Appearance

A long gray robe draped over plate armor, no helmet to speak of.

His body has seven faded scars running along his torso and arms from the falling of Quel'Thalas plus another one running down his left jaw bone and half way down his neck. The silver great sword on his back looks like it has seen better days, it is covered in scratches and seems to be so dull it couldn't cut the skin. Around the blade he seems to have wrapped white bandages around the cracks and chips. He seems to treat this weapon like an old friend, never reforging it but bandaging it whenever it gains a new chip or crack.

Personality

As a Paladin, Desi is a patient, kind, compassionate person when it comes to interacting with people in his life but is known to be rather ruthless when it comes to him fighting the undeath but seems to be rather unable to lose his mind to bloodlust. He is never afraid to get in the path of a blade for his friends and people he wishes to defend and, having a blade in the shape it's in, he much prefers to defend then attack.

He follows the Light like the Church of the Holy Light does, following it like it is his religion as it grants him his powers. He learned the three virtues throughout his life, respect, tenacity and compassion, following them even after his time in the Silver Hand. He will always believe in his religion and will always attempt to make the right decision that will benefit the universe and strengthen the bonds inside both him and the people.

Desi has never liked Orcs ever since the wars they begun and isn't too pleased to fight along side them or their allies, the Trolls. With Humans, he will always view them as traitors but due to past events, he believes he can, with some time, grow to trust them. His views of Draenei are somewhat skewed, he knows they follow the Holy Light but he doesn't understand what the Naaru are and if they even grant them these powers of theirs.

History

Desi was born as one of two twins, both boys with beautiful blond hair. His father was a kind hearted warrior who did his best to protect those he loved and the world he lived in, it was no surprise he was part of the Church of the Holy Light. Their mother, however, wasn't the most well off person. She was a beggar until their father helped her find her way back into society and, coincidentally, into his arms as they were soon happily married with the twins coming soon after.

As soon as Desi could walk, his brother also could and they seemed to do everything together. Both had a knack for exploring and often found their way into situations that neither could overcome by themselves. They were absolutely inseparable and this never failed to put a smile on their parent's faces as they watched them.

Their father watched as they grown together and decided both of them would do well to continue in his footsteps and begun to train them in the ways of the warrior. Both brothers came at this idea with great enthusiasm and always trained and sparred together, neither of them coming out as the better one. As they both were trained as a warrior their father also taught them of the ways of the Holy Light and introduced them to the church at an early age.

As time went on and both boys turned into men and became full fledged warriors. Together they followed the Holy Light while keeping true to their blades and even as war began to loom over Azeroth, they never left one another. Joining the armies of the Humans, they were kept as soldiers and were remarked as one of the greater pair of soldiers among the ranks. This was believed to be due to the fact they were simply one person in two bodies, the brothers, however, ignored this and continued to fight beside each other.

The First War came as the Orcs begun to pile through dark portals. The pair of them were set in the same squadron and fought with one another, keeping the other safe and strong the whole way. Despite their efforts, the war didn't end in the favor of the Humans as they were pushed back by the invading greenskins. The two brothers thought they were not doing enough with the position they were in and decided to aim higher and luckily, that goal was achieved after the war was over.

The Knights of the Silver Hand, an order who crafted warriors of the light and named them Paladins. The brothers saw this as an opportunity they could not turn down and, with their father's good wishes, they joined this order. They were refined in the ways of the three virtues, respect, tenacity and compassion and taught how to wield the light in a way to protect others. As the years passed by they both were given the titles of Paladin with honor.

Then the Second War approached and the armies of the Humans decided to push the orcs back to where they came from. The newly born order of Paladins fought valiantly in the midst of battle, protecting their comrades and fighting back the orcs and their dark magic. Both of the two brothers once again fought together and did very well during the war, their powers pushing their abilities further then they could believe was possible with a blade.

At the aftermath of the Second War with the Dark Portal being destroyed, both brothers, after a life of companionship, finally left one another to go their own ways. Both of them remained true to the Light and their Paladinship, Desi leaving to the Temple of Light in Stratholme and his brother leaving for the other side of the Continent, to the reborn city of Stormwind and the Cathedral of Light. As they both left they made one simple promise to each other. Protect.

During the period of peace after the Second War, Desi found a friend at Stratholme, a Human Woman with a young daughter and yet no father. She was learning to become a priestess after she made a mistake one night and ended with a daughter. The daughter whom she loves so much. Both of them became good friends, helping each other whenever it was needed and Desi protecting her when criticism came her way due to the bastard child at her side.

Both of them knew they could never love one another and thus, never did. However, the daughter grew up viewing Desi as the closest thing she ever had to a father and admired him very much. Once again, Desi had to leave as the threat of plague came over Lordaeron, he chose to combat it and left Stratholme. This did not last for long as the plague continued to grow worse and worse every day and thus, he chose to return to his homeland of Quel'Thalas. He took a short trip to Stratholme before he left and told the Human woman and her daughter to run.

He then left, not knowing whether or not they chose to escape. But, his worries only extended as Strateholme was purged by Arthas and, some time later, Arthas returned to destroy his very kingdom. Desi met his brother once again during his stay at Quel'Thalas and both were glad to see each other still following the Light. The Scourge then struck, harder then anyone could of believed. Desi was stricken with many wounds and was forced to retreat from the battlefield. His brother wasn't so lucky to escape with his life.

Desi never knew what happened to his brother and concluded he was missing as he couldn't bare the thought of his other self falling in battle when he did not. Without the Sunwell and without the Light returning to him, he gave into his addiction and for the first and last time of his life, he consumed the Fel Magic given to him and became a Blood Elf. He never felt that feeling before and knew it wasn't right and thus, began to search for redemption.

With the birth of the Blood Knights, Desi viewed their very organization as corrupt, the way they bended the light of a Naaru to their wills. Despite being a Paladin himself, yet a Paladin without the Light, he refused to ever join their order. Even after the Sunwell was restored once more and the Naaru forgiving them, he continued his life as a lone Paladin. Never joining another order and doing the best he could to strengthen his bond with the universe and strengthening the bonds of others too.
