Dundurdun is what one might call dense in the head. Never a bright chap, he tends to go through life thinking of two things: Shooting his gun at something and the next drink. While he isn't very bright, he can be considered relatively nice, even though his antics can be somewhat dangerous at times. Fiercely loyal to Ironforge and the Alliance, he does his best to uphold the standards of his faction by trying to be better than the members of the Horde, not that he actually is.

History

Dundurdun was born during a small trogg raid on his family's home. It largely involved his father, Dundurdel Dundursun, trying to both deliver a baby and kill the trogg raid. After some hours of intense labor and somewhat intense combat, the baby dwarf was popped out of his mom. However, his father was a tad bit busy to celebrate the joyous occasion as a trogg chieftain began to storm the horse. Dundurdel was tired of the endless combat, and a tad thirsty. As the large brute neared, he turned to his wife, “Woman! Git meh da Dundurdun! We're gonna need it fer dis one!” The still pained and tired woman grabbed the nearby hand cannon and tossed it to Dundurdel. Unfortunately, the newborn was in her arms as she threw him and the gun. Luckily enough, the father managed to catch both his prized gun and his new boy, “Ach! Dis babe ain't a weapon yet, woman!” With no time to toss the baby back, Dundurdel had to quickly dodge the trogg's club and give it a fateful of pain. That is, he aimed the large gun at the thing's head and blew it clean off. The troggs saw their chieftain die and immediately fled. In the moment of trrumph, Dundurdel raised the babe in the air, “Dis is mah Dundurdun!” The name stuck.

Dundurdun grew up in the harsh mountains of Dun Morogh, spending his time hunting with his father and brewing with his mother; which is all he knew for the longest time, brewing and shooting things in the face. Eventually, he picked up on how to wield axes effectively and how to read and write at a rather basic level. Not that he would need it once he joined with the Ironforge Army. Proud that his son was joining the military, Dundurdel handed his boy the precious mithril and gold gun and told him, “Ye a man teday, boy. Make me proud and shoot sem of dose buggahs.” Soon enough, his mettle would be tested at the outbreak of the First War in the form of guarding. The young dwarf was set on guard duty in Ironforge, doing nothing but strolling around. He missed all the combat. Time passed and the Second War broke out, exciting Dundurdun beyond no belief. Three weeks in, he broke his arm and leg in a training accident in the form of a boulder falling on him. The dwarf was out of commission for the rest of the war.

Time passed and the dwarf patrolled around the snowy lands of Dun Morogh, hunting troggs and trolls. After an odd two and a half decades since the Old Horde fell, news came down about the Scourge attacks on Lordaeron. The ecstatic dwarf immediately signed up, put back on guard duty. Silently, he wept as only a dwarf can weep, by getting wasted on ale for two whole months. What would have killed a human and exploded his liver, only caused Dundurdun to slur his speech.

Beyond that, the dwarf has spent his time hunting troggs and trolls for small bounties around Dun Morogh, trying to find a way to leave.
