Other: To top off her horribly cliche Dwarfiness, Dandel's shoulders, cheeks, nose and forehead are a spattered mess of freckles.

Personality

Dandel is a warm sort, always preferring the optimistic side of things. Although the fact that she was brought up with naught but rough-housing brothers has made her a bit of a tomboy, the woman still enjoys girly things like a new pair of shoes or a light smattering of makeup. She's an adventurous sort with a thirst for new and exciting missions and places. The fact that she lives in such a spectacular world with so much diversity, culture and so many new things to discover has made her a little lady with a love for life.

History

Dandel Kettleforge burst forth as a crying, screaming, pooping mass after three others (all boys), making her the youngest and only female sibling in her family. Her mother made a fine housewife to her stout, burly little man of a father, a hunter and marksman. He was perhaps the biggest influence the wee Dwarf would have in her lifetime, as his guidance paved the way for what would inevitably await her in the future.

When she was old enough, her father would take her and her brothers out with him while he hunted. She learned how to shoot, track animals and find her way if she ever got lost out in the white, sweeping hills of Dun Morogh. However, the thing she found great interest in were the times where her father would rattle off this and that about various creatures that lived both in their lands and others, all across the continent and far across the sea. Her bright, green eyes would widen with excitement when he talked of the magnificent way these animals lived, each lending a hand to the life cycle of the entire planet. Because of this, she quickly began studying up on every animal she came across. When she wasn't rough-housing with her brothers, she was off somewhere with books, sketching out pictures of wolves and rabbits in charcoal and reading up on how mountain lions hunt for their food.

Her brothers brushed off her interest and her mother probably could've cared less, but her father took note of her studies. He'd mentioned several times over, a group of adventurers who's main guild hall was stationed in the great city of Ironforge. When she was old enough, Dandel waited for word that would quickly travel to her home town of Kharanos -- word of the Explorer's League accepting new applicants. That green torch didn't lie! Dandel basically did everything but gnaw her way through the crowd to sign up. Imagine the young woman's elation when she found that her application had been accepted! Her knowledge of fauna hadn't gone overlooked. Little did she know that it was much too early to celebrate.

The real fun was when she and several other inductees were wrangled up and taken out into the wilderness with some of the League members -- the final test, so to speak. Bitter cold winds, snow and ice. Days of hiking. Each inductee was taken into consideration on how well they fared, and how much knowledge they had in survival and the wild. Dandel managed to hold her own, albeit frostbitten by the end of the journey, and was finally inducted into the Explorers' League.

Her present position in the society sees her staying close to home, working with troops around Dun Morogh and Loch Modan, mostly. She keeps countless notes and sketches of several animal packs, flocks, herds and families scattered throughout the lands, and has tended to injured or sick animals that have been taken in by the League until they were able to be out on their own again. However, the Dwarf is still young, and eager to someday head out on excursions beyond the southernmost Eastern Kingdoms, perhaps even beyond the continent itself.
