Personality

Alignment: Neutral Evil

Balias is one of a changeling person. Always changing personality, depending on who is he talking to. To strangers, he never tells his real name, always using a made-up name. To strangers he shows his charming side, the fine noble man. He likes to keep the chat going on, gathering information from the stranger. When Balias gets to know someone he starts melting up and tells more personal things to that specific someone, these personal things may or may not be lies, depending on the trust level towards that person. If Balias gets to trust someone, he tells even more about himself, but won't reveal his real name. As for the loved ones, he rarely lies, but he tries to keep some distance in between himself and the woman, just in case.

The real Balias, however, lies most of the time(No one would've guess, right? ). He never, never reveals his real identity. He tries to get his living by robbing, thieving and assassinating, whichever shows more profit. He tries to avoid face to face contact when he 'uses' his real personality, and usually wears a mask to cover his face. Balias only uses his real personality at night, when no one is watching so there are only a few who know who he truly is.

History

Balias was born to one of the mid-grade families. His mother was a bartender in a local Inn. His father however, was a courier, and was traveling most of the time, because of that. Balias was the first kid in the family, and as the time passed, his parents planned a new kid for the family.

When his little brother was born, Balias was pretty much alone. Everyone in the family were focusing on the younger kid. He had only a few friends, most of them were from a noble family. Balias grew jealous of his friends, because he didn't have gem-watches, and other 'cool' things like that.

One day, one of his friends called him out to do something fun. The kid told him to meet him near the Inn at the Murder row. The kid told Balias his plans and Balias liked the idea. He had enough of being ignored in his family and everywhere.

So they were waiting in the darkness, waiting for a more wealthy Elf to pass by. When one of those higher-grade Elf came around, Balias' friend grabbed the man's attention. At that very moment Balias ran at the man and tore off his purse and a small satchel from the man's hip. He ran away, all the way out of the city, right into the woods. He was hiding there for maybe an hour, waiting for his friend to show up, but he didn't. Balias thought that his friend just went home or something. Balias opened the purse and found quite a few coins, however in the bag he found a few rags and a picture. The picture had a familiar face on it. It was one of his richer friend's mother.

The thought came into Balias' mind. What if the man recognized his friend? He hurried back into the city and searched for his friend. He couldn't find him anywhere. He searched everywhere, except his friend's home. He wasn't brave enough to face his parents, who probably already told about this to his parents aswell. He didn't dare to go home. He was living from the few coins made from the thievery for a few days, but he quickly ran out of them.

He robbed another person...And another...And another. It became a neverending circle. It became his passion. However, after a few years, people started to know him and he knew he'll get into big trouble if they find him. He bought new clothes, got a new haircut and made up a new personality for himself. This allowed him to stay anonym, and still rob people at night. He found the perfect balance between normal life and thievery. He kept doing what he was the best at under the First War aswell, since it didn't really bother him or his 'work'.

After a couple of years, the Second War started and quite a few Elf joined the war. Balias had to think up a new personality, as he saw a great fortune in robbing Humans and the like. That's the time when he came up with the idea of being an Archer. He bought a bow and a few quivers, filled with arrows. He bought some fitting clothes aswell and joined the War. He met new people and got new 'friends'. One of them even started to train him in Archery. Balias started to feel less alone, but it didn't stop him from doing what he enjoyed. He robbed the Human townspeople at night and played the Archer trainee in the morning. He didn't participate too much in the war, except a few times, when he had to join the night-guards to keep everyone safe from the Orcs.

After the war ended, the Elves joined the Alliance. Quite some years pasted and Balias gathered more and more friends around him with his made-up personalities. Sadly, after these calm times came a new, less fortunate time.

Arthas led the Scourge into the lands and the city. Balias, not being much of a fighter type himself, hid with the children and women. This time, Balias stopped robbing people, and saw no reason to rob anyone near him. They had nothing valuable except their lives. When the madness ended, they found the city in ruins and found out that the Sunwell was destroyed, which led the Elves to magic withdrawal. He started robbing again and from now on, he was hunting for Mana crystals, so he could ease his hunger for magic.

However, these times only existed for a year, because Kael'thas and his army returned from Outland. They were different. Their eyes were green. It turned out that they absorbed the fel to ease their hunger for magic. They taught every Elf to do so, turning their eyes to green. From that time, they called themselves as Blood Elves and they split from the Alliance.

With the help of the Magisters, they rebuilt the city, returning Silvermoon -to some extent- to it's formal glory and joined the Horde. Few years passed and the Shattered Sun assaulted the Plateau and fought Kil'jaden back. They cleansed the Sunwell, giving an end to the sufferings from magic withdrawal.

However, Balias became addicted to the fel, and started consuming fel crystals.

To this day, Balias lives a trickster's life, who plays the nice guy at the morning, and earns his profit at the night.
