Personality

Ceres is a wicked, cackling forsaken with an interest in the health of the undead. Her sallow sense of humor coupled with a morbid outlook on undeath make her an intrepid healer. Her moral on her second life is that she was already given another chance, why not take this second one to live fast. She takes a keen interest in the properties of herbs and their effects on the living or undead. She is outward to others, always willing for a chat outside of her mundane working life.

History

Born in Lordaeron, Maria Lavinia started her life at 18 as a trainee in ministering and working with the Light. Her human life was short lived however, dedicating all of her time to the church. By the time the Scourge ran down on Lordaeron, her and her family stayed in the city to help protect it from the waves of Scourge invading the city. Her entire family was brutally killed, Maria with them. Risen in the clothes she died in, her life was commandeered to the Lich King. It was not long before the three Dreadlords assaulted the town and took most of the undead humans with them. Maria, having regained her free will to Sylvanas, instantly turned to help fight off the Dreadlords that invaded after the departure of Arthas.

Her mind replaced and her will returned, Maria found Sylvanas to be a hero to her, lamenting her life as a mindless Scourge. The fear of becoming an undead during her human life had vanished, replaced with the undying gratefulness to her Banshee Queen. She re-examined her own belongings, finding a necklace in her battered robe that read the name of her sister. Not knowing any better, Maria took the name of her kin, Ceres Lavinia, and turned back to a new power. The power that had saved her. She dedicated herself to the Cult of Forgotten Shadows and the Royal Apothecary Society, her interests turning into the Shadows and the Herbs of the earth. The Light that the priests and ministers claimed would forever save her had done the opposite, and there was no use going back. The shadow had given her another chance, another chance to turn against the Kingdom that swore to protect her life. She wanted to be able to heal the injured forsaken like herself with the potions she could create, while defending herself with the power of the Shadow. To this day she spends her life working with herbs and potions and studying intently in the Forgotten Shadow.
