Information

Player: AmyraTess

Character Full Name: Ellena Chesca Airim

Character In-Game Name: Elle

Nickname(s): Elle

Association(s):

Race: Human

Class: Priestess [In-game she's a paladin class. This is because her character carries a shield, and wears light protective clothing. Greaves, occasional boots. Heaviest chest/legs/gloves she'd wear is leather. Will not wear shoulder protection at, nor a helmet aside from a hood.]

Age: 20

Sex: Female

Hair: Blonde

Eyes: Blue

Weight: 117

Height: 5'4

Alignment: Chaotic Good (Why: She is not widely liked amongst the church, far less than her sister Elestia was. She sees no particular reason to be 'nice' or 'sugarcoat' things when helping others. Not precisely the one you want to comfort a grieving widow...but certainly one you trust with 'greater good' decisions. Also very willing to go into an area of battle to heal those in need, and the around-the-edges combat that may result is not an issue to her.)

(The shift in her personality has taken many of her 'chaotic' tendancies. She's quiet now, and though she may hold the same oppinions as always she seems far less willing to make noise about them. Likely applies as Lawful Good, though only because 'just staying out of the way' isn't an alignment.)

Appearance

Usually seen in one form of robe or another, as she is a priestess. Her most notable chosen garment would of course be her shield, the only form of armor she readily carries with her even when in a robe. The shield type varies. She does not, under 95% of circumstances, ever carry a weapon. [Which is why she's not a Paladin by trade. This character is less a Paladin, meant to smite people with the light, than a priestess who knows how to defend herself if forced.] When more heavily armored, or heavy to her seeing as her physical strength is to most lackluster, she can be seen in light armor greaves and sometimes boots. If a robe is not conducive to a setting she knows she will be thrust into, she can be found in light leather armor as well.

Obviously---and will tell anyone this---prefers her robes.

Other: Her physical accents start with her body itself---an assortment of earrings [Five holes in each ear. A stud in the 'normal' place, two small thick hoops above that. The last two appear as one, an ornate representation of rays of light in gold on her upper ears.], a sometimes-present lip ring in the center of her bottom lip. A pierced left nostril. A pierced left eyebrow. A tatoo around her midsection [high waist, low stomach and back] which appears at a glance to be a tribal pattern. The front, low on her stomach, represents a sunrise [and looks very much like one if one ever gets the chance to take a good look... which most don't, as it is there for her own decoration] and on the small of her back a smaller array which likely represents a more distant bright star.

Personality

Warmhearted, but calculatingly so. She is passionate to a fault---but will only level that passion to do good in the world around her once she is certain what the true greater good is on every imaginable level.

This does not make her hesitant in her usual tasks. Healing those who come to the city (Stormwind) injured, or when sent out to battles she is effective and reliable. It does, however, make her distant from any cause. She heals bodies and souls, Elle will tell anyone who asks, she does not follow the wills of them once they are well.

History

Elle is the 'rebellious' younger sister of Elestia Airim. Elestia was known for her charity work, all around bubbly nature, and dedication to the Light which borderlined on zealousy were she capable of doing anything other than smiling someone to death.

For most of her life, Elle's personality has been misconstrude. Her older sister's body was untouched---in every way---while she decorates herself with lipstick upon occasion, and piercing and tatoos permenantly. Elestia spent all of her time, before moving to Stormwind under the urging of their father, studying. Elle (Ellena) usually stayed amongst the other youngsters as they grew up.

Elestia and their father agreed on everything. All they ever spoke on was the Light, and the methods used to spread its 'joy' to others. Ellena was certain there were more pressing things to be doing than reading the same things over and over and talking about how much they'd help people who obviously still needed help.

Long story short, when Elestia died Ellena made one of the many moves in her life that have left those closest to her absolutely perplexed. Mostly because they seek to put her in one category or another, fail, and never quite recover. The news of Elestia's death left he distraught---for one day.

A single day in which the young woman who was thought to be very hard of heart allowed herself wanton grieving. Then at sunrise the next, she began packing her things. Her destination, she thought, was obvious. But still people asked. She was going to Stormwind, to continue her sister's work (and do it the right way, she left that out though...) and despite doubting glances she set out almost immediately.

Taking up the name 'Elle' (The phonetically shared beginning of both she and her sister's name), and working in her own way to better the lives of others just as her sister had. She did not take out her piercings. She did not stop painting her lips. She does not actively attempt to conceal her tatoo (though she never really shows it off either). One thing that bugged her about the enigma of her sister's death was that she was likely defenseless when it happened.

Elestia was notoriously fragile, and Ellena (now Elle) after her time of grieving admitted she was not at all surprised. Elle, despite appearances and a sharp personality that make most cast her in an aggresive light, knows little to nothing about handling a weapon either. Nor would she, in all honesty, want to do so.

Knowing this problem was apparent, she knew not what to do about it---the story goes she was sent to Redridge during a particularly ugly mishap with local orcs, and as a reflex snatched up a fallen guard's shield to protect herself.

The rest, as they say, is history. The everpresent shield has become her muted 'trademark', even more so than the light greaves it is usually attatched to when not resting on her back. For the most part she can be found around Stormwind---though recent activities otherwise have forced her repetitive dispatch to other areas to render aid.

She is not a Paladin. She asserts this vehemently whenever it comes up. Taking lives, she asserts, is hardly a purpose that makes sense for one who truly values the arts of healing (verbal jabs like that are why she's not too widely liked, despite her subtle usefulness). Simply a priestess who "Doesn't think getting hit with things is fun."

Reportedly believes that all Paladin should lay down the weapons, and all priests/ess' should exercise to wield a shield.

"That way," she comments, "We don't have the light being used as a readily available weapon. And we don't have a medic death toll easing into numbers even the Gnomes won't count."
