Personality

Greedy and debauchery addicted, Athileria's outwards personality can easily be defined by the word sinful. A sharp tongued witty and thrill-chasing woman, Athileria displays sin in all its forms alongside an extreme case of hedonism, claiming to own her own harem and constantly dabbling in mind altering substances and alcohol to profane amounts. Always smiling and plotting, Athileria plays both side of the field performing legal and illegal work, blurring the lines of her morality with both tremendous greed and sin and surprising acts of charity and self restraint.

Inwards, Athileria is by far a bad person. A pacifist and a lover of fine art, Athileria frets and shudders just at the thought of the end of life and from that fear stems her hedonism, her desire to live life to its fullest, despite the judgement of society. Her love of arts is a thing more secret to herself, but it is not rare for Athileria to shed a tear from music or a moving picture, or laugh hysterically from a comedic act. Aware of her own greed, Athileria ensures to both make enough to live in a way that can afford her lifestyle and make up for that by donating often and in secret.

Not perfect, nor flawed, Athileria is a fairly balanced woman in her personality with both flaws and virtues.

History

Born to minor nobles in Windrunner Village, Athileria was born a daughter to a father whom had no wishes for a female prodigy and a mother which followed lackey to his every word. A mere week after birth, Athileria was given to adoption in the orphanage, where she would come to grow. The orphanage was not a bad place, but it was riddled with people of troubled pasts and unpromising futures. And that is where Athileria came to grow. Subject of both bullying and mockery, Athileria grew up fairly reserved and well mannered, with very few true friends. From her young age, she learned to appreciate solitude and the beauty of the world around her, alongside the value of knowledge and money. And as time went by, one by one of Athileria's few friends went to adoption, never to return to the orphanage. And so, the young girl was left alone. Time went by in its slow pace and Athileria, whom had grown to be a fine mannered young girl with excellent morality and exceptionally polite behavior, was still alone in the orphanage. Athileria underwent the experience of growing to young adulthood without much event, until her late teen years, where the orphanage was bought for its location by Athileria's true family, unknown to her, and rebuilt for their estate.

Since that day, Athileria was forced out on the streets to fend for herself in the world. To her fortune, Windrunner Village was not lacking in work, and the abandoned orphan soon found herself aiding the village baker. A kindly man of age, who gave Athileria a simple work of helping him within the kitchen and the counter. And for a while, life was pleasant. Athileria made enough money to keep herself afloat and soon moved to live on her own, coming to enjoy art and fine wine. Though in all that time, the destruction of the place she had to call home for a while left its mark and Athileria found herself deeply distrusting and disliking of any nobility. And so, time passed, and Athileria grew. As time went by, the old baker went to his world peacefully, the bakery passed down to his son of age. And Athileria found a new work as she started her own business, a humble and simple book-store. During that time, Athileria learned of the value of money and has come to quite enjoy it. Alongside that, her already grown appraisal of knowledge grew more and more as she used gospel and news to supply her shop in according, to increase her profit in quite a hefty matter. Growing in gospel and whispers, Athileria expanded her social network around Windrunner Village quite largely.

And so, the now grown orphan was happy. And as time went by, Athileria lived life in a good fashion. She ate well, made a decent profit, and even experienced a few loves and romances. Then, the rumors of the strange Green creatures came to the Village... Brushing away the news as idle myths, Athileria was more than surprised when the humans came asking for their helps against the Orcs. Having nothing to donate for the efforts of the Second War, Athileria resumed her peaceful life quite quickly and quite abruptly.

As the ravenous claw of the Scourge swiftly made its cut into Quel'thalas, Athileria was one of the few lucky to have heard of it before time and in a haste, fled the peaceful village a mere few hours before the Scourge plunged its plague filled dagger into its heart. Menacing clouds of black smoke followed her trail all the way as she fled for her life with due haste. Upon reaching to the gates of Silvermoon with hundreds of other refugees fleeing to the city in hopes of a last line of defense. All hope was shattered completely as the gates of Silvermoon tore open and with it, the city was flooded with the undead forces. Fleeing back with the armed forces, Athileria was one of the few fortunate enough to dive into a small pocket of defense and manage to hold the line for the time. The attacks took a deep scarring for Athileria, as the sight of death running rampant in the city was all she could see. The experience has forever frightened her of death, driving her to fear her own and that of others to the most severe of levels.

As time went by and the lines were held, Athileria grew frequently paranoid and distrustful of others. And then, struck the arcane withdrawal. When the Undead Prince corrupted the Sunwell, the effects of the Withdrawal struck Athileria terribly. The now grown woman was stuck in bed for many days, suffering of a maddening fever and spasms of intense agony. As the city was taken back, and the Elves from Outlands returned, Athileria was one of the many to slink to Fel quickly. Stumbling to the outskirts of Silvermoon, starved and deprived, Athileria was charmed by a drug-Lord in the area, whom sold her Fel-crystals in exchange for her body, and she became addicted to both the man and the Fel he offered.

As the small time went by, the relationship Athileria was stuck in grew more and more abusive, the Drug-Lord treating her as property and eventually, tossing her discarded and breaking her heart. Vengeful and furious, Athileria stole a great deal of the Drug Lord's wealth and fled to the city where she used the money to blur her tracks and begin her business as an information Broker. Distrustful and paranoid, it was a slow start, but before much time passed, Athileria had founded herself a small web of contacts and allies which she used to obtain more knowledge and expand her web around Silvermoon. With that, grew her wealth, and her hedonistic tendencies, offering shelter and knowledge to the desperate refugees in exchange for their wealth.

Never holding loyalty to Kael'thas, only to herself and her own survival, Athileria spent most her days of that time in seclusion and delusion, rarely showing herself. Though still, rumors of the Human's betrayal reached the web of the self proclaimed Spider, though it held no real importance to her. When news of the new alliance with the faction called the Horde, consisting of the very Orcs that the Elves helped fight and enslave, Athileria was surprised to say the least, but fascinated with their new allies. And eventually, the Sunwell itself was cleansed, and her dependency of Fel cut. Athileria was more than eager to give up the substance which led her to the relationship she so loathed. Free of Fel, but never of sin, Athileria's web began growing much larger with the expansion of her people's allies and enemies...

And so, the Spider of Silvermoon lays in wait. Spinning her web.

Skills and Abilities

  • Well connected: Athileria's web of contacts and information spreads widely around Silvermoon, and thinly about Azeroth itself. With a bit of work, a tug of her strings, and the desired information is found. Should this involve another player, OOC consent is of course required.
  • Wealth: While not a noble or even a well respected craftswoman of a sort, Athileria found her wealth in the Underworld and in gray works involving her specific skills. While not absurdly rich like the Nobility of Silvermoon, Athileria is financially boasted.

Weaknesses

  • Defenseless: Athileria is not skilled in combat to the most of basic degree and could not hold her own in a fight.
  • Severe pacifist: Athileria is mentally unable to kill another living creature. Even harming is a difficult task which would be resorted to only in the most serious of cases.
