History

Elizabeth was born at the end of the first war, as the ships departed for Lordaeron. Her father was training to be a priest at the time and her mother was the handmaiden for a noble lord. Her childhood was spent with the ever-looming second war in the minds of her parents and their neighbors. When the alliance of Lordaeron eventually emerged victorious, Elizabeth's father decided he did not want his daughter to grow up powerless to any threats. He worked through the rebuilt church of Stormwind to arrange for his daughter to be a squire for a knight of the church.

The third war brought Elizabeth's first taste of battle. The knight she had squired for had traveled north to assist in the fighting. When he was slain by the first instances of the scourge, Elizabeth took up his sword and armor and fought in his place. The threat eventually became too great to conquer, forcing Elizabeth to retreat back to the kingdom of Stormwind.

She would spend the next years living at home with her mother and father, working with the village militia in dealing with bandits and peace-disturbers. When her mother became ill with disease, Elizabeth devoted all of her time to the light. She became as strong a believer as her father, and put her faith in the light to cure her mother's ailments. As time progressed and her mother still did not get better, she inquired on becoming a squire for a paladin, believing that service to the light would save her mother. Her father, though, took another route. He could not live without his wife, and so he inquired down the path of a very crude and ignorant form of necromancy.

Eventually, Elizabeth's mother passed away from her illness. Elizabeth took full responsibility for the death, blaming her lack of effort as the reason. When she learned of her father's intentions with the dark arts, however, she thought otherwise. Her faith in the light was being nullified by her father's betrayal of the light, she argued. Elizabeth reported her father's deeds to the church immediately, but much to her surprise, the church pardoned her father's actions. She interpreted this as a weakness in the church, a flaw of character. Her father was a well loved priest in his community, and she thought that if the church was to openly persecute him they would tarnish their image and trust with the people.

Elizabeth cut off her ties as a squire for a paladin, and scorned the church and her father for their actions. Her new found love of the light and hate for those who mistreated it began to consume her, and that is where she is now, traveling Azeroth with loathe for those who do not accept the light... as she sees it.
