Personality

Eldrinei is a patient woman which abides by the law like she is supposed to. She holds her own morals in high regard and values discipline and loyalty more then anything. She has certain affection for magic which one could almost describe as "love" which makes her struggle between two entities, the law and moral issues and her love for Arcane. If not for her own value of the law she would have fallen to the seductive powers of magic long ago and probably would have ended up entangled in some failed arcane experiment which would have cost not only her life but probably the life of a number of her kin as well. Next to that she is your average Draenei, she worships the light and is incredibly self-righteous.

History

Eldrinei was but a mere infant during the nomadic lifestyle the Draenei where forced to have due to the burning legion chasing them throughout the great dark. She had seen many many planets but it wouldn't take very long until they would all pack up and leave again. Most of the time they only set foot on a planet to restock on food and get some air or see something else but the interior of the Naaru vessel Oshu'gun. Because of this they never stayed anywhere longer then a few months before packing up and leaving again.

During her time on the ship she studied the art of Arcane, as many of her kin did. Making herself useful to her fellow Draenei. They studied theory mostly in order to prevent attention to be drawn towards them and thus having the legion closing in at a much faster rate.

Eldrinei her tutor goes by the name of Vyein, which was a very uncommon name for a Draenei. Though it was fitting for her, as she was an extraordinary Mage. Eldrinei learned the arts of magic while growing up, she wasn't Talented at magic, as a matter of fact the opposite was true. However children can be stubborn and so was she at the time. Vyein noticed that Eldrinei was having a hard time trying to understand the forces of arcane let alone wield them, and due to this Vyein started to pay more attention to Eldrinei as she understood why Eldrinei was so persistent about learning magic, as magic was both a weapon and a mistress.

Even though Eldrinei did not have a mother, she wasn't unhappy at all. Not even the slightest bit of her being was unhappy, she had known no other lifestyle then the nomadic lifestyle they had. She could study the arts of magic which even though she wasn't very good at it, still was one of her favorite things and occasionally her dad would sneak out to surprise her with something like a toy or candy. All was indeed good and well in her life, even when she matured this particular feeling did not waver not even once. But then after many many long years and nearly 1800 years of living within the confined space of Oshu'gun they set foot on what was to be their new home which they named Draenor.

As Eldrinei set foot upon the soil of their new found home, and breathed in the air. She felt nostalgic and strange, Eldrinei couldn't believe that the lifestyle they always maintained the only lifestyle she had ever known would simply come to end. She just couldn't accept the fact that they would remain on this planet and she grew restless as a result of this feeling. But as the years passed she began to feel more comfortable with their new found home. She even build a small house of her own together with her father and her teacher Vyein and some of her friends she had known all her life. Many of her friends would leave for Shattrath, one of the largest settlements that where under construction. Her father and her tutor did not and for this she was relieved as she did not liked the tedious city life that Shattrath and a few other settlements offered. Instead she preferred the tranquility of the marshlands which they gave the name "Zangarmarsh". She lived in one of the smallest settlements near the region that would later known as "Blade's fist mountains"

Then suddenly after nearly 200 years of peace and serenity, the Orcs inhabiting the grassy plains of Nagrand started acting hostile towards the Draenei. At the time the reason for this was unknown as they had left each other alone ever since their arrival on Draenor. Besides from occasional trade or tutoring the ways of shamanism, and even those two things where uncommon to the point you could almost call it non-existent.

The drums of war echoed all over Draenor as it seemed that the normally peaceful orcs had gone mad, and the Draenei marched to war once again, something they would have rather refrained from. Eldrinei was too young to march towards battle so she could not take up arms to defend her people. Vyein left for the front almost immediately after the first attack reached their ears, and her father left shortly after. In the meantime Eldrinei had to sit back and watch, frustrated that she could not do anything but watch.

After mere months Eldrinei received a letter containing the documents of her Fathers passing and a few days later that of Vyein as well. The letter stated that her father and Vyein fought directly at the frontier with the Orcs where the battle was thickest, and that they died because the line was breached and they where cut off from the host, and that by the time they managed to push the Orcs back again that her father was already dead and Vyein was severely injured protecting his corpse. She did not last longer then mere days, too stubborn to give up on that man and when she finally accepted that he was gone, she simply lost the will to live and passed away.

Deeply struck by both the loss of her Father and her tutor whom she loved as a Mother she became depressed and really distant to others. She managed to remain sane, but barely. She started forcing herself into a stoicism for a while and started to abide by certain moral codes, something she would come to develop during the years to come. And then after eight long years of bloodshed between the Draenei and the Orcs, the fighting came to a halt. Eight years of bloodshed violence and sorrow before the Orcs stopped, a little over 80% of the Draenei population butchered before they where statisfied. Eldrinei came to hate the Orcs for what they did, not only to her but to her people as well. Every day she prayed to the light, prayed to the Naaru but none would answer.

The survivors of her people retreated to the marshlands of Zangarmarsh, but the increase in population in the region was barely noticeable. With what her father and Vyein had left her she helped out the refugees seeking shelter to the best of her ability and shared the little she knew about magic to those willing to learn. She started practicing magic again as well after years of grief, driven by her grudge against the Orcs but mostly in remembrance of her late father and tutor.

Then something happened which was very disturbing news, the most influential and powerful Orc clans seemed to have disappeared. Eldrinei wondered why they left but other then just an occasional worry she did not gave it any more thought. It was something she would come to know later on... Their short lived and fragile peace did not last long, they watched in terror how they and parts of Draenor got sucked into the twisted Nether by some demonic force, later on they would learn that an unknown force pushed back the Orcs trough portal. And that the Orcs where maddened by the burning legion, which had been manipulating the shamanistic Orcs in secrecy without the Draenei noticing. They came to knowledge that their world was torn asunder due to one of the deamons opening too many portals trough the twisted nether and as a result of that the world of Draenor shattered and the fragments of their world was to be sucked in by the gaping portals.

The shock took Eldrinei by surprise, and for a moment she felt like those where her last moments. Instead they found themselves on a floating piece of what was formerly known as Dreanor. The legion became more active and took hold of Karabor the only structure the Draenei managed to hold onto during these years of conquest. It was the home of Velen which was forced to flee after this barely escaping with his life.

Then after a while the unthinkable happened, the Naaru arrived on one of their interdimensional ships, it's name was Tempest Keep and it was a truly massive structure, a Floating fortress which would serve as a forward base against the legion. With the Aid of the Naaru the Draenei reclaimed the city of Shattrath. Eldrinei began cherishing the idea that maybe, just maybe they would be able to remain on Draenor.

Relatively soon after the arrival of the Naaru another entity arrived they called themselves Bloodelves and their companions the Naga, strange serpentine creatures that seemed like they where accustomed to sea life. They where led by a creature which reeked of a Fel taint similar to that of the demons from the legion. With this the Draenei had themselves a whole new enemy to deal with and not one that would prove to be easy not even with the Naaru on their side.

After days filled with more warfare and bloodshed the unthinkable happened... One of the bloodelves, Took hold of Tempest keep and claimed it not for his master but for the legion itself Seeing their only escape route being cut off, the Draenei took off to the fortress and managed to occupy one of its winged sections. Eldrinei was part of the group of Draenei that boarded that wing section which was called “the Exodar” promising that they would return to defeat the legion and rid the Draenei of it's Never ending conflict with it they took off to find the world where those lived that fended off the legion.During their escape a few Bloodelves managed to baord the exodar before it took off, and sabotaged the interdimentional engine of the exodar. As a result they crash landed, however Eldrinei and her fellow members on the Exodar found themselves exactly where they wished to be.

Azeroth.

Eldrinei decided to look for a new master of Arcane and traveled to Dalaran where she remained for a while. However after almost 2 years of studying under the tutoring of the Mages of Dalaran they started preparing for war. Eldrinei was send away due to her lack of practical experience with magic as the frontlines are not an ideal place to study. While Dalaran was preparing for war Eldrinei had already taken the liberty to contact the Exodar which arranged for her that she could continue her studies in the Mage tower in the human city of Stormwind.
