the Shadow. He finds himself fascinated by it. Anything to do with the mind will fascinate this man, however. He considers the mind a man's last refuge, and will protect his from others at all costs. Gimus isn't the 'bookworm' type, though. He prefers to be taught by an instructor, and shown how to do something, opposed to reading instructions.

History:

Early Life

Gimus was born into a wealthy family in the subterranean city of Ironforge. Being first born was quite pleasant for this little dwarf. The couple gave birth to two other children. One two years prior to Gimus' birth, and the other five years prior. He was his parents' favorite son, even if they didn't say it. He could tell! They would always shower the 'elder' with gifts on any sort of special occasion.

The Failed Hunter

Gimus' father was a hunter specialized in the taming of beasts; his mother a warrior. His parents thought that Gimus inherited his father's love for animals for certain, as the young dwarf absolutely adored anything you could pat, cuddle or spoil. Among the animal kingdom, that is. Gimus would be constantly bringing home rabbits he insisted were 'lost', and all manner of beasts native to the snowy region of Dun Morogh. Gimus' father suggested Gimus take the path of the hunter, as he loved animals. This, however, proved difficult for the young boy. First, he couldn't even string a bow, let alone fire an arrow. The boy was also a bit slimmer than the others of his age, making it all the more difficult for him to fight. After a year or two, the two dwarves gave up on the hunter training.

"A Priest!"

Gimus' mother suggested a warrior, before quickly responding negatively to her own suggestion; the boy was simply too weak and frail. "A Priest!" His mother would exclaim, clapping her pudgy hands together. A Priest. Gimus hadn't thought of it. Now that he began to, he thought he would at least give it a shot. His mother sent for a friend of the family; a Priestess. The woman would begin to teach the young man of the Light. Of magics of the mind. How to soothe those who felt pain. How to heal their wounds and tend to the internal damage that may exist. He began to like it. A lot. Though, he wouldn't be satisfied with this.

The Darker Magics..

Gimus stumbled upon a tome his trainer had carelessly laid about. The man shrugged, "No harm in reading ahead, hm?" The dwarf opened the book, and discovered the separate part of a priest's magic. The negative side. The side of Shadow. The more he read, the more he began craving more knowledge on the subject. Craving the abilities that came with the mastering of the shadow magic. Gimus left home later that day, tome in tow. He knew of a place he might find some answers. The Forlorn Cavern. His parents had cautioned him not to stray towards that part of the city. Though, he had heard rumors of a priest there. One who kept to himself, who secluded himself from the other priests in the city. This, was a good place to start.

The Shadowcaster

After Gimus rapped his knuckles on the wooden door of the priest's dwelling, he had been accepted with open arms as the shadow priest's apprentice. The old man loved how eager the man was to learn the art. And so, his training begun. The training was long and, at times, quite challenging. The old man with the friendly smile pushed his student to his limits for year after year. Gimus lived with the man all the while during his training, not even bothering with telling his parents where he had gone. He knew they wouldn't approve.

Recently

Gimus left Ironforge after his trainer passed away. He was given a tome, which was passed down through generations in the old man's family. This tome had all the resources he needed to continue his training. Didn't notice, however, that the magic had changed him. He had grown bitter. Grown selfish and cruel. He waved this away, hardly realizing it at the time. The only importance to him was honing his talents. One day, on his travels through the human lands, Gimus stumbled upon an egg on the path. "An... Egg?" He muttered, reaching down to pick it up. Being the animal lover he is, he wrapped the egg in wool to keep it warm, and brought it with him. After hatching, Gimus and the raven became inseparable. This, was a companion that would love him no matter what.

To this day, Gimus and the raven travel the lands, reading from the tome, traveling to the locations of the various shadow trainers listed within.
