Appearance

Daedre cares very much for his appearance. He is rarely seen wearing the same thing twice and mix and matches his clothes frequently. His style ranges from well-made casual wear to very formal suits. All of these clothes are crafted by Sin'Dorei, save for his combat leather which was gifted to him by his mother upon his induction to the Farstriders.

He studiously keeps himself clean and proper, at times dreading the thought of getting dirty. It is because of this that Daedre will often burn any clothes which have had blood dropped on them, with the exception of his combat leather. His skin is flawless with the exception of a still-healing tear shaped scar below his right eye.

Personality

Alignment: Lawful Neutral-Evil

Daedre has a great deal of confidence in himself and his abilities, sometimes to a fault. He often times forgets his place amongst his more-noble peers, but when put into a bleak situation his confidence can bring him to great heights.

He is cocksure, suave, and engaging. This conflicts with his nobility, as oftentimes when discretion is called for he has a difficult time holding back his feelings. This sometimes causes him to break away from political responsibilities and conventions, lest his mouth get him into trouble. He holds high respect for wielders of magic, though, no matter the field. When confronted with a magic wielder, Daedre will tread very lightly; those are the times where his caution comes out.

Daedre is a lustful being, too. His sexual orientation is promiscuous and his attitude toward relationships is very open. He has no problem drinking, ingesting substances, and fornicating with strangers. A frequenter of less-prestigious venues, Daedre enjoys socializing with people his noble family would consider “beneath them.” While he does hold the Seregon prejudice that the Sin'Dorei are the ‘master race' to be true, he does not see a problem with socializing with them. They [other races] are valuable tools to be used, and the best way to wield them is with friendship (be it false or faithful).

History

Daedre was born into the Seregon family, the youngest of three children; two boys and one girl. His father, Maenar Seregon, was a politician and a mage. Being fluent in the ways of arcane magic, his father guided Daedre's older brother and sister to become students of magic. His father was a kind man who looked after his family with pride, but Daedre never showed signs of magical talent. The boy was energetic and a magnet for trouble. While his brother and sister were studying at home, he would traverse the bazaar, seeing what new and interesting items people were bringing to Silvermoon City.

Maenar kept a tight enough leash that no harm came of his youngest child's escapades, while at the same time keeping secret Daedre's ineptitude with magic. Daedre's mother, Alyssa, married into the Seregon family. Having two sisters who did not study magic, Alyssa knew the hardships that came with being non magic-user. She proposed that Daedre join the Farstriders, as to avoid bringing the family shame.

It would be some time after his studies before he began training as a Farstrider ranger. When the time finally came, though, Daedre was very excited. The prospects of roaming the wilderness for foes and protecting the land with brothers in arms ignited a passion in him. When he met who his brothers in arms were to be, though, his enthusiasm faltered.

The men and women he served with were lower born then he. It was his first taste of elitism, and he didn't care for it. Despite being raised to think of himself as better than others, Daedre adapted and meshed in with his new cohorts. He trained for many years in the ways of ranging, and although he was none too good with a bow he did catch on quickly with knife-wielding. Eventually, his superiors decided it best for Daedre to be a part of an experimental sect of the Farstriders.

The Farstriders, at the time, had noticed the benefits of espionage and stealth that other races (tribal trolls, among them) had been using. They attempted to create and nurture their own division of silent combatants. Daedre was thrust into the experiment, along with several of his peers who too showed no real gift for conventional ranging techniques.

The group trained under new guidance, developing unique skills centered on the principle that quick, efficient and unnoticeable action was the only way to accomplishing tasks. For many decades Daedre worked with this group, training and honing his skills. The group disabled insurrection before the public was aware any insurrection was occurring. They protected trade routes from thieves and ruffians who thought them to be deserted. Often times the group would smuggle in goods, too, which politicians would otherwise be unable to legally attain. The latter contributed to the experiment's downfall, though, and eventually the Farstriders had to wipe the program from their repertoire.

Daedre and his now-good-friends were left with a unique skill set but no work to speak of. While his sister went on to practice magic with the Kirin Tor at Dalaran and his brother sped down the political path their father had created for him, Daedre began his search for purpose. Financially he was secure enough to louse around. That is exactly what he did. For many years, Daedre Seregon became a well known name in seedy taverns scattered around Silvermoon. His generous nature and wild idea of fun was as intoxicating to his friends as the wine he would buy them. His fellow ex-Farstrider friends were among these people. Maenar, while not approving of his son's behavior, was too busy accommodating to the new leader of House Seregon, Elrohir Seregon. Maener soon became a great support of Elrohir and respected the man greatly. Daedre was blind to this shift in power, focusing on how to enjoy the moment with his friends. Daedre's party would not end until tainted bloodthistle appeared in High Elf culture.

His father's brother, Dulcius Seregon, became infatuated with tainted bloodthistle. This alteration of the blood thistle herb resulted in euphoric and mind-fuzzing experiences. Hallucinations and feelings of grandeur were common amongst users. The product itself was rare and looked down upon by society, though, so Daedre's uncle needed assistance in acquiring any. Dulcius would turn to his nephew, not because he was aware of the duties he performed under the Farstriders, but because he disapproved of Daedre's careless and wasteful behaviors. He felt Daedre's father had a weak spot for the youngest, and took it upon himself to put Daedre to work. So, through the necessity of his uncle's craving of tainted bloodthistle, Daedre formed ‘The Jackals.'

The Jackals were a collaboration of many ex-Farstriders, led by Daedre Seregon and <????> .They called themselves The Jackals because of the nature of their work. Tainted bloodthistle was moved discreetly from supplier to buyer, buyer to seller. During these transitions, The Jackals would jump in, retrieve the order, and return to Dulcius Seregon. In this way, the ex-Farstriders were taking the disapproved substance out of the public's hands and into the responsible hands of a nobleman. It was a way to both sustain work and uphold the values instilled in them as Farstriders. The Jackals eventually strayed from appeasing only Dulcius, and began working for various other political families who needed small-jobs taken care of. They would never repeat the error they made as Farstriders, assisting in illegal activity, though. During the Second War, The Jackals mainly found themselves acquiring stolen military assets – a job which was too small-scale for the typical military groups to handle.

Then came the Third War, and with it the rise of the scourge and the fall of Quel'Thalas.

The effects of the scourge drastically changed Daedre's life, as it had for every “Blood Elf.” His sister survived the attack on Dalaran, as she was working with the Kirin Tor. His father and mother were both slain in defense of the region, and his brother was gravely injured. The Jackals lost almost all of their members, and Daedre consequentially lost most of his friends. His parent's will saw Daedre's sister gain a large portion of the family's wealth. His older brother was given the estate and political standing of the house, and Daedre was given what little was left.

However, as his older brother recovered from his wounds he joined The Argent Dawn, as a way to avenge the death of his parents. Daedre was gifted the remainder of his family's wealth and was now responsible for being the face of his family's section of House Seregon. His uncle Dulcius had survived the siege, as did the leader of House Seregon at the time, Tavarius Seregon. Daedre had thought less and less of his uncle Dulcius as he continued to succumb to his drugs, and he did not know enough about Tavarius to care. He went back to his lazy-days, until the eldest Seregon, Elrohir, returned. He resumed leadership of the house, and Daedre decided to pay homage to his father's principles, dedicating his respect to Elrohir. It was no secret within the family that Elrohir was a harsh and brutal man, but Daedre conceded that he would honor and serve the man in respect for his own father.

Skills and Abilities

-Agility and stealth: Daedre is able to move quickly and quietly.
- Endurance: He has a particularly high tolerance for pain. This is not to say he does not feel pain, but rather when he is in pain he is able conceal his emotional reaction to it.
- Daggers: Daedre is quick and fluid when using daggers and knives. He was trained to end an opponent's life quickly and with grace. This training was his father's doing to make up for his lack of talent with magic.
-Distractions: He is fluent in the art of intentional distractions such as smoke bombs and flash bombs.
