Appearance

He often wears whatever he comes across during his travels, or whatever he can afford. He wears moderately fancy clothing when he is not working, and in a town or city, though.

Alignment

Delurin is completely Neutral, he doesn't care whether he comes across as good or evil, as long as he survives. He follows what he believes would benefit himself, and at times, the rest of the world. This makes him somewhat unpredictable if the person who hires him does not know his current motives or his personality well enough.

Personality

Delurin is serious when he needs to be, but prefers to keep the mood light, whatever he's doing. When working or out on the field with others, he makes little jokes to keep anyone with him from being stressed, because if he's fighting in a group or protecting someone, the last thing he needs is someone messing up because of stress. He loves a good story, and often can be found in a Tavern either listening to other people's stories, or telling some of his own. However, he remains serious when the situation calls for it, such as when a possible employer doesn't like the joking, or stays serious themselves, or when his time out in the field requires silence and stealth. He covets gourmet food and drink, even going so far as to take them as payment instead of coin at times they are offered.

When he is in a tavern, it's not unlikely that people can hear his laughter, joking around, speech, etcetera. What friends he makes along the way, he stays loyal to, and they are one of the few people he has little to no chance of betraying for a better price. Due to recent events, such as the rekindled flame of war between the Alliance and the Horde, he is untrusting of any Horde race he may find, especially the Forsaken and Blood Elves. He is repulsed by the Forsaken due to their ties to the Scourge, and frankly due to the fact that they are undead at all. He does not trust the Blood Elves a bit, due to their betrayal of the Alliance. He trusts the other Horde races more than these two races in particular, but is still unlikely to make deals with them, either. He is quite untrusting of the Knights of the Ebon Blade, but he will put up with them if he has to.

History

Delurin was born to a small family in Stormwind city. His father was a small-time smith, and his mother helped with the shop the family had owned. His father crafted beautiful weapons and armor and would sell them to any who needed them. The ones that Delurin even cared a little about were the various adventurers who found their way into the shop. At the age of 4, he watched the adventurers walk into the shop, buy what they needed, and leave, often without speaking much. However, they didn't interest him much until he grew up enough to be allowed to leave the house. He would find himself passing by a Tavern every once in a while, and overhearing one such adventurer bragging about their most recent exploits.

These intrigued Delurin so much that he made a habit of finding the most popular Taverns for such people, and listening in on such stories. By the time he was a teenager, he had decided that he wanted to be able to tell such stories, to say that he braved the depths of the worst caves imaginable, slain the foul demons or some such that resided there, and took the bounty of gold that they protected! However, up until now, his parents had planned on him learning to become a Blacksmith and help at home. When they learned of this, they took time to think of it, and begrudgingly allowed Delurin to do so, even giving him a sword to use in his travels.

He knew that if he didn't get trained in the use of weaponry, he was useless. So when he finally had set out from his home, one of the first things he did was to obtain some money by helping locals out, and spend it on some proper training in any forms of close-combat he could get. He would later combine the small amount of training he had with close-combat weaponry such as swords and axes of the single-handed and two-handed variety, with what he learned on his own. He is still traveling, looking for the greatest stories to tell others in the taverns, and still looking for more training in combat. To find such stories, and with them, riches beyond his wildest dreams, he decided that it would be best to work for and in some cases, travel with, others. However, for this he expects to be paid a decent sum of money by anyone in need of a soldier for hire.
