Personality

Felix is a wierd old fella, he loves arcane and speaks about it almost all the time, he tends to ramble on a lot and sometimes seems to forget what he's talking about. He's a nice gnome though, never a bad intention in the world, when he sees or learns a new thing he gets really into it, asking questions and testing it. He seems to get jumpy when someone mentions his size, and seems to get quite defensive when it comes to it. Most of the time when he's speaking to someone taller then him, he'll try get to the same height as them or higher.

History

Felix was born in Gnomergan to two low ranking engineers. As he grew he was teased by his height, for a gnome he was quite small and was pushed around a lot. For that Felix strayed away from any communication and kept to himself. Finding his only happy place was when he was on his own, in his head or in a book. His parents noticed that Felix enjoyed reading and started suggesting him books on engineering and other trades. Felix took their advice and headed to the library in Gnomergan. He found books on all kind of professions, when he got home he began rooting through them reading each one by one. The one book that fascinated him the most was a book about arcane. The more Felix read about arcane the more he was excited, and depressed. His self esteem was low from all the bullying and he knew that even though arcane was interesting, he would be horrible at it and shouldn't bother wasting his time. So he spent more and more time in his room, reading books. After a while his faze of being interested in arcane faded, knowing the outcome already. Soon enough Gnomergan fell. Felix was already 35 years old, he managed to escape, but both his parents were left down there.

He didn't really care much for his parents death, like everything else he rarely communicated with them. He went to Ironforge to live out the rest of his years peacefully, each day he'd visit the Ironforge library for new books. One day he ran into an old human mage who was going through the library, he picked up a book about arcane and illusions. Felix eyed the mage with envy, and took a deep breath, walking up to the old Sorcerer. He asked him about his profession, and what it took to become what he is now, preferring to hear stories about magic not from books but from an actual being. The mage simply replied with. "I had all the time in the world." This caused Felix to reflect on his own life. Soon enough he began reading books on arcane again. But he didn't dare attempt anything.

After a few years he went on the tram to Stormwind and sought out a tutor from the mage tower, and his practice began. Felix is now 45 and he still cannot get a spell right, his self esteem is still so low that his mind just won't accept the fact that he can achieve this. He didn't stop though, he knew that if he quit, he'd just spend the rest of his life reading books, either way he'd waste it away. After a few more years he finally learned his first spell, ever since then he's become a fanatic for arcane, rambling on about it all the time, and studying every hour of the day. as he hit 90, he began to reflect on his years spent. He now knew quite a lot of things about arcane and magic, each time he perfected a spell or learned a new spell, his self esteem went up. Soon enough he craved to see the world, and disappeared for a day, he didn't travel too far since his height limited him from a lot of things, and from spending so much time in a library he's not physically fit. He ended up heading back to the mage tower in Stormwind and learning more. However he made a promise to himself, that when he has become powerful enough to protect himself, he'll venture out once more, and see the world before he dies.

As he hit the old age of 148, he realized that he still has not fulfilled his self promise. He looked over all he has done and realized that he has hit the potential where he can leave the confines of the city and defend himself. So he left Stormwind, and ventured the world to spend his last days in adventure.
