Appearance

Eanraig wears the garments that best blend in with his surroundings. As a mountain man, he wears green leather armor in order to survive and hunt in the forests of Loch Modan. When traversing in cities, he dresses up as nicely as possible, which is saying a lot for a dwarf - especially Eanraig.

Personality

Eanraig is a very humble dwarf, but that doesn't mean he will act like one. A loud fellow, probably from all the ale he drinks, he is always trying to keep people on their toes. He constantly has a tankard of ale in either hand, one for himself and one for a stranger, and is always telling stories to amuse the people around him. He is very friendly, but has a temper that can erupt like a volcano if tempted to that point. However, he is quick to calm down and the first one to apologize for an inconvenience. He would prefer the fresh mountain air to the dank stinky streets of any city. Eanraig is proud of his dwarven heritage and won't shy away from making it known. He believes hunting is the sport of true men (erm...dwarves) and ale drinking is a full-time profession. His rosy cheeks are a sign of his good cheer, but his wrinkly face hidden beneath his white-ish blonde beard are pronouncements of his stern adherence to serious business, such as the aforementioned hunting and drinking.

History

Eanraig's parents were Carmag and Eithne Ironbrew, all members of the small (yet proud) Ironbrew clan. Eanraig had been born and raised in Loch Modan and lived there his entire life, rarely traveling elsewhere. His father, a skilled hunter and brewmaster, taught him all there was to the art of hunting and making brewskies, and Eanraig caught on rather quickly. When he was 80 years old, Eanraig made his first visit to Ironforge. The trip captivated him, and it was there that he took up the craft of blacksmithing with the fine dwarves of the city. While there, he also learned a thing or two about good ale-making, and he took what he learned back with him to Loch Modan and continued to attempt to improve his skills as he grew older.

When he was 110, Eanraig discovered a young boy by the name of Siegfried Eisenhammer in the forests of Loch Modan. Nearly mistaking him for a kobold, Eanraig took the young lad home with him and adopted him as his own. He taught him all he knew about blacksmithing, and ten years later, encouraged the boy, now a man, out into the world on his own.

Alone again, and inspired by the young Siegfried's determination for worldly adventure, Eanraig became determined himself to venture out into the world of Azeroth and to see what fortune awaited him. He packed up his things, left his cave, and, with Blondie by his side, set out to Dun Morogh to begin acquiring a tolerance for the cold weather and the legendary fiery brews...
