Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: Emelia is typically clad in purple, the color of Dalaran. She favors silken robes, only opting for variants made out of heavier materials when in environments that call for them. Emelia does not wear anything that can be construed as armor. She will typically keep her hands covered by cloth gloves, or concealed within her loose and enchanted sleeves.

Skills and Abilities

Emelia is a clever young Mage who focuses entirely on the non-combative schools of magic. When forced to fight, she tends to favor using pure arcane as a weapon, or illusions and trickery to flee. Emelia does not have access to the full arsenal of spells a normal wizard would enjoy, instead favoring the elements she’d been exposed to the most in her Apprenticeship, those being the schools of Transmutation and Enchanting.

Personality

Emelia is rather reserved and mild-mannered, often to a fault. She is utterly cowardly, partially due to her lack of combat ability or experience. Emelia is certainly not antisocial, though she can be cripplingly shy around those who in any way intimidate her.

When it comes to magic, though, she is nearly a different person altogether. She will prattle on for hours on end with other magi if uninterrupted, and has a hungry mind eager to absorb new knowledge and concepts. She’s humble, yet confident in her own abilities, and learns extremely quickly.

Emelia both fears and hates the undead more than anything else.

History

Emelia Hall was born on year eleven of the recorded calendar to Lairen Chase and Stephen Hall. The pair met on the Isle of Caer Darrow, having been brought there from Southshore and Brill respectively following the Barov’s acquisition and restoration of the Isle town and it’s keep following the Second War. They both served House Barov loyally, though when Emelia was conceived Lairen found herself wanting more for her child than to be a servant.

With their coin saved, and Emelia at the tender age of five, the family moved east to Silverpine, settling within Ambermill with near relatives who had travelled there for work from Southshore. Stephen assisted the loggers while Lairen reared young Emelia and made friends among the Magi who were there studying the dormant ley node hidden beneath the town.

Things continued peacefully like this for four years before the coming of the Scourge. Ambermill held fast against the undead, bolstered by the Kirin Tor, though many fell in it’s defense including Emelia’s father Stephen. Lairen, however, persevered and resumed her prior work as a servant to earn them a place to live among the Dalarani who had flocked to Ambermill in order to begin the reconstruction of Dalaran.

These connections Lairen made allowed for her to enroll a budding Emelia into Dalaran’s academy, where she naturally excelled- a sharp wit and determination carrying the young girl far despite her age. Lairen however, would not live to see Emelia’s potential realized as Forsaken raiding parties had begun a series of attacks on Ambermill and Emelia lost her second parent to the Undead. Naturally, the orphaned young girl was inconsolable for some time, and was only able to numb the pain by retreating into her books.

As those of Dalaran retreated beneath the glimmering barrier as the reconstruction effort reached near completion, the fifteen-year old Emelia was allowed to accompany them with and largely raised by her tutors there. Emelia remained safe within Dalaran, honing her craft as she came of age, and as the City took the skies to Northrend she had nearly finished her rudiments and trials to become a Magus.. though age and inexperience were two factors that seriously held her back from being considered a fully fledged member of the Magus Senate.

It was then she came across Craer Naharev, who more or less absconded with the young girl to Outland, where he trained her personally. Meanwhile, the Shattering rocked Azeroth. A bit more world weary, and more skilled to boot, Emelia has returned home and set out to prove herself and further hone her craft despite her age and status.
