Personality

Avrana is diligent, always focusing on a task until it is complete. She is a slight perfectionist, and is very careful in anything she does. She has a strong sense of loyalty and duty to the Night Elven people and their lands. And one of her main goals during her time as a Sentinel was to uphold Night Elven laws and end anything that would oppose the Night Elves. Avrana needs things to make sense in her mind, as she is a very logical person. If something doesn't make sense to her, she disregards it as silly and not worth her attention. When something strikes a nerve with her, she tends to have a violent temper; lashing out no matter what the consequences might be. She is distrustful of most races, and hates most of the horde. The only races she feels comfortable around are some Tauren and the Draenei. Avrana is consumed with a need for vengeance against the Burning Legion, since the third war she has become darker, more violent.

Avrana is extremely militaristic. She believes that enough force and willpower will accomplish anything, and if you can't accomplish your goal you're not much more than a failure. Reflecting this, she believes that every soldier has the right to give their life to protect something in the line of duty. These soldiers that make the ultimate sacrifice have gained her ultimate respect. Though she is quite headstrong, she will give things serious thought. Avrana believes that you have to earn her respect, no matter what status you have, just as she has to earn yours. Avrana lives by one rule: "give all you have to become all that you can." This rule is what drives her foreword. Though she is quite old compared to other races, she doesn't act like one might expect. She has some wisdom, but doesn't show it. If asked why she doesn't act wise she'd probably respond with something like: "My years have made me more tired than wise."

History

Avrana was born in the forests of Ashenvale before the sundering, and her sister about three hundred years after. As a child she didn't speak too much, and even her parents thought she was mute for a time. She was trained in the ways of combat by her mother, whom she greatly admired. It wasn't too long after she had finished growing that her she joined the Sentinels. Her combat skills were to be put to the ultimate test when Lady Azshara caused the events of the Sundering. She fought the demons to the best of her abilities, and gained a hatred for the Arcane magic that tore apart her world. Not only did she gain a hatred for demons, but a fear of them as well. She knew that if they ever came back, for any reason at all, the consequences would be immense. After a new Well of Eternity was created by Illidan, and he was caught and imprisoned, Avrana and her sister were left alone in the world; their parents had died in the War of the Ancients. Avrana and her sister went their separate ways for some time. Avrana was carried throughout Ashenvale by her duties as a Sentinel, and her sister was more of a Huntress- keeping to the wild.

Avrana, to avenge her parents, made a pastime out of killing Satyr. Not ambushing an entire pack, she wasn't nearly that strong. She would kill the occasional straggler, or one who wandered too far near her. She made a point out of analyzing her own combat flaws, and constantly practicing until they were minimal. After hundreds of years of perfecting her fighting technique, she still noticed an imperfection. Riding into battle and taking any hit that was thrown at her still injured her, despite her extremely thick plate. So to fix that, she started wearing lighter plate. Of course, these adjustments were made against Satyr, so she will still make mistakes against any other foe. Satyr are just her specialty, so to speak.

Avrana lived a lonely existence until the third war. Demons flooded Ashenvale, and she was called to help in the battle. She was terrified that this would be the end, but with the aid of the other races that had somehow gotten to Kalimdor they were pushed back. It was during this war that she and her sister encountered each other again, but it was short lived. She was slain in the war, along with many others. In the aftermath of the third war, Arvana had elegant blue tattoos put on her torso and chest, similar to the ones her sister had gotten before she died. Arvana had seen them when she tried to bandage her wounds. They weren't exact, but they were close enough. Arvana made a promise to overcome anything that would stand in their people's way, to become stronger, and to live on for her sister.

In more recent years, Arvana has left the Sentinels to pursue her own goals. She has ventured out of Night Elven lands, to see what else there was in the world, but is very wary of most other races. She has become consumed with revenge against demons for taking her family, and Orcs for forcing their way into Ashenvale.
