Appearance

Strongly varies on the scene as she usually tries to blend in with the area, she has a formal dress just in case it is ever required to wear one but feels really self-conscious in it. She can be seen wearing cloth, leather and mail equipment but would be absolutely ineffective in plate. Choosing to carry as little as possible, she has modified her saddlebags to allow for a multitude of guns to be taken on her travels. On horse, her preferred weaponry is an typical human long rifle with iron sights on it. (( Think the black rifle available at the OOC vendor! )) A typical long-range firearm with only one shot in the chamber, that has to be reloaded after each fired shot. She uses it in her charges before the fighting has yet to fully erupt, choosing to snipe off enemies in the distance as she rides into battle.

For close-range, she has purchased a more advanced shotgun; A single barrelled pump action shotgun with a chamber that holds eight shells. As she charges closer to her enemies, she switches the long range rifle for the pump action one, allowing her to rapidly alternate between targets and unleash a barrage. The single barrel has less recoil then it's two barrelled counterpart and in tight situation is easier to manoeuvre (at the cost of firepower). It clearly has less range then the long rifle, and it's ammunition is meant to do more wide-spread damage instead of focussing on a single area of the body. The side of the shotgun has six shell carriers, made from leather at the hilt of the shotgun.

Alongside these two rifles, she carries a (gnomish crafted) handgun with chamber in a holster at her left hip. Able to quickly draw and fire it with less time needed then the other two rifles, mainly used as last resort weapon. She takes it with her when on foot, keeping the ammunition for it in a pouch at her right hip. It can fire six rounds before she needs to reload the bullets one by one, and has a tendency of jamming in the chamber. Nonetheless, she knows it will save her life one day and thus keeps it around.

When all else fails, she has a saber which was granted to her the day she began to lead the cavalry division of her house. It is of simple design, with leather as hilt. She has sharpened both sides of it to increase her combat effectiveness, able to use both edges of the weapon. It lacks any other modifications or adjustments apart from that.

Other: Carries another pouch just next to the ammunition pouch which is filled with herbs.

Personality

Alignment: Neutral Good

Ashlynn is determined to do what she believes is right, following her own conscience while trying to avoid laws and regulations that restrict her. She realizes that sometimes she has no other choice then to follow the law, but will subtly try to find loopholes to bend the law to her personal preference. She holds freedom high in her own believes, believing that a person should be able to do as he or she wants to if it aids the world around them in a positive way. Sometimes that means a law has to be crossed, such as a thief stealing bread to feed his own family; Or a Noble who chooses to send only half of the men asked so that the other half may aid in the lands nearby instead.

She acknowledges the need for balance in things however, as too much freedom leads to anarchy which in turn leads to survival of the fittest. She can follow the law, providing the law makes sense and is a 'just' one. If the law makes the people happy and protects them, then she will not fight it; If it is harming her people however, then she's quick to raise her voice and step up for the people.

Ashlynn enjoys helping others in any way she can, be it through sharing some of her wealth or providing equipment or materials. She realizes not everyone is as 'fortunate' as her, and tries to not be dragged into politics or traditions. She longs for a simple, more balanced and equal life instead of being spoiled and having everything she could ever want because it is just not satisfying her. She seeks to provide direct, visual aid by either boosting the local economy by spending more then one usually would; Training farmers to defend themselves, learning people new skills and abilities they can utilize to survive and so forth.

Her passion and strength lies with helping others, lending her voice to those that are voiceless and standing up for them when asked to. The Horde has no place in her 'ideal' world and as such that same passion can turn into fury to stop them from hurting humanity or it's allies. Ever since they destroyed Stormwind and killed several of her family, she's felt a gap in her life and has been unable to give it a place in her heart. They took away who she loved, and they will pay the price.

History

[ Born in year -2, 0 years old.]

Ashlynn Luvelle, born into the Luvelle family of whom most resided in Stormwind, her birth taking place in a summer estate in Gilneas. Close near the richest and wealthiest of the city with her family consisting of nine members. She had three brothers and a sister, with a grandfather and grandmother to top it off. While her grandparents had chosen to stay and reside in Stormwind, her father James had travelled towards Gilneas with Ashlynn's brothers and sister to witness the birth.

Jake was the youngest, only three years older then Ashlynn. Jerod, named after his grandfather was the middle one (14 years) with John being the oldest (18 years older). John and Amy were twins and shared much of their looks.

One big happy family, that had it all; Wealth, power, land and riches. After Ashlynn's birth, James would travel back towards Stormwind with Jake, John and Amy. Tamara, Ashlynn's mother stayed behind with Jerod in Gilneas, along with several servants and guards.

[ Year 0 - 2 ]

Upon the news of Stormwind's destruction and the nearby lands reaching the family, in which both of her Grandparents had been killed along with her father and younger brother, the family would hold their funeral within Gilneas. They would stay for another six years before deeming their travel safe enough, and would return to Stormwind to reclaim their lands. Within Gilneas they had objected to the decision of the Greymane Wall, but had no power within Gilneas to prevent it from happening. Not wishing to leave the Gilneas residence fully unattended, foolishly assuming the shut-down would last perhaps a few weeks at most, they assigned Jerod (now eighteen), to stay behind and oversee the servants and estate there. He would be shut in with Gilneas of which all news halted shortly afterwards, a regrettable decision as they would never hear from him again.

As they reached the rubble of what once was Stormwind by ship, she found John and Amy to be waiting for them. He had taken the tasks of his father upon him and actively helped with Stormwind's rebuilding, providing what remaining men they had after the raid. Amy would marry in the same year, to strengthen their house and raise morale of those that had survived within.

[ Year 12 - 14 ]

Ashlynn had grown up in a protective environment, restricted to the family's lands. Her remaining family had rebuild both the land and military force and had their hands full. As such, most of Ashlynn's education was left to a teacher and most of her struggles aided to by servants; She didn't like it one bit, and felt a great loss in her life.

She grew up into a wilder child, exploring the lands around the estate. Hide and seek was her favorite game and she talked a befriended guard into it whenever she could. She found her bond with John to fade, being pushed around and ignored as he hopelessly tried to replace her father. Something he simply could not do, no matter how hard he tried.

[ Year 14 - 16 ]

Ashlynn had taken it up on herself to become a soldier, believing their lives would be far more interesting then her own. She was spoiled like a princess, treated like a child and kept safe whenever possible. All the attention, rules and regulations began to irritate her more and more and she had frequent fights with her family. She was a rebel teen and protested against everything offered and granted to her, just trying to do the things that made her happy.

One particular night it escalated into a fight in which her brother had smacked her, and despite having screamed and pointed out that he wasn't her father; He had ignored her, and ordered servants to lock her up in her room.

At this point, she began to protest against the rules, etiquette and restrictions vocally. Hoping to be able to do what she wanted for a change, instead of doing what was required and expected. She feared she would end up the same as Amy, who despite having everything, did nothing else but her duty.

[ Year 16 - 18 ]

House Luvelle thrived, only having become bigger and wealthier but the relationships within had changed. Behind the wealthy and seemingly perfect outward appearance of the house, arguments erupted to which they eventually gave in. Ashlynn had stuck to her desire of becoming a soldier and would begin to be trained accordingly, something both John and Tamara did not appreciate.

She refused to marry anyone and in one of her first training days the men had been ordered to go easy on her, treating her like a fragile child. Where others ran twenty laps, she ran two and quickly grew sick of it. She challenged whoever she could to a spar, ordering them to treat her like a real soldier or be dismissed from all service. While not having the real authority to do so, it grasped the attention of some of the younger soldiers and she quickly found herself to be out skilled, resulting in frequent bruises.

Ashlynn got through them without complaining, and in a way enjoyed the pain as it increased her limits. She learned to take and deal with more, learned to fight from horseback and discovered she had a knack for ranged combat. Something she ended up enjoying very much over the years.

[ Year 18 - 20 ]

After two years of training, Ashlynn was send with several of the men on a first mission. She had yet to taste real combat but she deemed herself ready, feeling disappointed when it proved to be just an escort mission. As they travelled from Elwynn into Westfall with a carriage that included the payment for several soldiers stationed there, they were ambushed by the Defias.

The fight quickly escalated and several of the guards were killed till only her and three others were left. Facing the overwhelming odds, the Defias would have killed them all had Ashlynn not offered herself to go with them as captive. Her life in exchange for the three soldiers, offering the Defias not only the pay but also the ability to ransom her back to the house; They accepted.

John had no other choice upon hearing the news to accept to the deal, but as it almost had finished peacefully, he retaliated. In the fight, another guard died to protect Ashlynn where as John would be wounded by a sword. He survived the encounter but would forever be scarred across the chest where as Ashlynn had been kept safe by the guards.

During the travel back home they would talk for a first time since months, restoring some of the broken relationship. She would move out to the second estate so that she would be able to find her way without John directing every move, and for that she would be grateful.

[ Year 29 - 27 ]

Ashlynn had taken it upon herself to practice, to become more proficient with ranged combat and had learned more techniques to defend herself. She had found herself reading books about herbs and healing, travelling further and further to find them. It had been a slow and tedious process at first, mistaking any plant for a useful one; Learning to not be always so impulsive after poisoning herself numerous times. She had learned how to improvise and tend to wounds, being tough yet flexible and in the last five years she had found herself to take on a leading role of the cavalry.

Skills and Abilities

Ashlynn has by trial and error become knowledgeable in the field of herbalism, but it is still very much an experiment whenever she tries to make use of her knowledge. She's build up a small resistance to poison after having poisoned herself several times by taking in small doses of the wrong plants. She can however, very much improvise and survive in the wilderness using the environment to her advantage; from building shelters to hunting for her food.

Alongside that, she's capable of mounted combat specifically with guns. The less strength and skill required makes the gun her preferred weapon over the bow or other weaponry. While she strives to avoid close combat when possible, she has practiced in using a saber in case things don't go her way. She has become knowledgeable on mounted manoeuvres and riding a horse has become second nature for Ashlynn. On foot, she prefers make-shift traps and ambushes rather then face-to-face 'honourable' combat.
