The Lich King has fallen, and once more the grip of evil on Azeroth has been lessened. And though villainous forces still clash around the world, vying for fickle dominance, a greater malevolence struggles for control of Azeroth's once-united people: war. Long looming over the horizon, the contrasting values and traditions of the Honorable Horde and the Axiomatic Alliance have begin to rub together like flint and steel, and Varian's lust for 'uncouth blood' has set in motion the beginnings of cataclysmic warfare. Azeroth may never be the same...

The Grand Alliance has sent forth its forces, ranging from loyal Kul'Tiras Marines to iron-jawed Ironforge Dwarves: spies have been deployed, mercenaries paid, and skirmishers let loose into the soft regions of Horde-controlled Kalimdor. As the New Horde presses on the borders of Ashenvale and their coveted forests, Garrosh Hellscream's quick and successive promotions in the Horde's ranks have served to only kindle the flames of battle. The young of the Horde hunger for blood, and though ill-trained, the veterans have managed to spread themselves well. The war machine of the Horde is plenty capable of fending off any who would oppose them...

Every army needs forces... and who do you serve? Under associations in your profile, put the guild's name and in parenthesis place Battlefield: Kalimdor. Forces are listed below; remember, a guild is not needed for participation.

i.e. The Coalition (Battlefield: Kalimdor)

Deployed Units

Deployed units consist of player managed loyalist battalions, mercenary companies and the like that have given their loyalties to one side of the conflict. Only ten slots are listed as open for guilds to be registered, but more than ten may register for a faction in the off chance that many guilds openly take a side. Guilds that register must of course abide by the Rules of Engagement.

The following deployed units consist of player-managed loyalist battalions, mercenary companies and more that have pledged their blades and guns to one side or another of the conflict. Ten slots are currently listed as 'open for guilds,' but more than ten may be involved if a large number of guilds register. Guilds that register must abide by The Rules of Engagement.

Bookfaceright.pngThe Rules of Engagement Rulesfaceleft.png

There will be many battles, and these battles are placed in the hands of those involved. The players will be responsible, battle to battle, for how combat is carried out. God-modding and meta-gaming are frowned upon and, if evidence of such is given, the meta-gamer/god-modder will be reported to the proper GMs and kept from participating in up-and-coming events. (In the end, don't do it. The drama is unwanted.)

Combat can be handled with rolls, trust, or even PvP if so wished; the general idea is that the combatants agree on how combat is handled. Just remember: deaths aren't retconnable. Guilds and players are encouraged to skirmish at will - be reminded death isn't a requirement of combat. If a few Horde members and Alliance members wish for a small fight on the Southern Gold Road without any casualties, do so freely. Mini-events, battles, and all such not world-changing or tide-turning are allowed. Anything with a heavy affect on the war-zone will be planned official with GM approval. The conflict is not restrained to Southern Kalimdor; All of Kalimdor is your carnage-consumed canvas, just be smart about where conflict sprouts. Use existing lore on tensions to explain your battles. A good rule of thumb is, "If you don't know what started a fight, then it shouldn't be a fight."

P.S. Please post in this page's discussion, or PM Brutalskars or Aphetoros when a casualty (death) or wound (irrecoverable damage/maiming) has occurred. This will allow for a tally of losses for each side.
