She has a gun at her side and a bow made of tones across her back. Strapped to her legs are a set of two easily accessible of clawed weapons.

Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Deyne is surprisingly calm despite her age in situations concerning battle and stress, though she can be rash due to her inexperience in life. In such situations, she tends not to think things over before she does them and reacts more out of instinct than formal training. A majority of what she does tends to be spur of the moment and never well thought out. She does have some bits of wisdom, mostly concerning strategies, but those are rare and surprising even to herself when they work out. She likes technology but knows its not the most reliable thing out there, hence why she has started to carry around a bow with arrows on top of her gun and bullets.

Deyne is a bit of a racist when it comes to any other race besides her own. Not to say that she's stuck up, she just makes no effort to understand why the other races do what they do instead of following how the sin'dorei do it.

She is very supportive of the forsaken due to the alliance they have with Silvermoon and will sometimes go out of her way in order to aid one when they request it. She is still uneasy around them, but makes it an effort to understand that without the forsaken, her people would have suffered a great deal more.

She has not, nor will she ever, go out of her way for any member of the Alliance even when requested. Unless it has some sort of benefit to her, she would just as soon allow them to all rot.

History

Deyne was born near the coast in a village known as Goldenmist. Her family was set nicely into a middle class status, while they didn't have everything, they had enough to make them all rather happy. She is the middle child out of three, having an older brother and younger brother.

Deyne followed the family line of hunters as did her brother before her and her brother after her. This of course made her parents rather proud that all of their children were following in their footsteps. She eagerly began her training, though found she was far more interested in guns than she was a simple bow and arrow.

This interest in guns came from a trip she and her father took to Ironforge. Her father was a small time ambassador and took her along in this trip. While he was off talking to the other dwarves, she wandered around and stumbled upon a dwarf practicing. Curious, she bothered her father for the whole trip, asking if she could have a 'boom-stick' too. He showed a great amount of disdain at the idea of his daughter holding a rifle, he eventually thought that she would get over it and bought her one.

She never got over it.

It was the use of guns that sparked her interest in engineering above all other professions. Her family was rather skeptical at first but gave her no trouble when she wished to expand her knowledge on the subject. So long as she wasn't going around shooting peoples eyes out ,or her own, they were happy to provide her with some spare change for her to start saving for the materials she would need. Others thought it odd that she would choose such a weapon, but when she touched it, it gave her an excitement that no wooden bow could match.

During the first war, Deyne was back in Silvermoon while her eldest brother went off to help fight with his human companions. She and her younger brother were deemed too inexperienced to go off and fight in such a war by their parents, as much as they wanted to bring glory to themselves. She used this time in order to train more, spending most of her waking hours out in the woods. She hoped if there was ever a next time, she would be able to help fight and bring glory to her people. The two of them shrugged off their elder brothers odd behavior then he returned home as nothing really important.

She got her chance for 'glory' during the second war where she and both her brothers were sent out into battle. She was somewhat disappointed when her older brother would send the younger two off on run pointless missions if the enemies got too close to their camps but she did see her fair share of 'battle', if you could call such skirmishes a battle. She understands now why her elder brother did such and thanks him for it.

She returned home a little more hardened than before. Some of her closer friends had died in the second war, one of whom she saw bleeding out before he died at last. It was her first true taste at death, watching a man she considered as her brother bleed out while no one could help him. From there her perception on good and evil started to fade a little. What did it matter in the end to her, after all?

Her interest in engineering only increased, seeing some of the items used in the war. She decided to leave to go study as much as she can, wanting to learn as much about it as she could. She made the decision to leave Silvermoon for a while in order to study it with the goblins, said her good-byes and left. She knew it would take a few years for her to understand the more complicated things and intended to stay until she knew as much as she could.

While with the goblins, Deyne picked up on a lot of tips and tricks in order to help improve her guns and was able to be apart in a few starting level practice inventions. She learned quickly that to survive it was normally a wise idea to have some sort of parachute on at all times. She learned how to sketch out blueprints and not to wear nice clothing when dealing with the stuff known as 'oil'. Perhaps the most important thing she learned was that goblin technology had the tendency to fail and that it was always good to have a back-up plan. When her gun would jam on her, she would fall back to using one of the bows she had used as a child.

She was still with the goblins when the third war broke out. Day after day she rushed around, trying to get whatever news on her beloved home that she could. She couldn't figure out why she was starting to get a headache either. At first it started as a dull pain as always, but soon it started to grow to be an almost unbearable. She started to stay in her room and avoid everyone else in hopes that some peace and quiet would help her out but much to her dismay it did not. Once it was deemed safe enough, she packed up and left, heading straight back to her home of Silvermoon. The state of the city left her haunted, even worse was when she discovered the death of her younger brother and parents.

Seeing her brother's broken and mangled body caused her mind to snap. Her thoughts started to tell her that being pure and noble did nothing for anyone, the fate would always be the same in the end for everyone. Her older brother found her mourning over the corpse of the boy and dragged her away from the sight. He explained to her all that had happened and told her that the headache she was experiencing was caused by the separation from the Sunwell. He promised that there would be a way to fix the pain so long as she remained with him for the time being.

The siblings stuck together though the pain and poverty of the third wars aftermath. They suffered together as they watched some of their friends become twisted monsters that would attack others for their mana. When Deyne would almost lose hope, her brother would keep dragging her along and remind her of all they could accomplish if they stayed strong. It was during this time that the siblings constructed matching bows out of the bones of their family members. While the act seemed crazy at first, the two felt that it would be what their parents would have wanted, to aid them in battle when they could no longer be there with them.

It was her bother that first heard the word about the sickly green crystals that apparently cured their addiction. He and Deyne talked it over and decided that, as much as they hated where the source came from, it was too dangerous to keep living as they had been. Deyne felt ill after she drained the crystal of it's substance and was ready to toss it aside until the pain started to ebb away. They used the fel as little as they could in order to avoid the pain but much to their upset, their eyes still turned into that now hated green shade.

The two remained in Silvermoon and avoided the conflict in Northrend to the best of their ability. They were saddened by the betrayal of their prince when he returned from the outlands and even more upset when it was the Draenei of all things that came to aid their people in reclaiming the Sunwell. When the Sunwell was restored, the two cast aside the want for fel and started using each other as a support for the addiction that the substance carried with it. Once the addiction was broken she left Silvermoon, and speaks with her older brother as often as she can.
