Personality

Alignment: Lawful Good

Calleda is often stern and disciplined, yet also reclusive. Commonly the worst offenses are those which are vulgar, especially when directed to her. In addition, she expects many to be strong, in body, soul, and mind. When she voices her displeasure it is often in a calm demeanor, though her voice is harsh and at times she will give a quick, offensive jolt before returning to her stance. As she is somewhat reclusive she tends to avoid answering questions about her personal self and usually not because she has something to hide. She merely deems the information unnecessary. All in all a person may find her to be rather unapproachable, and perhaps they are right as she is selective even with who she affiliates with.

Though she used to view all other races as lesser, and the Alliance as hated enemies, she has evolved past that opinion after a moment of redemption. She may not be completely comfortable affiliating with them but she no longer wishes there to be any conflict. The evils of the Scourge, the Burning Legion, and other factions concerns her much more heavily than the war with the Alliance. Even with this shift of opinion, Calleda prefers to work alone, perhaps even more-so than before. She will only travel for extended periods of time with her old friends.

Finally, she believes that people's talents and skills should always be put into full use. While she used to be the epitome of outward arrogance, Calleda has dialed herself to a more humble state. She is confident in her abilities, perhaps too much so, when it comes to fighting the enemies of the Light. She no longer partakes in duels unless for the sake of training, as she has become too accustomed to fighting with lethal efficiency.

History

At the time of her birth there was a trade of life and death; she was born and her mother Ayania had passed away from the complications of child-birth. It is a curse that has weighed on her and a reason for chaos in her father's mind. Born as part of the Skyweaver family she also had a brother, though at the time of his mother's passing he did not understand her death. To her delight she was not scorned later on when she discussed the incident with her brother. Still her father Syzian, though he did not abandon her, also tended to not communicate with her often. Instead he often kept to his arcane studies, which he would begin to share with her brother Liondrian later on. On the other hand the girl would pursue the life of a socialite, though she was always too shy to develop any close friendships.

When the invasion of the Scourge came to Silvermoon City she found herself distressed and helpless without any form of training. In the midst of the chaos she had been able to find her father alone, already performing a ritual to teleport himself away from death. She cried out to him for help but apparently her pleas were unheard; the man continued his spell and disappeared, leaving her behind without a glimpse. As far as Calleda knew her father had left her to die, and she grasped the reason why he would quickly. In reality he had concentrated far too much on his spell, perhaps blocking out the sounds of death to ease his mind. Without help Calleda would not have survived, and so the one who did guard her was none other than her brother, Liondrian, now a spell-breaker. When he secured her out of harms way he decided to leave her himself to fight once more, not bending to his sister's begging. In the end her anxiety proved to be well placed as her brother died later on while fighting off the genocide of their people.

During the recovery state of her people Calleda demanded to be taught how to fight. Most refused to grant any long term training, rationalizing that there was too much work to be done. She was finally able to convince an old friend of her brother's, using that connection as leverage. Though she learned the basics of battle she was unable to be taught how to fully manipulate the arcane as her teacher rushed off to the Outlands with Kael'thas after the betrayal of the Alliance. Humanity's treatment of her people pestered her to no end, and though she herself was never harmed directly by their actions, she still loathes them, even more than the Scourge at times, reason being that the Scourge is comprised of mostly minions without a mind; the humans chose this treatment freely in her eyes, which are quite rigid.

When the formation of the Blood Knights came about Calleda rushed forward, seeing it as an opportunity to resume her training as a soldier. She was assigned to a master named Lastira Dawnraven. Through thick and thin Calleda learned how to bend the Light to her own whim, which was to serve the advancement of the Blood Elves and to smite her people's enemies. Along the way she began to trust her master, becoming attached to her as the closest person in her entire life. With her help she was able to cope with the loss of her mother and brother, no longer blaming herself for her mother's death and no longer feeling abandoned by her brother as well. This relationship would develop further when her master's thoughts about her were discussed. Astonished by this, she promptly fled to solitude. However she contemplated on her own emotions as well, realizing that she felt exactly the same way subconsciously. Though reluctant to admit it and commit with another woman at first, through persuasion she was able to forgo her discomfort and eventually marry her mentor, taking the surname Dawnraven.

She was in complete shock when the captured Naa'ru was stolen by their leader. It left her completely dismayed that could have even happened. But even more was Lady Liadrin's oath to join the Shattered Sun Offensive, which was entirely controversial to Calleda. The surprises did not end when she discovered that the Blood Knights had never truly been completely manipulating the Light to their whim. Nonetheless her loyalty commanded that she work alongside the draenei, and eventually she started to develop a sort of tolerance for them. Though she still considered them enemies she finds that they are at least worthier of life than the rest of the Alliance races. And her efforts seemed to be well worth it when the Sunwell was restored. Still, a change occurred in her: Calleda added to her belief of the progression of her people. Not only did her people's enemies have to fall but they also had to be purified, such as the remaining followers of the traitor prince Kael'thas.

When the Scourge restarted its invasion on Azeroth Calleda enthusiastically fought off the oncoming undead hordes alongside her spouse. Soon however the Alliance and the Horde called to invade Northrend to fight the Scourge at its source. Though she felt that they were not ready to rush forward to Northrend she complied out of loyalty. As the battles raged on in the foreign land she became discouraged, believing her talents should be focused back at home. When she pulled herself out of the land of the Scourge her fiance remained there, and so spouses cannot always stand beside one another. From letter writing they arranged a time to meet once more, and unfortunately for Calleda in the time between her leaving Azeroth and arriving at Northrend her wife had perished in combat, with no survivors to tell the tale or to even report her death. And so, without this information, she waited at the camp in patiently waiting.

When she saw her lover's armor she assumed that it was her. She approached her in glee, lifted the stranger's mask, and planted a kiss. When she opened her eyes, she realized it was someone completely different. The armor was definitely her fiance's; this stranger had taken it from her body. Furious, Calleda challenged the stranger to a fight. When she landed a critical wound to her opponent's stomach the duel had been called off. She sailed away from the continent, still enraged and falling further from the Light.

Calleda continued to "lead" her band of Blood Knights, known as the Crimson Templar. There were no official rankings between them all; they were all simply companions. The group went on miniature crusades of their own, such as hunting down demons and slaying them. She tried to contain her hatred but it would leak on occasion in the forms of self-doubt. Eventually, she would host a tournament between her companions. Ironically enough, the woman she had dueled in Northrend had successfully concealed her identity and had been a part of the Crimson Templar for some time. It was revealed to her that in that duel she had ravaged her opponent's ovaries, disabling her from achieving her goal of raising a child. Calleda showed no sympathy and threatened to kill her. In protest, one of her companion's Arlyn challenged her to a duel. In the ensuing fight, Calleda's sword was shattered. Before the killing blow was landed however, Arlyn offered her hand as a sign of redemption. Calleda accepted her offer and vowed to truly follow the Light.

After that, Calleda decided to venture away from her group as part of a quest for atonement. She sailed back to Northrend, hoping to make up for her past failures. She battled the undead by herself, sometimes riding in to help another force mid-battle, whether they be Alliance or Horde. For the time-being, she abandoned her own identity and went by a title, the Hallowed Rider, assigned by the stories told about her. She would always ride off being she could be congratulated or apprehended. Her fortune would not last, however. When she rode into a skirmish alongside the Argent Crusade, she was pulled from her horse by a Death Knight still loyal to the Scourge. In the ensuing duel, her opponent was able to outmaneuver her and deal a slicing blow to her right hamstring. She collapsed to the ground due to the pain, though she was saved from impending death by the forces she was supposed to aide.

The group would take her in and heal her wound. When they requested that she join them, Calleda remained reluctant and refused to give an answer. However, by the time she recuperated, she had seen enough to realize that this was the correct group to follow. They had transcended differences between races in order to cooperate against evil. She joined them and continued to fight against the Scourge alongside her new compatriots, further strengthening her resolve in the Light.

After the Shattering, Calleda decided it was time for her to return home. She feared for her friends and also for her people. She bid farewell to her comrades up in the North and sailed back, hoping to help grow her homeland after completing her quest for redemption.
