"Forsaken are not heretics. Forsaken were killed, enslaved, unhallowed. They lost their humanity. And you expect them to give up to their homelands? You want heretics, go slay those fel-licking Orcs. Forsaken are in need of a beacon." Belinda on Forsaken and Orcs.

"In sorrow I was brought to holiness. I know who I serve...They only collect tolls for Allied use...I would not let my feelings abused so easily. I am, after all, mature." Explanations on Belinda's strange employeers.

Personality

The path to Stormwind is a long one...

Belinda is best known as a “goody two shoes”. A holy priest devoted to her people and her new homelands of Theramore, she shows much (too much?) compassion and devotion to her people. Kind and caring, she is quite naïve, albeit she does show a cunning side – for Belinda is actively working for an expansion of the Alliance and of the faith of the Light into Horde territory, alongside her healing duties.

Alignment: Neutral/Good

History

Raging Worlds

Belinda is born in a small town, now forgotten, in the province of Lordaeron. War was raging in the southern lands, and Belinda's parents were deeply concerned noble people who feared a worse outcome for the Second War. And so her early years were spent in a relative peace, yet troubled by the occasional alarms and fears of her parents. They were rather over-protective, to be sure, and little Belinda would not be allowed outside of her small countryside house; and while she did have friends, she never genuinely spoke to them much, nor did she socialize much. She grew shy and fearful of the world.

With the Second War over, Stormwind became the new focus of human civilization. Lordaeron was slowly, but steadily deteriorating, and Belinda's loving parents felt the change. Certainly not the betrayal, but simply that Stormwind became a haven for wise and insightful placements and investments. And so the small family moved up to Stormwind, deep in the Old Town, which was at that time the richest district.

Her parents had utter control upon her; and while she was not specifically meek and would defend herself when necessary, she bore her guardians a deep respect and their heeds never went unheard. As Belinda turned 16, all shy and rather naïve, her parents decided that, with trouble brewing in their homelands, she would follow the Way of the Light. Not the battle light of the Paladin, but the pure preachings and the holy healing of the Priests. Furthermore, they did not believe in this so-called “medicine” that was quite the trend at that time in the city. And lastly, it was noble to serve the Light and its people, and therefore more fit to Belinda than any other job would have.

And Belinda, respectful, obeyed and her heart full of love and deluded hopes, therefore began to train. She spent years learning the Ways of the Light – the three pillars, how to create and cast Light, and how to properly behave. The training lasted seven years.

In Sorrow, brought to Holiness

A much more extrovert Belinda - with one of the few people she could love.

Seven years aren't much, but by the time the newborn priest turned 23, the Third War, unexpected conclusion of the Fall of Lordaeron – amongst other kingdoms – the state of the world worsened and eight years of Scourge domination would continue. Besides, her parents were older and older. Her father died of a heart failure after a few months/ Belinda stayed by her grieving, and much younger mother, tried to mend her – but her mournful weepings got the best of her. Despite spiteful healing, she would not feed, and eventually came to die out of starvation and sorrow. Belinda hardly felt it – this year was indeed doomed.

The fall of Lordaeron, finally, to the Forsaken and the tales she heard of people who were once her friends, neighbors, or simply fellow citizens, decided her. With the blessings of the local head priest, she would vow an oath – more, a promise – to bring her new feelings and insights to the greater good. She believed the newly built Theramore to be a beacon of Light, where mankind would rebirth, away from the cursed and troll-ridden Eastern Kingdoms; and freed of all bonds, with a few robes, gold coins (hardly earned), and her faith, she embarked on a boat to the fortress city.

And so for the last five years, she has kept on preaching, going to those smaller Allied encampments in Dustwallow March, healing whoever she could find. Her goals, though, were far more than being naively mending broken hearts and bones alike; planning a massive disaster in the Eastern Kingdoms to come very soon – such as a Scourge attack, or a Forsaken strike – she began to plot and raised awareness for various plans. Her aims and hopes are therefore raised towards extending Theramore's boundaries to the Barrens, and nowadays she mainly works to raise funds - unawarely working with toll-collecting brigands - and more awareness for various military strikes, with a wild, and maybe illusive longing to one day enter history, as she puts it, “as the one who drew and anchored mankind to Kalimdor”.
