Personality

Considering all that has happened in Euliona's life, she has managed to remain a fairly good person. She is not so twisted with bitterness and hatred that she cannot still see the beauty in life. Much of her running taught her that life is an ever changing climate – one cannot predict whether fortune will bring rain or shine. As such, Euliona is a very patient soul. Though life never stays the same, some things take a long time to come to fruition. With such a long life stretching out before her, she has learned that it is better to wait and take flight rather than to try to force things that simply will not work. Though there is much sorrow in her past she is still capable of great love. She will extend a hand of friendship to those who offer their own. While she is not excessively trusting with people when she first meets them, she is not so totally jaded that she will deny people. While she is aware that people will not always be honest with her – she is always honest with others and sometimes people take it the wrong way. Euliona doesn't particularly see the use in sugar coating the world for people, to do so is to lull them into a false sense of peace. She expects nothing in life. She has no expectations of what people could do for her. She is rarely disappointed, for in expecting nothing she is not saddened when she is given nothing. Euliona is extremely calm for someone who has been on the run for her entire life. Euliona is a hard worker. She has had to be for her entire life. And as the seemingly endless years of her future unfold before her – it seems she will had no other choice but to continue to be a hard worker. She is dedicated to her work and sometimes she forgets to take time to rest. Her first thought is usually for others and sometimes it is difficult for her to remember that she must rest. After all, what use would she be if she's all worn out? She is extremely humble and does not believe she has a right to act as though she has superiority. She prefers to believe that pretty much everyone is equal. The exception being orcs and blood elves. Both races are treacherous and foul. Betrayers. One day, they will be exterminated.

Euliona does take joy in the simple things. Like fresh air. A swim in clear waters. She loves fresh foods and particularly enjoys fruit and cheese. She doesn't usually eat meat. Euliona takes great care in maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene and appreciates when others do the same. She hates, on the other hand, cramped places. They often bring back memories of a time she is much less fond of. And she absolutely cannot stand fidgety nervous people.

History

Euliona was born on a planet she cannot remember. The name eludes her. The pictures she sees when she closes her eyes and tries to visualize what it was like are filled vast green fields and stars. The visions she sees when she has nightmares are filled with flames and screaming, it has become impossible for her to recall exactly what it was like... Where the lines of vague recollection and imagination blur... Blur into the reality that she and her family lived as nomads. A reality that's pain has begun to be softened by the corrosion of time. What was reality then was running away from planet to planet. Settling down just long enough to realize that the horrors that pursued them tirelessly as they fled for their lives were on their way. Or in some cases – had already arrived. It was much the same for the other Draenei. Euliona and her family were hardly exceptions. It was a hard way to grow up, constantly fearing that you might lose your family or friends in the next attack. And Euliona lost many friends.

Perhaps the most significant moment in her life was the moment that she received the blessing of the Naaru. It was an important time for all Draenei. Touched by the words of the Naaru and the insight that there were others in the world that would fight against the Legion, Euliona took her place on bended knee and pledged her life to the Light and to defeating the Legion at all costs. With the knowledge of Light and a spirit yearning to learn how she could help – she caught the attention of one of the elder Draenei in the group that Euliona and her family had been travelling with for hundreds of years. She was a kind woman, generally. But she was an extremely demanding teacher. Through this mentor, Euliona began training as a priestess. She was not a genius at the task. It took a lot of training to get her to the stage of extreme competency. A struggle, especially while on the run. Even more so when the enemy pursuing you is not interested in leaving behind survivors. Still, Euliona would not give up and for many, many years she fought hard to keep advancing until she could coax the Light to work with her and her patients.

As time went on, Euliona met a man whom she grew quite attached to. She met him during her training, actually. He was kind-hearted – a gentle soul who quieted her spirit which had begun to clang riotously within the bars of fears and raged with every fallen friend. When she was with him she felt peaceful. The nightmares ceased and the frantic desire to find others who would fight beside them and confront the Legion would quieten. They grew to be fast friends, finding they had much in common. She would spend her spare time with him, learning about herself and the world, the old world through his words. It was not long before she found herself in love with the man. Perhaps if things had turned out different, she would have made a family with him. But fate had other plans, it would seem. It was time to move again.

To Draenor. The Refuge for the Exiled. They lived peacefully enough, as peaceful as one can live whilst in hiding. Euliona worked hard to help establish their society once more. Often times being sent as aid for other groups who had also arrived on Draenor and needed assistance. The assistance of the physical labours to establish shelter and hopefully, homes. Once this was completed, Euliona would go with the leaders of her group to meet with the neighboring orcs in the beautiful grasslands to assist with trade. The time of peace was precious to Euliona's spirit which was growing weary of constantly having to leave home after home. Even if the home sometimes was only a hastily pitched tent.

Then. One day, it all changed. The orcs attacked. They had changed somehow. It wasn't long before Euliona realized they must have been changed by the tireless enemy they'd been running from. It was heartbreaking in more than one way. The small breath of tranquillity burned away, and the loss that she suffered was tremendous. Like nearly everyone else – Euliona lost her family and so many of her friends. Every Draenei sent to be healed was someone she knew. Every pair of eyes she had to close once the spirit had departed was another leaden weight in her heart. Her training, her hard work over so many years seemed to be so futile when faced with the numbers and ferocity of the orcs. She didn't really have time to contemplate why or feel sorry for herself even though the conflict lasted for nearly eight years. A small seed of hatred was planted in her heart which blossomed as she, along with the ‘survivors' realized that the wounds from fighting were not only physical, but worse than they had predicted. Her lover, who had gallantly fought to try to protect their town as they fled and hid had become corrupted. It was painful to see the changes... the mutations and the corruption take hold. There was no time to mourn, really. Velen was rounding up those who had not been touched by the corruption and was taking them to Zangarmarsh. Euliona fled with the rest of the survivors, so few as there were. If she had learned nothing else, she learned that purity and goodness was worth preserving.

It wasn't too long before it was time to come out of hiding again. It became so painfully obvious that it would be necessary to kill in order to survive. To face Blood Elves in order to escape from the planet – the only option for their survival. Euliona donned armor and stood beside fellow survivor. Euliona didn't fight so much as heal. Her strength was not in wielding weapon (though she carries one now and knows how to use with competency, it is still more of a token) but in wielding the Light to burn those who stood in the way of their escape and to heal those of more hearty stock who cleared the way and captured the wing, carpeting their path in a trail of broken corpses. Once they captured the wing they named The Exodar and those with the skill attempted to planeshift– Euliona had thought she'd survived the worst of it – but the Blood Elves had done more than simply stand in their way. They had sabotaged the ship. Spiralling through the Twisting Nether was horrifying. Euliona barely remembers the impact. She woke, finally. Once she recovered from her injuries – she immediately took up arms and volunteered to care for the injured –eventually being sent forth to begin finding those who would stand against the evils in the world.
