Character Full Name: Asyrra Lunarrune

Character In-Game Name: Asyrra

Nickname(s): Asy, Syrra, every variation of the name.

Association(s): Independent.

Race: Kaldorei [Night Elf]

Class: Lone-Wolf Runemaster (OOC: Hunter)

Skills and Abilities: Asyrra is qualified with the inscription profession as well as runemastery. The many years in the wilds also taught her which plants to use and which to avoid, as well as useful skills such as basic cooking and hunting skills to gather food. She transcribed the skills of first aid into her runemastery, having runes for the curing of both wounds and natural poisons. The needs of travelling alone have helped her refine her skills and runes to those she needs most, as her skin was not limitless.

Age: 9891

Sex: Female

Hair: White

Eyes: Silver

Weight: 270lbs

Height: 7’4”

Usual Garments/Armor: Her choice of clothing is fitting to her nomadic nature. She wears simple cloth leggings with long boots, letting two leathery satchels hang from her sides and carry her equipment. Thin cloth gloves help her work with delicate accuracy, and a thin, loose, cloth vest to avoid any discomfort with less liberate races.

Other: A thin silver crescent necklace decorates her neck. Being in her mid-800s when Nordrassil was planted, she retains the look of a middle-aged Kaldorei. Her body is riddled with several sets of runes, but her face is unmarked.

Alignment: True Neutral

Personality: Asyrra is a peaceful nomad, as quiet as she is peaceful. She has a certain dislike for settlements in general and fortified ones in specific. However, the need for supplies has made it tolerable for short periods of time, and it is not uncommon to see her in one while looking absolutely puzzled. She is tolerant to the grand majority of society, but such excludes those who dabble with fel, be it warlocks, blood elves or orcs, and the other side of the runecasting spectrum, inscribers and namely dark ones. Despite her muscular and war-ready appearance, she would try her best to avoid any combat.

History: Born in the aftermath of the sundering and the Strand of the Ancients, it is difficult to describe Asyrra’s childhood as anything other than a fairly quiet one. It is even more difficult to say Asyrra had any understanding of the war that preceded her birth, as she never found any survivor willing to explain.

Already at youth Asyrra showed great wanderlust, but she knew that the wilds are dangerous for a young unskilled woman like her. After several years of basic physical training and waiting for her to be of age, Asyrra began training to become a sentinel.

However, Asyrra never did pass her training. She excelled in unarmed combat tests but never managed to grasp the art of armed warfare. Seeing she never even became anything in the Kaldorei society, she never passed her rites, making the only marks on her face be the blush of shame.

In her late eight century came the final straw. With the rise of Nordrassil, the now eternally middle-aged woman lost all hope to pass the rites. Such realization, along with the shame and disgrace that accompany it, convinced her it was time to pursue her desires and fulfill her wanderlust.

Leaving the warm embrace of her settlement with what little skill she had proved to be a grave mistake. An assault of a beast sent her fleeing wounded into the heart of the land. Unconscious by blood loss and lying by the river was how an elderly Highborne woman found her. Perhaps her pale skin and mark-free face tricked her into believing it was a Highborne, for that woman took her into her home.

Sheltered and treated to health, confused and uncertain, Asyrra stayed with her protectorates for several decades. The man, an elderly Highborne scribe, taught her some of the world’s history while she was recovering. She showed great curiosity to the world, and greater curiosity to the man’s profession.

At first, he agreed to teach her only the basic concepts of runecasting and revealed to her he is a runemaster. He taught her where to look for runes and how to identify them. He then helped her track the first rune they would use on her and found it in the tracks of a wandering bear. They empowered the rune in both her arms and during the years found more, creating the two sets that decorate her arms. Once she was strong enough to leave, she told them she was a Kaldorei, to remove any and all doubts. They told her they knew, and didn’t mind. “There are other Highborne.” These words would follow her for the remainder of her life.

She was leaving again. It seemed to her that she cannot find home amongst people. However, it did not sadden her. The wilds proved to be as much a home as anywhere else, as long as she learned to be careful. Since that day, eight millennia ago, she wandered Kalimdor. She dubbed herself Lunarrune, to show dedication both to her past and her future.

Asyrra has no great war. She was never thoroughly acquainted with the evils of war so she never learned to profit from waging it. Her strength and speed are to roam the Azerothian wilds and gather more runes and knowledge, rather than for war.

Asyrra cared little for the loss of immortality. She cared little for any major historical event as she thoroughly believed that the runes of nature are eternal and the only thing to concern her.

It was her newfound access to the Eastern Kingdoms that renewed her wanderlust and drove her east, and later on to Northrend. Until this day she wanders the lands and adds new runes to her body, yet none to her face.
