Alignment: Eraina is Lawful Good. She has a deep sense of honor and talks down to cowards as though they were dogs. She is considered "good" because she believes in the Light, prays daily, and despite having killed her own sister (to try and save her now-dead fiancé), still seeks to do all that she can to serve the Light.

Personality

She's a sweet heart. Kind, outgoing, and all around loving, she is someone who would never think of cutting someone down. Her views on the war between the Alliance and the Horde are neutral, as she serves neither one. Once she sets her mind to do something, she will not stop until either it proves to be impossible or she completes it. She can be somewhat stubborn, but all in all, she's a good friend to have, and one that won't ever let anyone down if she can help it. She has a strong sense of respect for the elderly, higher ranked Priests and Paladins, and her closest friends. One thing that sets her differently than most Blood Elves is that she doesn't hate humans, having taught herself to forgive others for past mistakes, and even the humans needed to be forgiven. This has earned much distrust from her own kin.

History

Eraina was once a Priestess in her past, seeking to serve the Light even though it "forsook" her kin when the Sunwell was devastated by Arthas' forces in the Third War. Many years later, when the first Naaru was captured and the Blood Elves took its powers, Eraina sought to not use this power like the others, but instead used it to heal the injured that came in from Outlands from day to day. In addition, she took up alchemy, deciding that it would be best whenever her mana was low. It was not long, however, until she joined the Blood Knights, using her powers of the Light to deal out justice to both the Scourge and the demons that poured in from the Outlands.

It was not long that after she rose through the ranks that she was sent to Shattrath to help keep peace in the city. It was there that she met a human. Whereas most Blood Elves would have scorned the humans and the humans would have scorned the elves (due to their tensions and the humans abandoning the Blood Elves in a time of dire need), Eraina and the male human started talking, as neither held prejudice against one another. He was a Paladin himself, and the two learned a lot from each other. He introduced himself as James, and there on out, the two became close friends.

One of Eraina's older sisters, Melissa (who was also a Blood Knight sent to Shattrath), did not like to see James and Eraina together. In fact, she fainted when she heard several months later that James and Eraina were getting married as soon as they could! Melissa began to plot, and finally, she thought of a way to kill James. Two days before the wedding, Eraina, Melissa, and James were all sent to fight at Quel'Thalas in the Shattered Sun Offensive's push for the Sunwell. Once the two arrived in Quel'Thalas, Melissa (who was the head of the group by higher rank), took them on a mission to clear out the Scourge along the Dead Scar. The three led their own regiments against the Scourge, and just when they were winning, Melissa noticed the Scourge bringing in reinforcements. She pulled her regiment out, leaving Eraina and James to fight the Scourge. James' regiment was soon overran, and Eraina's regiment was not doing any better. With many losses, the two groups were forced to retreat. James' troops were headed off, and Eraina -- unable to do anything -- watched in horror as they were all killed. Melissa, seeing Eraina escape, decided it was her time to shine. She led her armies in despite Eraina's warning they were too powerful.

And soon Melissa's armies were overwhelmed. Eraina, devastated by the loss of her only sister, her future husband, returned to report the mission a failure. She then returned to Silvermoon in shame. The Blood Knights, who used to favor her, had removed her from their order for retreating instead of dying with honor. And when her family disowned her for wanting to marry a human, she decided to further her training, and went into exile.

Today, she continues her path in the Light. She has recently taken in other exiles like herself and formed an elite order of Paladins, Priests, and many others who seek to spread the power of the Light. The order, lead by Eraina herself, has named itself the Holy Flame. And with her loyal followers behind her, Eraina seeks to undo all that which the Scourge has done to her world. And furthermore, she seeks to prove to her homeland that she is not the worthless coward they think she is, but a proud warrior of the Light who stands tall.
