Cid

He is usually pretty relaxed since he normally has a buzz from alcohol at all times. He has hung around many races for most of his life giving him an indifferent opinion on racist terms. In his eyes he could care less, if they are worth something (gold, companionship, drinking buddy ect.) then will accept them as they are. He has one pet peeve, he hates seeing men of any race in a robe. He considers it a dress, and doesn't have a problem telling them about it. Other than that most anyone can usually get along with him, especially if they drink and are paying. He also loves to spend time fishing, even if he doesn't catch anything.

Colaes

His newest pet isn't what anyone would normally expect of a Sin'dorei. Growing tired of dealing with the raging hormones of an adolescent female Dragonhawk. Cid has moved on releasing his once favorite pet Sparky into the wild lands of Eversong Woods. He has tamed a young female Chimera by the name of Colaes. The relationship is quite stern as Cid is a supply of food for the twin headed creature. She has taken on some unwanted traits seeming to figure waist pouches, and backpacks must contain food. Which can lead to some awkward meetings when you have a twin headed Chimera ravaging the bag around someone's waist, or back.

History=

Cid was born to his merchant parents in Silvermoon. His father Adin Windseeker was a master blacksmith making heavy armor, and weapons. His mother Lelia Windseeker was a seamstress, and delved into working with leather. They were both happy for their child, and were successful as merchants. While they were far from rich, they were just as far from poverty easily lingering in the upper middle class of Silvermoon. Around his mid teens he began to work with his parents to help them keep money on the table. Though his inclination was more towards smithing than sewing which meant he spent most of his time with his father. When he was not working in the forge he was helping his mother sew clothes, and make patches to light armor. When Cid turned forty years of age his father took it on himself to teach his son the way of the hunter from his days as a farstrider. Cid learned how to sharpen his senses, tame wild animals and even track some of the most elusive animals in Eversong Woods. He continued his training during his free time making sure he worked hard to make up for lost time. His life for the most part went without any major incidents, a slightly above average life for a Quel'dorei male.

The first war was little more than words that rested on Cid's ears. While the Quel'dorei helped out with the least they could he remained unaffected by the war until the formation of the alliance. He was now ninety-six years of age, and still working with his parents. Not a year after the formation of the alliance Cid's father was called upon to help fight the second coming of the horde. Cid was well over the age to participate in the war, but his father wanted him to stay home to take care of his mother. He eventually gave in, and agreed to his fathers words, and help his mother keep the family business running. Work was booming with the need for armor repairs. Eventually the war would end, and his father would return home with a new plan for the family. During the war Adin, with the help of others were able to secure many of the aircraft the Old Horde used. Using some old favors, and a decent chunk of gold he was able to obtain one of the aircraft which was still flightworthy. He returned to his family, and proposed the idea that they take up shipping between the factions.

While it took some persuading to get Lelia to even step foot on the contraption. Eventually they sold what they could of their business, and took to the skies. Cid was a hundred, and one years of age when they started flying. He was reluctant to take his feet off the ground at first, but he soon found that flying was the best thing in the world to him. It took a better part of a year to master fully the art of navigation, but the trio was able to copy the same tactic used by captains of the sea. Once they were able to prove they could arrive at their intended destination business poured in from all factions. In the near decade of peace the family made more money than their previous business could ever could have made in that time span. Zeppelins turned out to be a prime choice of travel, and their speed gave them the advantage of shipping time sensitive materials.

It wasn't long before the alliance splintered apart, and caused their business to drop quite a bit. They ended up relying on transportation between areas of Quel'thalas usually to, and from the isle of Quel'danas. It wasn't a year later that their world would be shattered. War was on their front doorstep, and they did what they could taking as many fleeing elves as they could. The third war had started, and the Quel'dorei were not prepared for the assault. Saddened that their home was demolished Cid, and his family did what they could to help their fleeing race. Soon after they turned their attention on helping the war effort. Their zeppelin proved itself useful in the transport of troops, delivery of food rations and supplies. The trio purchased mana gems, and crystals to suit their addiction to magic.

Eventually the elves began to retake their homeland once again under the banner of the newly founded 'Sin'dorei'. Their promises were seemingly to good to be true, but he returned to assist with his family. Eventually the elves reclaimed Silvermoon, and his parents found themselves feeling homesick. They both had hit their early nineth century, and they grew tired of flying all over the place. Cid ended up inheriting the entire business while his parents set off to help the 'Sin'dorei' as they could in their retirement. During this time Cid traveled around, and soon found some contracts with the Steamwheedle Cartel. It wasn't a killing like before, as zeppelins weren't in limited supply, but it was enough for him to get by without issue.

While he was shipping for the cartel he still continued to ship supplies for the sin'dorei, and the elves had a new way to get their magic intake. He was taught how to siphon magic, and he like many took their magic from enslaved demons. He had a bad reaction to the magic, and became extremely addicted to it's influence. His craving for the fel magic was heavy, and he began to crave it more than he craved anything else. His only stroke of luck was an orc he had befriended in the bay named Grimkol. While their friendship was shakily based on the fact that they were a challenge to each other in a fight. Grimkol had seen fel addictions before, and took it upon himself to bar his elven friend from all forms of magic until the fel magic was out of his system. It took a few days for the corrupt energy to leave Cid's body, leaving him in a pretty bad state for the most part. His recovery from the addiction wasn't one of his happier memories, but he owed his life to the experience of his friend. With this he distanced himself from most of his own kind, knowing full well that if fel had this kind of addiction he could only hope that it wouldn't corrupt his entire race. He seered clear of Quel'thalas, and just kept his news up to date on the land by talking to those he would meet in the many taverns occupying the four goblin controlled ports.

Cid ended up making a full recovery, but his vision had been badly damaged due to the intake of fel. Once he found a way to correct his vision using a pair of goggles with properly altered lenses he returned to shipping once again. He kept clear of fel energy, and purchased mana gems or crystals to feed on magic. When he had to stop in the bay he made sure to pay his friend a visit, and 'shoot the bull' over heavy drinks. This lasted for about a year before Grimkol was murdered, and Cid nearly lost his life as well. On a night of drinking, they were headed to sleep off their drunken state. A robber decided to take advantage of the drunken pair, and ended up mugging the two. During an attempt at lashing out against the robber Grimkol suffered a fatal injury that killed him immediately. Cid nearly suffered the same fate having his throat slit open. He was left for dead, but was lucky enough to be found by a healer. Cid was enraged as he made his recovery, and put his shipping on hold as he tracked down the robber. After a few dead ends he found a lead, and confronted the man outside of the bay. The confrontation was short, and a different result. Without the aid of alcohol's effects the robber fell at Cid's hands, and was ended with a series of blasts of arcane that ripped the mans body apart. Cid dragged the mans carcass into the jungle hoping that he would never be resurrected after being digested by wild animals.

Cid returned to his shipping, and things continued as usual. His life slowly began to pick up, but no matter how far he got over things he always takes a weekly visit to the graveyard outside the bay. After he received news that the Sunwell was back to normal, he made a return home to check things out. He found out the entire of his race was releasing themselves from the hold of Fel energy, this made him glad that things were returning to normal. He found out everything, including the betrayal of Prince Kael'thas which he didn't care for in the first place after having to make a recovery from fel energy. He passed the news off as good, and after a general inspection of the land he felt the lands that were once his home were safe again. While in Quel'thalas he would bathe in the magic of the sunwell, and have his mana crystals recharged. During these times he stayed in Silvermoon, and stayed in an inn or with his parents. One day while he was visiting Silvermoon a friend would notice that Cid was traveling alone, and took it upon himself to give Cid a newborn dragonhawk. He accept the gift, and raised the fussy newborn female he named 'Sparky' due to the dragonhawks natural ability to shoot fire from their mouth. It was a learning experience as he tried to tame the feisty creature, but after a few months he was finally accepted. Although she was tame there were times where she would still lash out for different reasons.

Current History

A year down the road his life would remain normal until he crossed the path of a female elf. She sought out the man that assassinated her father, and he agreed to help her. This lead down a winding path, and ended up in The Outlands where Cid ventured with her. He ended up losing his contracts due to helping the girl, and soon after had to break away from the quest for his own safety. She was heading into dangerous parts of The Outlands, and he felt the place wasn't worth his life. He returned, and took personal shipping contracts but nothing with stable footing. While waiting for contracts he hired the help of an artist, and had a pair of vipers tattooed on his forearms. He chased a shipping lead in ratchet he met up with a group, and was soon given the offer to join. He took the offer, and is now a part of the 'Legacy Brotherhood' which resides as a sub group of 'Vindictive Light'. During the time in the group he found a motorcycle for sale, and bought it. He spent a few days fixing it up, and now uses it as a main source of ground transportation. It wasn't long before he made friends with many weird people in the group.

While inside he helped out as best he could, offering to help fight and even for them to use his ship to travel. His travels brought him all over Azeroth, and some of the safer parts of Draenor which landed him multiple shipping contracts. Over the next few months he built up his reputation to the newer merchants, and some of the old ones he used to deal with. It was during this time that he finally grew tired of dealing with the pet he had raised by hand. He knew that she would get more ferocious, and he released her into the wilds of Eversong Woods. He sailed alone, and after a few theft attempts at his ship he found that he needed to find a new pet. After searching the libraries of Silvermoon, he came across an article about the Chimera. While a ferocious pet to try to tame, he found that once tame they were very loyal so long as their needs were met. He made plans to stop by Azhara, and tame one while on a delivery. After finding a lone Chimera, he found the creature was quite hard to tame, and it took several attempts before he would finally win over the respect of the creature. With his new pet he returned to shipping supplies, and helping the group. While he still gave his efforts to the group it wouldn't be too long before the group disappeared except for a few straggling members. After trying to find out what happened every angle he looked was met with a huge gap with no conclusion. Figuring the guild had disbanded he turned his full attention back to what he knew best, shipping. While he still knew some people, one in particular seemed to appear back into his life. While he barely knew the Kal'dorei female, Mika Mistwalker, having only met a few times due to a common friend they shared, Vyndus. While Cid treated Vyndus like the younger brother he never had, it was Vyndus that played a major role in reuniting the two. After hearing that she had just been resurrected, and her ship was sitting at the bottom of the great seas in more pieces than it took to assemble. Cid agreed to offer her a job letting her take over the navigation of his ship to help her back on her feet.

It would be Vyndus once again who would make a slight shove, and bring to attention that Mika was infact admiring Cid from a distance. This was brought to his attention when Vyndus pushed Mika to buy him a drink. This was awkward from his standpoint since he had never had a female buy him a drink, and given the other situations between her friends prying him for questions. Cid put the clues together, and confronted her the next day. While Cid had grown tired of his prior relations with Sin'dorei females he had started to wonder. After some talking between them in private they both agreed to give it a try, and up to recent he has found it to be one of the best decisions he has made. As for now he continues to take contracts for shipping, and helps Mika learn the ways of sailing an airship. He now keeps clear of Silvermoon, knowing until the war is over he would be considered a traitor to the sin'dorei, and if caught in his homelands after they would find out he would more than likely be executed. He now buys mana crystals from the neutral ports, and enjoys his new life much more than the one prior.

Skills and Abilities

  • Arcane Fists: Cid has the ability like most hunters to put arcane energy into items, which will explode on impact. He uses this ability to put arcane energy into the steel plates of his fists which cause an explosion of arcane focused on his target. Making his fists his most dangerous weapons given his unarmed fighting style. For it to work it has to hit, and explodes outward in an arc causing the damage. As with all uses of arcane magic by anyone the more frequent the use the harder it becomes to resist using arcane energy. As with all magic it takes its toll, and will tire the user out afterwards the extent depending on how deep their mana pool is.
