History

Like most Gnomes there was a vast period of adjustment after the fall and evacuation of Gnomeregan. Fizzlewick originally worked as a lineman in the preventive maintenance program on the Iron Forge, Stormwind Tram. After a freak and most blinding accident with a poxitronic arcanite thulsian arc-welder core-adapter, Cogwheel lost a portion of his eyesight thus loosing his tinkering edge. After a long bout with depression and drinking with his new Dwarven friends, it was his friendship with fellow laborer Nathaniel Holdstein that kept him from falling any further. After a few months of quitting drinking and rehabilitation, he came across a lucrative idea with the aid of Nathaniel. They felt that with the ever growing trade between the three races, the humans lacked a real know how, as well as any instructional literature on the subject of engineering. True they could build basic structures in the eyes of Gnome or Dwarf standards, yet they felt they could get them more so on the right track. Fizzlewick and Nathaniel, began to transcribe numerous instructional booklets on subjects varying from mechanical household products like the automated door stop, to the automatic keg dispenser. Remember those radium enriched cases to cook your scrambled eggs and omelets? His invention was sold all across the world, until it was recalled leading a a leper outbreak. But after a lucrative run and gathering up enough money, he decided to invest in the former Azeroth printers of Stormwind and reopen it as the Azerothian Chronicle.

The world was becoming a smaller place, and with the Alliance growing as it were the need for news reporting seemed to be a right thing to do. Cogwheel remains the driving force of reporting any and all newsworthy stories found in and around Azeroth. He currently has a store front located on the Northern side of the Trade district facing the Stockades. Already his circulation can be found as far north as Southshore all the way south in the port city of Booty Bay and as far west as Astranaar down to the sandy beaches of Steamwheedle in Tanaris.
