Information

Player: Kaghuros

Character Full Name: Felin'areth Eduriel

Character In-Game Name: Felin

Nickname(s): None.

Association(s): Order of the Blood Magi, Silvermoon.

Race: Blood Elf

Class: Blood Mage (Warlock)

Age: Felin is middle-aged, around his early 200's.

Sex: Male

Hair: Fel-bleached red.

Eyes: Glowing green.

Weight: Felin is of average weight, though not nearly as muscular as most Elves.

Height: Just under average for a male Blood Elf.

Other: Felin has a number of magical corruptions that vary in their severity. He has a ley-line tattoo that would have covered his entire body if it weren't for the disfiguring burn that crosses the entire right half of him. The flesh is dark red and excessively warm, and his nerves are damaged in that area, often leading to spasms or uncontrolled bursts of magic (He tends to "leak" magical energies all the time from this area).

Felin has been magically scarred, as well as physically, from his failed spell. His magic would be uncontrollable if it weren't for the numerous enchanted items he wears. He has an amulet and his stave warded specifically to keep his magic in check. Without them he would be unable to cast spells at all, and would simply discharge his mana with no effect at all should he try to cast.

Conjuration (Minor Summoning): His robes are inscribed with magical symbols, and he has a number of tattoos made in the symbols of rituals and ley-lines. Much of his body is devoted to holding gaudy symbols of his magic that may or may not serve a practical function.

Enchantment (Moderate): Felin desires enchanted items, and collects them even if he doesn't use them. He lives only in places that he has personally seen to the enchanting of, regarding the work of others as suspect in both quality and intent. He carries only magical weapons, and generally keeps magical trinkets all over his person.

Evocation (Major): Felin can't go an hour without spellcasting. His frequent and dangerous use of Fel magic has made him unpredictable in natural phenomena, causing him to get caught up in storms and fires, often becoming uncontrollably reckless in his magic. He casts bold and flashy spells, always trying to draw the utmost amount of his power down on something when he can, even if it isn't necessary. His flesh that isn't burned is warm to the touch, and his Fel-fire burned flesh is uncomfortably hot. His hair may spontaneously smolder, and objects around him may discharge harmless electrical or magical charges.

Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Appearance

Felin chooses often to wear robes that cover his entire body along with a pair of gloves to cover his hands. His clothes are gaudy and display his colors proudly, a symptom of but one of his magical corruptions.

Personality

Felin is calculatingly intelligent, but he is nearly monomaniacal in his desire for power. While he once was a man dedicated to serving his homeland (Even if it would require the use of hated Demonic magics) he is now completely twisted by his use of magic, only desiring more and more of it to the detriment of his body and mind. He uses people without guilt, and has no passion for anything besides his magic. Not a single means cannot be used to achieve his ends, and he has no qualms about killing hundreds to find a single artifact or reagent if it brings him any bit closer to his goal of attaining power.

History

Felin's family history was one of many known men and women, but none rising to quite the esteem they wanted during their own lifetimes. Each successive generation built on the name of House Eduriel until, by the time of Felin's father, it was a major player in the politics of the Lower Court. Athren Eduriel was a consummate statesman, but he couldn't break through to the Upper Court of Silvermoon. This was a duty he was to leave to his son.

Felin'areth was born to one of a number of Athren's favored concubines, and became the sole heir to the name of his father. From a young age he was instructed in the use of magic and the coercion and ruthlessness required to be a politician in the city of Silvermoon. He grew into a young man both bitter and driven, pursuing his career as a statesman and Magister.

When the Third War rolled around all of Felin's life crashed down on top of him. Much of his political power vanished with half of Silvermoon, and the rest of his family was killed. However, being a proficient mage, Felin saw a way out of his dark times in Kael'thas' new order. He eagerly joined the Blood Magi and pledged his undying loyalty to the Prince and his council. As the Elves worked in Outland, Felin studied the ways of the Blood Mage. He becoming an adept caster of Fel magics and became far more corrupted by the forces he chose to wield.

At a late point of his work, Felin attempted a ritual to infuse his body with Fel magic. He channeled a great amount of energy into the tower in which he worked, and everything went into alignment. Instead of summoning the energies of the Nether he attacked by an Infernal, attracted as it was by the immense amount of Arcane magic being used in one place. Felin barely survived the attack, and the subsequent collapse of his spell. When the spell collapsed, the Infernal was sucked into the Nether, and Felin's body was caught at the edge of the imploding spell. His body and inner magical balance were heavily damaged by the encounter, leaving him on the edge of death.

After recovering from his wounds for a year in Silvermoon, tended by a House Priest, Felin began his quest anew. In his time of healing he'd gathered an immense amount of information on magical artifacts, and a monomaniacal focus on his quest for power. Now, publicly as a researcher for the Magisters dealing with enchanted items and Fel magic, Felin has begun to gather the reagents necessary to try his grand spell again, though inevitably the result can't be much different. As every careful mage knows, magic inevitably attracts the eye of the Legion, and will always corrupt the mind.
