History

Born in Boralus, the capital of Kul Tiras, to the mistress of Jereg Blacklore, a noble, Curtis lived a fairly pampered childhood with his mother Loreen. Together they lived on the outskirts of the city where the Jereg supported them. He was able to grow up with many friends around the area and was soon home-schooled. However by the time the boy was seven problems began to arise.

Nerissa Blacklore, the noble' wife, found out about Loreen and sent her own personal hit-men after her. Upon hearing the news of the hit-men she took the money she had, Curtis and ran. Taking the nearest boat they journeyed to the farmlands of Westfall. On the boat, however, both the woman and the child were abused one more than the other. Curtis tried to defend his mother, but the men were sailors and they were tough. He received his first black-eye on the ship along with a cracked rib.

Arriving to Westfall, Loreen took Curtis to Moonbrook. She managed to rent a small place and lived there with Curtis. The boy began to work for the local farmers as a farmhand in order to help his mother who worked as a bartender in the local pub. It was tough work, but Curtis was a tough boy and he enjoyed it. By the time the boy was fifteen, he had learned to play the guitar from the locals in Moonbrook. He lived with his mother in Moonbrook, worked at the farms and played the guitar, where he was praised as a prodigy, until, with a little help from his mother, he decided to move to Stormwind City at the age of eighteen and join the military.

Not a year after he joined the army, the First War began. Although he was inexperienced, he managed to survive until the fall of Stormwind, where he evacuated to Lordaeron, leaving his mother behind in Westfall. He was unsure as to what happened to Moonbrook, but he later found out it was destroyed, his mother along with it.

The Second War, came just as quickly as the first, however Curtis was honored to take the position of Corporal. In the re-taking of Tol Barad, Curtis was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, when his squad was killed and he was the last man standing. Although he mourned the death of his friends, he continued to push with the army until reaching Blackrock Mountain, where the war was won. He helped round the orcs into their internment camps and soon settled down in the newly rebuilt Stormwind, but not before 'burying' his mother.

On his downtime, he continued to practice his swordplay and became an accomplished blues-man. He learned to craft weapons at this time and was able to create his own personal weapon, which was an extremely sharp and thin blade.

Eventually, the Third War started and he quickly joined up with Prince Arthas on his 'crusade', in order to stop the Scourge from threatening the world. However, when it came to the time to cull Stratholme, he decided to stray from his path and followed Jaina to Kalimdor. He was disgusted with how the prince was hell-bent on his quest and felt he was stepping out of line. He fought bravely against the Legion, once arriving to Kalimdor. Curtis managed to come out of the war unscathed and returned to his home in Stormwind where he spent the next few years.

Upon hearing of the opening of the Dark Portal, he strayed from going anywhere near it. The monsters inside were bad enough, but the orcs who he helped to capture, were from there and he didn't want to involve himself. He moved to Westfall and began to work, once again, as a farmhand. That is, until the Scourge invasion.

He joined the Alliance Expedition and helped to defend Valiance Keep against the Scourge. Upon hearing of the Lich King' death, he returned to Stormwind to hand in his resignation to the army and left the city, in search of a new life.
