Appearence

Mostly light cloth robes, but when at long travels or cold places, Drakeran can be seen wearing an old, heavy bear-leather coat and a strange linen cloth hat.

Other: Drakeran uses to carry a long staff, either tied on his back, either with his hand, as a support to walk and climb (though he doesn't really need it).

Personality

Usually works as the "brain" in a group, holding a good intellect and being happy in sharing it. He is unpredictable and impulsive, has a good sense of humor and is hiperactive. Always tries to find something to occupy himself. A flaw in his personality is that if the surroundings get too silent or if he stays without something to do for some time, he will start to try anything to end his boredom, either whistling a song or trying to tell a joke. This can be something fatal if he or his group need to pass undetected by an enemy.

Alignment: True Neutral.

History

Born one year after the First War in Strahnbrad, son of simple peasants, Drakeran was only five when the Second War erupted and the Kingdom of Alterac betrayed the Alliance, forming an alliance with the Horde.

When he first saw orcs, they were a legion marching North to Lordaeron. He asked to his mother what were they doing there. - Walking the first step to Chaos, my son. - She answered. And she was right. Months later, Thoras Trollbane imposed martial law to the kingdom. The orcs were imprisoned in internment camps. Drakeran didn't understand that by the time, but kept distance from the green-skinned race. He was only five years old.

Lots of years later, when Drakeran was seventeen, an old man dressed in robes, that claimed to be a mage, passed by the village. He was in the tavern, telling to the citizens about what was happening around the other kingdoms, when Drakeran and his father entered the tavern to get some rest after a day of work.

The mage looked at Drakeran, rubbing his chin. - You, boy. Stop here, please. - The old man started to walk in circles around him, examining his body. He looked at the size of his nose, inspected his eyes' color, pulled some hairs from his head - what made Drakeran really angry - and at the size of his hands. - Yes, yes, you have it... You have the spark, son. Good luck. - Without saying anything more, he walked back to his chair and continued telling his stories.

It was very confusing for both Drakeran and his father, but if the rumors that the old man was a mage were true... His father quickly started writing a letter, and sent it to the mages of Dalaran. It was about testing Drakeran, indeed, but his point was that lumbering and harvesting potatoes would be much easier with magic, of course.

When the letter's response was finally received and Drakeran traveled to Dalaran, he was eighteen, and so the Mages' Guild did the same inspection as the old man in the tavern. - Yes, this boy has the spark. It is confirmed. - Said one of them. The same week, Drakeran started to have classes and trainings for the usage of magic. It wasn't simple. He needed various lessons about the theory of magic until he could finally focus his mana and cast a simple spell.

The lessons continued for one year, until the Third War began and Drakeran had notices that the Blackrock clan rallied Strahnbrad. His parents did survive, but for pure luck. They were in the hills West of the town, in the house of a friend. And so, months later, the undead invaded Dalaran. Drakeran and other apprentices fled by the North border while the experient mages fought the undead armies on the South. His thoughts quickly turned to his family, and he traveled back to Strahnbrad. Gathering his parents, they escaped from Alterac, seeking for refuge on Drakeran's uncle's house in Redridge Mountains.

They lived well in Lakeshire, his father used to work at the Eastvale Logging Camp, in the eastern border of Elwynn Forest. One month passed, when one of the peasants from Eastvale told Drakeran's father about the Mage Quarter in Stormwind.

Drakeran traveled to the city, and his training continued there. It wasn't like in Dalaran, but it was his only option. When twenty-six, he had notice that Dalaran was relocated at Northrend, and that they were working once again. And now much safer, as Dalaran floated in the skies above Crystalsong Forest. Today, Drakeran proceeds with his temporary tutorship in Stormwind, but still hopes to get to Dalaran and get back to his lessons like it were in the past.

Skills and Abilities

In addition to the standard spells of a mage, Drakeran has the following skills:

Spell Transfiguration - Drakeran is yet an apprentice in magic, and his powers over his spells are few. This means that Drakeran's spells will change the form and effect that he wanted it to have sometimes, and most times the result will be destructive. Sometimes the spell will be amplified, but will get out of Drakeran's control. Ex: Drakeran tries to summon a light to aid his group and it comes as a lighting explosion.

Scholar - Drakeran has mostly spent his time in libraries, reading a great variety of books and grimoires. For this, he has a vast knowledge about biology (he is an expertise about creatures and their features), geography (he is an expertise about the climates, vegetation and the relief of the zones Azeroth) and history (especially about the Third War). Drakeran has a little potential to recognize spells and enchantments as well.

Though he has some difficulties on this area (as cited above), Drakeran holds a fascination for the Conjuring, Polimorphing and Teleport magics (Arcane), focusing on them.
