Dymr favors his favorite Blue-tinted goggles, but usually wears anything he can get his hands on. If he had to choose though it would have to be a combination of overalls and a gown. Shoulder pads would also be nice, if he can find some at least. He's always looking for times to read so he also carries a book with him at all times.

Other: He's eccentric, he's enjoyable, he studies demons, he's a gnome warlock

Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Looking to exceed his base knowledge, Dymr is always hungry for knowledge and technology. He's charming and loves to talk about himself and his discoveries, although that can lead to his faults. He can rabble on and on about the newest spell he's learned or a demon he learned to conjure, so much it can sometimes drive a man insane. He's always correcting people if they make mistakes, like telling someone they stabbed a man in the spleen when they meant to stab him in the heart. Within his little mind minor chaos can from forth though, since he only really looks out for himself most of the time, unless the situation is in his own favor. He can be known to betray people (never his friends though) if he can somehow make a profit in the end.

Being a Warlock, Dymr knows more about the dark arts then he can comprehend, only being able to cast half the spells he's read in books, and yet he still continues to learn and learn. Until he runs out of books to study or masters the dark arts of the warlock nature he will always be on a vacant search to find new materials to read. Although he studies the dark arts, that doesn't stop him from learning about his roots. He's an engineer at heart, continuing to tweak his contraptions everyday until he can get them just right, except most of the time they just end up blowing up in his face causing him to start all over from the beginning.

History

  • Told in 1st Person*

Ready to listen to my glorious inscription of past ventures? Most excellent! Let's begin from the crushing fall of my home city of Gnomeregan, a place I'd conceive as gnome heaven...until, you know, the extinction of nearly 70% of our race, leaving us homeless, confined to the dark interior of Ironforge in our own section called Tinkertown. Before that though, paradise! I had a magnificent wife (oh Amorette, I will always miss you and your ingenious way you could tweak a gear) and my darling kids Brenna and Dymr jr. Sadly enough, my darling and the children could not make it out in time of the gas chambers, and were inevitably manifested into ugly leper gnomes. They're still there though, every now and then I tend to go back to plague infested Gnomeregan and pay them a visit. I usually get greeted with them trying to kill me and rip my face off, but family's family! As with all of the other gnomes, we were lead by High Tinker Mekkatorque into Ironforge, where the dwarves were kind enough to give a section of the city to us. (On a side note I never did personally like Mekkatorque, since gassing most of your race kinda lowers your "Wow!" factor)

Once we actually got to Tinkertown (that name still displeases me. Why not, Engineville! Or...CogCity! At least something that doesn't sound like all of the residents are going to the bathroom at the same time), it was kinda of bland in my honest opinion. The others sure did love it though, since practically everything had a running cog attached to it. Personally, I could not live in this place anymore (not because of the extinction of our race, no no no no, I made some...er..."decisions" in Gnomeregan that people didn't "agree" with since some people "collapsed" or "died" or "are not living anymore" or "I laughed at all the children crying about their dead parents", you know, small things). Luckily enough there was a tram RIGHT NEXT to our town (convenient eh?) that I was able to take to a curious city called Stormwind, which was funny because it was quite sunny when I got there, not even a cloud in sight!

The Tram ride was probably one of the most glorious contraptions I've been on in a while. The speed, style, and the intriguing aura it had all showed the marvels of engineering. I did see one weird thing, a gnome catching rats and making them into barbecue (I know! I can't believe I didn't think of it first either) so I bought a few for the trip. Honestly they were better then what I had expected, it tasted like chicken breast. Also while on the tram I saw an awe inspiring look at a man made lake (which I swear I saw a ferocious, scaled beast in there)

When I arrived in Stormwind I wasn't greeted to kindly, apparently humans do not approve of wanting me to show them my new pulsating rocket experiment (It's quite ingenious actually, it's a rocket that you throw into the air, and it creates pulses that launch it up towards the sky where it explodes just like a real rocket! People must not love explosions like back in Dun Morogh). Also don't judge me for asking them a question like that when I first meet them, it was my newest invention! How would anybody NOT want to see it!? Luckily enough, one of them threw a book at me titled: The Dart Arts, which really made me the man I am today. It was then when I was intrigued about the ways of Warlocks, beings who were addicted to the magic of magi and wanted more and more power. I wasn't really into that though (I mean who has the time to cause panic and destruction these days?), I just wanted to learn about it. As of now, I've only learned about half the number of spells I've read in books, but one day I will learn everything there is about Warlocks and the dark arts!

Anyway, since Stormwind still wasn't looking to be getting a storm anytime soon (I swear, people and their misinterpreting names, hell it wasn't even windy!) I decided to check out the rest of this country, which apparently is snow less (It's a bigger adjustment then it sounds, trust me) and truthfully, I love it. The people are nice, the towns are great, and I can even buy horses (which in Dun Morogh only guards are really the only ones who ride them, and most of the time they ride Rams). I've been in this country for so long now I can't even remember, although every now and then I do go back and visit my friends and enemies in Tinkertown. I have traveled far and wide for more knowledge about the dark arts, but I always tend to circulate back to the small town of Goldshire, always getting a room in the inn when they are available. What adventures lye ahead? Who knows! But ones thing for sure is I'm going to be writing a letter to the king of Stormwind about changing the name of their city to something more suitable.
