Persistance is the core of Eldricht's personality. If he says he's going to do something, he will try to his best, and either succeed, or try until he's nearly broken. He tends to over-estimate himself, and under-estimate the competition. He is too proud to ask for assistance, even when he cannot succeed without it. He will, however, accept help when it is offered. Despite his zealous behaviour he is not stupid, he enjoys being at the back, planning.

Eldricht loves to show off, and will not pass up and opportunity to perform his magic. Eldricht also enjoys being around those he has grown to know, and become fond of, but dislikes meeting too many new people at a time.

History

Eldricht as a young mage in training during the events of the Second War. When the high elves added their magic and rangers to the Alliance's forces, Eldricht's training came to a halt. His mentor was sent to front lines to fight, and die at the gates of Stormwind. During the war, Eldricht scrounged through his masters chambers, reading many books on famous mages and arcanists. He had originally dreamt of being a famous fire mage, known throughout the lands.

When the Orcs attacked Quel'Thalas, Eldricht was forced to flee. He took with him as many of the tomes and scrolls with him as he could carry. He found himself taking up residence in the Human city of Stormwind where he continued his studies, alone, in an inn in the Mage Quarter. He worked the bar to pay for his room. By the time the Second War had concluded, Eldricht had made his way to Dalaran, to ask for recognition as a true mage from the Kirin Tor. The Kirin Tor tested Eldricht's knowledge of magic, orally, he passed with perfect marks. However, when it came time to demonstrate his skills, he fell short, and was denied full Mage-ship.

Eldricht then applied within the Kirin Tor for true training. From this point on he was shut off from the outside world. It wasn't long after his new apprenticeship began that something began to feel off. He started losing touch with the flows of the arcane. His magic fizzled, and his cantrips produced naught but smoke. These shortcomings bothered him, so much so that he requested leave of the Kirin Tor to return to the Sunwell, hoping that being near it would restore his touch. He quickly returned to Quel'Thalas, only to the city ruined. He heard, in whispers, of the attack by the Scourge, and the corrupting of the Sunwell. During his visit to the ruins of his home, he learned to draw magic from other sources, enough to restore his grasp on the arcane flows. It wasn't long after that he heard of Kael'Thas' return, and that he was gathering together the now Blood Elves to try and aid the alliance against Arthas.

Eldricht managed to find a place with the group that followed Kael'Thas. He was not the strongest of mages, but, with the few survivors there were, he was permitted to follow. He was atleast able to provide food when the rations were low. He was eager to avenge his race, however, his journey ended half way to their destination. He had fallen behind the rest and been ambushed by harpies. After being heavily wounded, but emerging victorious, Eldricht found the rest of the Blood Elves long gone.

Eldricht then returned to the once proud city of Quel'Thalas, to help rebuild it, and make it his home, where he remained during the rest of the Third War, studying quietly, away from the fighting that had so torn his homeland.

Now, Eldricht once again seeks to venture from the new Silvermoon City, and find his place among wanderers, and adventurers.
