Casandra's personality varies on the people she is with or the situation she is in, whether she is fighting in some lord's war or just being around with friends and family. Usually she acts like a 'decent' lady, but can also be seen in bar fights or standing at a bar counter, drinking till she drops. Though she likes action and danger, Casadra still knows how to kick back and take a deep breath now and then.

Casandra's actions is rarely thought throug as she is fairly young and mainly reacts and acts based on feelings and instincts. Furthermore she is a girl who never knows when to backs down from a fight and run away. She would rather stand her ground and fight off her enemies, till she would know that her comrades were at a safe distance before she would advance back herself, which is a advantage in some situations but also a weakness in others.

History

Casandra was born in Stormwind and lived the first year inside of Old Town. As her parents grew poor, they moved out of Stormwind and moved to Lakeshire in Redridge Mountains and spend a few years living and working at the Inn there. A few years had gone by and Casandra had grown into a beautiful young girl and one day her mother brought her along with her, to pick flowers in the hills behind the inn. It was a beautiful spring morning, birds flying about in the air, singing their lovely songs as the sun rose from behind the mountains. As Casandra and her mother spend the following morning picking flowers and herbs from the wild, a pair of unfriendly eyes watched them from the bushes. A piercing scream would roam around in the hills as Casandra saw her mother being forced the ground and tied up, by a pack of vicious Gnolls. Casandra stood still for a second, paralyzed by fear as she watches her screaming mother get carried away, further into the hills. More she did not see before she felt this searing pain in her backhead, quickly turning her head about to see what might have caused the pain, only to meet the eyes of a Gnoll, staring her right in the face, grinning it's teeth as she slowly dropped to the ground, fainted.

The next moment she opened her eyes, she found herself tied on hands and feet on a cold floor made out of solid rock. Various sounds filled the cave around in as she her confused eyes searched the room around her, only to discover that the only light she would have on her came from another room a few meters away from her. A foul stench of burned and rotten meat leftovers were hanging in the cave, a dripping sound came from the little room and soon some foot steps could be heard. Filled by the hopes of a savior entering the room she managed to climb a little closer to the entrance, fighting her way towards the room, crawling like a worm. Soon the footsteps stopped and a shadow was cast from inside the room and into the room where Casandra was laying. Casandra stopped for a second and began listening closely, she could hear sniffing and light growling coming from the room, as she recognized the sounds of the being in the door, she felt how her heart stopped beating for a moment and how a deep terror grew inside of her, feeling her body pumping and shivering with fear. A few moments later and a claw reached around the door frame and a large growling Gnoll entered the room, holding an human arm in its other hand. The Gnoll just stood there, glaring and sniffing around the room. As it stands there it slowly moves its right arm up, reaching the human arm up in front of its mouth planting a few bite on the arm, shattering the bones inside it. Casandra laying there watching this humanoid in silence as the fear has paralyzed every action of her body.

Suddenly the Gnoll throws itself down on all fours, dropping its lunch on the way down as it begins to cough loudly and suddenly a object leaves the Gnoll's throat and lands on the floor in front of Casandra. Casandra's eyes quickly catches the movement of the object and peers at it as it lays on the floor, soon she realizes what the object is and she feels a tear running down her cheek. It was her mother's pendant, the one which her father had given her mother as a sign of their marriage as he could not afford a ring. Casandra's eyes drove from the pendant back up at where the Gnoll was standing, only to discover that it was gone. Driving her eyes around, peering around in the room in hopes of getting to see the beast, but didn't see anything in the day and let out a faint sigh of relief, hoping that the Gnoll had moved along. But just as she had started to relax she felt a warm breathing on her back. Frozen in fear she just closed her eyes and started to pray as her mother had taught her. The big Gnoll sniffed her back and her hair, lightly growling as it progressed up to inhale the scent of its next meal. But suddenly a large bump was heard from the back of room, as a Gnoll was thrown through the room. The Gnoll behind Casandra's back quickly rose from behind her and watched its kin being thrown into the room, landing dead on the floor. More reaction was not given before a tall person entered the room, staring right at the Gnoll. The Gnoll soon rushed itself into battle, but only to be cut to shreds by the strange person in the room. Casandra turned herself a bit and looked up at the person, too scared to say anything, opening her mouth in hopes of a word being summoned but without luck, as all her hopes had been given up she fainted once again. A few days later she woke up in a unfamiliar room. A kind of small room, with only a bed in it. She sat up in the bed and noticed that all her hair had been cut off, only leaving a short male-like haircut. Folding her legs tightly up against her chest, she began to cry. Feeling all hopes of seeing her family again had vanished.

A few hours went by as she was sitting there in the bed, too scared to even dare thinking of getting out of bed. The door opened suddenly and in stepped a tall human male. The man looked at Casandra and shook his head and threw her mother's pendant towards her. "I feel sorry for you kid, whatever your name is, but I promise I will take care of you from now on." Said the man with a friendly smile. A day later she decided to come out of the room. When she opened the door she stepped out in the middle of a camp, full of tents and equipment. Soon she noticed a man in the background. It was the same man that had been speaking to her the day before. Suddenly he started to move closer to her and she got a good look at him.

The man who had spoken to her turned out to be a part of a group of mercenaries. "Oi! Little girl!" yelled the man, Casandra quickly turned around and saw the man, first time actually being able to see what he looked like. He was a tall and muscular man. He did not seem to be from around this land, he had a bit lighter skin and was taller than an average man. He had many scars on his chest and one that crosses his face from his right cheekbone to the bottom of his chin. "What's your name? Now that you are finally out of bed I would like to hear what your name is." Casandra looked at the man and answered in a stuttering voice. "C-cansandra.. M-m-mandevile.. Sir.." The man laughed out loudly and a few men behind him laughed along. "Well Casandra, I'm Olaf! I've paid for your food and made sure you survived, now come over here!" the man yelled, sounding serious. Casandra slowly walked towards Olaf, watching his every move and noticed a few man arrive from behind him. Suddenly Olaf drew a sword and threw it over to her. "Pick it up! I hope that saving your life was worth all the struggle!" He watched her closely. Casandra picked up the sword, but nearly dropped it because of the weight. Grabbing a tight hold upon the sword with her hands. "Bravo! You can lift it, now can you swing it?" Olaf yelled to her. Casandra watched Olaf and the men as they spread out and placed themselves around her in a circle. She made a swing with the sword, but lost control of the sword halfway and the sword hit the ground, carving itself into the dirt. "Well, you can swing it alright. But get it out of the ground and swing it again!" Olaf yelled followed by a hearty chuckle.

Over the next few years Cansandra had not only learned how to handle a sword, but all sorts of weapons, even rifles. "Cas! Get over here!" Olaf yelled from inside his tent. Casandra rushes back towards Olaf's tent. "What is it? What do you need?" she asked as she entered the tent. "Go get an two-hander by the blacksmith and come back here. I'm gonna make sure you survive your first battle!" he said. Casandra widens her eyes. "A battle? You mean I actually get to stand by your side this time?" she replied, sounding quiet excited. Olaf nodded and waved his hand. "Now get that sword!" he replied, watching her run down between the tents, with a smile on his lips. When she had gotten the two-handed sword from the blacksmith and was heading back towards Olaf's tent she suddenly felt a strong pain in her stomach and dropped to the ground, folding her arms around her stomach. She slowly let go on her stomach and suppressed the pain in her stomach and stood up, continuing on her path back to Olaf's tent with the two-handed sword over her shoulder, taking small steps while sobbing lightly from the searing pain in her stomach. Olaf watched her and asked. "What's wrong Cas? You seem like you are in pain?" Casandra quickly looked up at him. "I suddenly got this searing pain in my stomach and it wont go away." she replied stuttering lightly. Olaf grinning and let out a faint sigh as he whispered to himself. "I knew this day would come.." He then stood up and looked at her. "If you want to sit down and relax you can do that and we skip training for today, and of course you're not coming tomorrow.. Or you could show me that you are capable of calling yourself a mercenary!" He yelled while staring into her eyes. Casandra looked into his eyes and stood back up, with a straight back. Ignoring the pain the best she could as she answered him. "I am a mercenary!".

After a few years, Casandra found herself standing on a hilltop looking out over the shore of The Barrens, with a big claymore in her hands, in attack position, making blow after blow into the air. Sweat dripping from her chin as she has been doing this for hours. Casandra soon takes a deep breath and places the claymore in the sandy ground, and takes off her wristbands and drops them on the ground, which is mainly leather and some small ignots of steal sewed inside small pouches.(Weighting 5.5 lbs. each.) She then sits down in a kneeling position and just looks out over the sea, letting her mind lose. After a few minutes she hears an loud explosion, she quickly turns around and see smoke arise from the camp area nearby. Casandra grabs her claymore and rushes back towards the camp, only to see people running around and getting chopped down by Orcs. She just stands there for a moment before she quickly turns around and rushes away, getting her wristbands and her small bag with food along with her as she turns towards her horse, grabs onto it and rides away. Crying as she disappeared into the wilds of The Barrens. Soon after she reaches Ratchet and leaves her horse behind as payment for a boat trip to Booty Bay. Casandra places herself down in the buttom of the ship along with all the luggage from the remaining crew and passengers. Sobbing lightly over the thought that she could have helped her friends and family back at the camp. She then closes her eyes tightly together. "I swear on the dead bodies of my friends and family that I will never let anybody down!" Whisper with a voice ruined by grief and anger.

A year later Casandra sits on her birthday lonely on a hillside in Stranglethorn Vale, looking out over the sea. Holding her mother's pendant in her hand, while digging a little hole with her other hand. "I will give you a proper burial mom." she said as she laid the pendant into the grave and covered the hole with soil. Seemingly careless, but a single tears runs down her chin as she stands up and gives a last glance of the horrizon before making her way towards Duskwood.
