Appearance

Something akin to dark cloth mummification wrappings on the lowest layer, then a very large and flowing, very old gossamer robe with numerous veils and coverings thrown about her gaunt, dried out old frame. There are several carved-bone charms and idols and other personal effects of such a ghastly sort, with various, unrecognizable, unholy symbols inscribed upon all of them. Occasionally she carries a large staff, which, incidentally is also made of bones and carved with various strange symbols, as well as the occasional charm or dead rat hung from the crescent moon idol on top. All in all, she's a classic undead hermit witch-looking sort.

Personality

Bordois is a rather disturbed old woman, even for a forsaken. She's a true-blue crazy creeper. She's always got a smile on her face and loves doing what she can to make people uncomfortable or confused, or bewildered, or curious. However, she spends most of her time alone in a cave or self-dug hiding-hole away from all these creatures. (Except for her arthropod friends. Note: She is particularly fond of spiders.) On rare occasion she does go out prowling the dark forests of Tirisfal glades in search of some form of new entertainment, which she usually finds quite easily. When she interacts with the other forsaken that she may find in these forests, she is usually quite serious and solemn, seeking only business or something of relative importance. However when it comes to the living, she never takes them seriously. She sees them as her play-things and her favorite game is driving them nuts.

For the most part she takes the approach of appearing as a babbling madwoman, but she will also spend countless hours talking to people about totally made up stories of her past or the past of other in attempt to observe the effect it has on the person's emotions, or their view of philosophy or morality or psychology, or something of the sort. She may spend days trying to befriend them just to watch their reactions when she betrays or kidnaps them at a later date. When she is done with her mind games she may take to torturing them with various forms of shadow magic until they are as wildly disturbed as she is. Although lately, she has been having questioning thoughts about her loneliness. She has grown a bit tired of having no one to share her jokes with, and has been passively scanning for a possible apprentice.

All in all Bordois is just out to play with her bug friends, drive people crazy, and have a good laugh in her nasty un-life.

Other: For some reason she prefers to crawl about on the ground akin to a geist, for the most part of the time. When she does stand, she is usually holding her staff and has a major hunch.

History

In life, was the only daughter of a poor farmer. She was a very curious little girl with a very weird philosophy on life that seemed to change by the hour. She spent all her free time exploring the many hidden recesses of the forest that surrounded the farmstead. She took to things like collecting insects and digging holes and other weird hobbies while other children played away from her. This worried her very overprotective father. He did the best he could to keep her in the house doing chores like a proper lady should in their place and time. It was a constant battle between her and her father. She always wanted to have fun outside, but he wanted her to learn to become a proper lady so that one day she might be married to some rich man in the city.

As she grew older she became much more docile and took to staying inside doing chores as her father wanted her to. She was happy, but only because she was making her father happy. She still longed to explore the countryside and go out to see the world and it's many wonders. When she finally came of age her father did the best he could to get her married, but repeatedly failed to find a suitable family that would actually take her in. Though she didn't let her father know it, Bordois was feeling pretty good about that. Finally she came of age when it seemed to old for her to marry and her father decided to give up on the whole idea. He was going to allow Bordois to move to the city and get a job as a servant girl or such. Bordois was pretty excited about this. She thought the city life would be a great new experience for her. It was maybe a month before she was to leave when the plague came.

She was the first to go. Her father did the best he could to nurse her back to health but failed in the end due to a severe lack of medical expertise. When he buried her the day after death, he was scared shitless to see her climbing right back out of the grave as he filled it in. She took advantage of this moment to take a big bite out of his jugular and throw him into the hole she had just climbed out of. She took her first few tentative steps as a freshly raised zombie, before tearing into a sprint and bounding happily into the forest before her.

She spent the next several years terrorizing the countryside and doing what scourge do best, before she finally broke free of the lich kings control along with the other forsaken. She spent quite some time afterward wandering the forests with no idea nor care pertaining to who she was, where she was, or how she got there. It was during this time that she took the name of Bordois for herself. Eventually she wandered into Deathknell and was picked up by the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow as a new recruit. She was instructed to study and obey all laws of the cult but quickly developed ideas of her own. During her years as a corpse she had completely forgotten everything about her past life and reverted to the strange behaviors and disturbed state of mind so predominant in her childhood. She learned much from the priests of shadow about the nature of the mind and soul. She even learned to use her own dark spirit to defend herself from the light and reach out to other minds to attack them with shadows, and other magics of such sorts. She very much enjoyed her study and the teachings of the shadow, but did not follow them blindly.

She took the philosophies of the Cult and mingled them with her own. She would spend much of her time alone in the forests and quiet areas surrounding the town, deep thought about these disturbing ideas. It was during one of these meditations that she decided conventional priestly life wasn't right for her. She left her teachers in the church and went to the woods east of Deathknell, living alone as a hermit, continuing to develop her power in shadow magic and harassing visitors and travelers with her weird behaviors and philosophies. She can be found prowling along the many dark hidey-holes of Lordaeron even to this day.
