She now wears deep reds and scarlets, mostly robes, and tries to make sure she looks more like a citizen than anything else (She is trying to avoid unwanted recruitment to the war in Northrend).

Other: She is usually very self-conscious, preening her hair as often as possible and checking in mirrors to make sure she looks acceptable. She isn't incredibly vain, though she does tend to try and cheer herself up by picking out the good things about her face and body, however few she believes there are. She usually holds herself very tightly, folding her arms close to her body, shoulders hunched up and knees pointed inward. When she sits she typically folds her legs close to her body, as if trying to stay warm all the time.

Personality

Alignment:Lawful Neutral (May change, I used an alignment test )

Ellrys is a rather troubled woman, though she tries to at least maintain her composure as best she can. She hates to be publicly humiliated, probably more than most people and will usually go out of her way to make sure she isn't put in a position like that. She typically tries to draw attention onto the one attempting to humiliate her. From that we can gather she is a proud woman, but not so much that she seeks to garner fame and glory for herself. She would prefer, for the most part, to not have notoriety of any sort for now, nor to have a large slew of friends, as she has issues with opening up to people.

Conversely, she can be very social and friendly, but her dark past often leads her to irrationally believe people will automatically judge her for all the things she has or hasn't done, and her introspective nature can often lead people to believe she is a quiet girl, without much to say. On the inside, she yearns to be loved and accepted for who she is, that is all she wants. In a relationship (something she isn't keen on at the moment), she would typically act very loyal and devoted. Some would say she's clingy, and she sometimes happens to agree with them.

She can be very diffident, timid and suspicious of others and their motives, particularly those of her closest friends. She doesn't mind helping out friends in need, especially those she favours the most, however she can be fickle about these things and a lot of the time if someone asks for her help she will have some kind of excuse ready if she doesn't feel like it. On that note, she is also very fickle about her friends. One sign of untrustworthy actions and her trust in them shatters like glass. Fixable, but the cracks can still be seen.

Like her preferred style of magic, fire, she can be very hot-tempered, quick to anger. She rarely tolerates ignorance or dissenting opinions and can lose her temper if someone shows increasing amounts of idiocy. Being seemingly calm, then raising her voice suddenly is a common trait for her, and she usually displays varying levels of passion for many things, including for things she loves. She loves likes she burns things, with intent and freedom.

She is uncomfortable when around babies or children. Not that she can't be around them at all, but children are a constant reminder of her own loss, and that sometimes makes her uneasy.

History

Born in Silvermoon city to two mages, Ellrys was brought into a stable home, and an already magic family. When she was of age, Ellrys was immediately enrolled into Falthrien Academy, one of the best of the land at that time. She mostly did well, having a natural talent for magic as most if not all the other students did (some more than others), but wasn't always top of her class. She was occasionally distracted by her friends (some of whom she now suspects only did it so they could get ahead of her). During her years at the academy she fell for one boy in particular, to whom she confessed, only to be met with the words “Well, it's nice to be loved.” They tried to stay friends but his involvement with another girl, whom she tried to get along with too ultimately destroyed the friendship.

After she graduated, she decided to study alongside her mother and father, however not too long afterwards her father was gravely injured by a forest troll and not too long after, he died, the priesthood at the time failed to treat him. This cut a deep gash in Elle's heart, though she wasn't very close with her father, she still loved him. From then on, she became a sort of closed in, non-reactive kind of person, often shutting herself in her room to surround herself with books.

Eventually, due to her sheer curiosity and to further her studies, Ellrys moved to Dalaran, the great magic city. She stayed there for many years, meeting with her mother in Quel'thalas frequently. The more liberal atmosphere of the city and the general air of joy and happiness helped Ellrys to come out of her shell and she enjoyed learning magic and becoming a proficient mage while studying the many tomes and being tutored under elven archmagi residing there. She grew close to the city and began to regard it as her home, as opposed to Silvermoon. She still missed her homeland of course, but she was happy.

Then the scourge came. Ellrys fought to defend her beloved city, but was eventually whisked away in a portal away from the battle. She never witnessed the destruction of the city by Archimonde, but she heard the crashing and it broke her heart. It was after the fall of Dalaran that she learned that her home Quel'thalas had fallen. She was worried about the welfare of her mother, and so she and many other elves journeyed to Quel'thalas to witness the devastation. The road was dangerous, littered with undead, and as they had been cut off from the Sunwell, it took a while to get to Silvermoon unscathed. Ellrys' mother had survived the onslaught, they were reunited quickly and exchanged horror stories. Over the course of a few months Ellrys and her mother lived with each other until it reached Ellrys' ears that the Kirin Tor were retaking Dalaran. Fleeing back to her surrogate home with her new best friend Kelsin, Ellrys helped in repairing one of the observatories. After it was learned that Kael had sided with the naga, a slippery serpentine race, the humans sentenced all elves to death, and Ellrys and Kelsin, along with several other elves slipped away using a mass teleport spell. Ellrys, knowing her mother was alive, was able to channel a portal (albeit using fel magic) with two other mages that lead straight to Silvermoon.

In Silvermoon, Ellrys began a relationship with Kelsin. She didn't like him at first, thinking he was a pervert but she warmed up to him eventually. They both fed on fel stones (crystals containing small amounts of harvested demonic energy, like the ones you see floating around the city), relying on the fantastic feeling it gave them. It also helped to quench Elle's insatiable thirst for magic. Being a sorceress herself, the hunger was so much more compelling for her than for Kelsin as he was merely a ranger. Elle's mother was a proud woman and privately scorned their relationship, stating that mages were of a higher social standing, but Ellrys was already in love.

One night, Ellrys stumbled across a mysterious tome on demonic magics. Her curious nature led her to pore over the book for many nights, and it wasn't without consequence. It didn't take long before Ellrys began seeing things due to her overactive imagination and her open disposition and her constant feeding on the felstones had made her much more susceptible to demonic influence, though she was unaware. She would see dark figures in the street, a gleam in the corner of her eye, a twisted face in the mirror. She started to lose her mind a little, which made her vulnerable to a shadow priest with a penchant for mind control. Ellrys was stolen by this woman and used for her dark purposes. Locked away in a dark room, with demons and a will that was not her own plaguing her mind, she slowly closed herself in again, turning into a sad hopeless being. Eventually, when she had emerged from a trance one night, she found herself laying under the the dead body of her love, Kelsin. The shadow priest had been overthrown by Elle's own voidwalker demon and was forced to let her go.

Ellrys never got over such a loss and shut everything out. Her mother, not wanting to hear any news about Kelsin turned a cold shoulder to her lost daughter, acting as though she had been gone without reason and did not protest to Ellrys' intentions to leave. Ellrys quickly packed up and moved to Undercity where she fashioned herself a small tent on the surface, hesistantly venturing underground in order to stock up on supplies. There were times when Ellrys would venture into the plaguelands in order to earn money as a kind of hired mercenary for the forsaken. She would assassinate Scarlet Crusade warriors as they wandered the dark forests, but that was put to an end when a Scarlet Paladin banished her voidwalker companion back to the Nether forever, Ellrys bearly escaping with her life.

Once she learned of Kael'thas' betrayal in the Outland, Ellrys decided to take revenge on the man who had caused her so much pain. He was the one who introduced fel magic to her race, and to her, he had to pay. Once arriving in Outland, Ellrys took on a new outlook on her newly gained fel powers and decided to officially adopt warlock powers. She cast all petty arcane magic aside and embraced the shadow and the fire. She studied demonology and chained to her service a felguard to fight by her side. In the meantime, Kael'thas was defeated by other adventurers, and Ellrys, with no reason to stay in Outland, then returned to Azeroth, and to the Undercity.

Around the time of the reigniting of the Sunwell, Ellrys joined a school for magic known as The Apocryphal Libram Academy, hidden away in the Tirisfal Glades. She spent many months there studying demonology, and eventually became a teacher there. She became close friends with (ironically) an elven shadow priest, and even took part in some of her religious rituals. All was fine until, during the second scourge invasion, Ellrys learnt of the shadow priest's connection to the same priest that had kidnapped her, and she severed all ties with the school.

Ellrys soon took up her mercenary dealings once more and hired herself out to the forsaken in the Howling Fjord. She would slay the tall humans and Alliance scum for cash, and when she had gathered enough she left the forsaken to their own devices and began wandering Northrend. She explored Sholazar Basin, crept through Crystalsong Forest, and even entered Dalaran (though she was limited to the disgusting sewers, where all manner of vile patrons spent their days clinging to the slippery, moss-ridden walls and partaking in illegal duelling) She was heart-broken that she could never truly visit her beloved city, she never expected this to happen to her, but she was a warlock, and was not welcome.

She since left Northrend and based herself on a small island off the coast of the barrens, near Ratchet, and typically tried to avoid any and all calls of duty to aid in the fight against the Lich King. She was weary of fighting, and since she was all too late to the party in Outland, and at the Sunwell, she had since given up in aiding her allies, the Horde, and her country, Quel'thalas. However, with the fall of the Lich King and the reduced need for warriors of all kinds, Ellrys now enters cities with an air of freedom about her.
