Personality

Alignment: Chaotic neutral

Carana is rather laid back and most of the time indifferent and uncaring of what happens around her. However, when it comes to combat and action, she can get very aggressive, and enjoys the feeling of her fist in someone's face. She is much one to prefer a bare-knuckle brawl over weapons, though she definitely will carry them around to add to the intimidation.

She enjoys the company of friends and can be protective of them at times, though only if they seem to need protection. Carana can recognize when someone is tough enough and respects them enough to let them handle their own problems. She gets along well with some races like orcs, and trolls, she's also indifferent about most of the races, though she has a particular dislike towards humans and elves.

As far as her family goes, the orc sees her father as somewhat of a failure, and her mother as someone who betrayed her. Because of this she does not reveal much about her past, her family, or even her own identity. The only thing to her history she will acknowledge are significant racial events, such as internment.

She has one weakness and it is food. Carana will go through a lot of trouble for a good meal.

History

Carana was born in internment to a grunt who eight months prior gave pity sex towards a peon. She was born premature, and was even a bit of a runt. The human doctor who assisted in delivering the baby Carana made the prediction that she would not survive, though fortunately that prediction was false. She had survived and stayed close to her parents as a toddler, and the two managed to keep her well-fed and healthy.

While in internment she took a liking towards building, especially since she heard that her father was a builder as well. There wasn't much to work with, but the young orc loved taking a bunch of rocks and building forts and walls out of it. The other orcs who saw her called her Rockstacker for the behavior, and the title stuck.

When the orcs were freed from internment, her mother assisted in the fighting. It was the lethargy that kept the family together, and after she had gotten the taste of action and adrenaline, her mother no longer wanted to settle with having a weak mate and a weak child. Since her mother had entered combat, Carana had never seen her again. During the travel across the ocean to Kalimdor, she had stayed with her father, who worked as a peon, and helped build Orgrimmar. It was there that he settled back in with his daughter, and they lived a rather poor life.

Growing up from then on Carana was almost always starving, and had to resort to stealing to get more food. She was greedy, however, and preferred to take more than she needed and indulge when she could. There was a pleasure to having a full meal, and it was only on one occasion she had been caught, and reprimanded for theft. Fortunately this was when she was but a small urchin, so the most punishment she had gotten out of stealing was a smacked bottom.

The compulsive stealing would go on for a year or so, until a troll spotted her in the act one day. He had threatened to reveal her after, and blackmailed the young orc into doing his bidding. He took her in as a trainee, showing her how to be a rogue, and prepping her up for the cartel he worked for. The only reason why she stayed with him so long was because of the action, and the fact that he managed to feed her enough. He promised her that she would live a much more comfortable and affordable life in the cartel, and she bought it.

The time came when she was an adult and had enough training to make it in. It was then that the troll brought her to Booty Bay, where she signed her life away to banditry and general thuggery. For the occasion he also had gotten her a wolf pup named Kota, jokingly noting how it was a runt like her, and one day she'd be able to ride it.

Carana was told to keep her identity a secret while she was working as a bandit. She didn't want a bad reputation to spill over into Orgrimmar. At first she wondered if it even mattered, but decided to heed to her master's advice. And so, she called herself Kech, changed up her hair a bit, and had gotten some piercings and different clothes to change her general appearance. Not many knew her anyways.

She had kept to herself for most of the time while being a bandit, though eventually she formed a few relationships that were beneficial. Having friends ended up being rather enjoyable, and she had come to prefer time spent in the arena than time spent ambushing those on the roads. One of those friends, Hawk, even offered her shelter and food, and for awhile she stayed with him. The foreman watching over her was displeased at the slacking, however, and she was soon kidnapped out of Hawk's home and forced to work overtime.

It was exhausting and dull having to work so much. She didn't know how to get out of this, especially while under contract to the cartel. Carana was desperate, and thought that perhaps if she was rendered useless they wouldn't want to keep her as a bandit. Her solution was to maim herself by sticking an arm in the crocolisk cage. Needless to say she wouldn't be the same.

Fortunately her master was willing to stick up to her and say this was an accident. Seeing how she had only one arm, which seemed to impact her ability to sneak around and fight, she was seen as more of a liability, even useless for the purpose of ambushing. She wouldn't even have the dexterity to pickpocket, so instead of keeping her around she was given a “retirement” package of fifty copper and thrown out of the cartel. It was then that Carana was free, but at a very high price. She would still be a fighter, but things would never be the same.
