Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: When expecting combat, Ashindra will wear tanned hides for protection. If she cannot find 'hide' armor, she will wear the lightest armor she can find that will allow her to stay mobile. Otherwise she will simply wear whatever is appropriate for the occasion, though she prefers dresses.

Other: Her face and clothing are almost always dirty, streaks of gunpowder smeared across her face. The only time these wouldn't be there is if she expects an occasion where she needs to 'not look like some kind of slob'.

Personality

Prior to the Gnomes fleeing Gnomeregan, Ashindra was a friendly and talkative person. She'd crack jokes, socialize, and generally have a good time. However, the events that passed in her beloved city have caused her to become a much quieter person. She only does things she absolutely needs to do (And even then, she'll most likely just do a 'passable' job). She talks significantly less. And she has become something of a recluse, often not leaving the safety of indoors.

However, Ash is doing her best to improve on these things. She realizes that Gnomeregan essentially 'screwed up her life', and wishes to become at least something similar to what she once was. Thus, she has become an adventurer of sorts and constantly pushes herself to improve.

Should something make Ashindra nervous, she overreacts. Her hands will begin to shake. She'll begin uttering nonsense. And she will start panicking. Once she realizes she is in this state, she will begin trying her best to get out of it. Often this comes down to deep breathing and trying to keep herself still until she gets back to normal again.

History

Born to her mother Trivi Tinkerwidget and her father Palo Protoplane, Ashindra grew up in a respectable family with her brother Marti and her sister Quarzi, both of which were older than her. They would play together, try to one-up each other with the little gadgets they would create, and comfort one another in times of despair. All in all, it was a very tight-knit family that stuck together through the hardest of times . She and her siblings would often travel with their father to the nearby city of Ironforge. And while he did whatever he needed to do whilst there, the three children would often occupy themselves by exploring the vast underground settlement. They would socialize with the Dwarves while there and try to keep themselves from getting bored. It was due to the large amount of time they spent around Dwarves that they eventually decided to pick up on their language by studying books on the language and listening to Dwarves speak. While they never became fluent in the language, they did learn how to speak and understand it.

As time went on, her siblings would grow to acquire names of their own. Marti earned the name 'Solargine' for his advances in the use of solar energy to power machinery. And Quarzi earned the name 'Mechatome' for inventing the automatic page turner. Ashindra, however, never earned a name. This fact greatly frustrated her, and inspired her to achieve something great.

Before she could really do anything amazing, the Trogg invasion of Gnomeregan began. The poor Gnome was driven into a panic during the event, and fled for her life. She cared naught for her family, her friends, she just wanted to live. It was only upon reaching the surface that she realized her selfish ways. Ashindra then proceeded to make the stupid and bold decision of charging back in to find her family. She grasped a rifle that had been discarded on the ground and ran back into the chaos that still carried on within her beloved city.

She spent quite some time in the city surviving on her own, looking for her family. Though she barely had to use her rifle, she took comfort in knowing that she had something that could protect her. And while her search was entirely fruitless, she did feel a sense of accomplishment in gathering the courage to even look for her family. When she eventually came to the logical conclusion that they were all either dead or safe, she began to return to the surface.

It was just as the gates of Gnomeregan came within sight that some strange toxic gas began to fill the air. She sprinted for dear life, coughing on the deadly substance as her legs moved as fast as they could. Despite its toll on her health, Ashindra did manage to survive the gas and return to the surface. She was reunited with her entire family, whom had successfully escaped the deadly fumes. But only moments after meeting her loved ones, the young Gnome collapsed in exhaustion.

She would later awaken in a makeshift-medical clinic, many Gnomes being attended to in the same area as her. And while she managed to leave her sick-bed with no physical hinderances, the events of that day took a serious toll on her mind. Such a toll on her mind that even her family suggested that she take some time to herself to think. Ashindra took their advice to heart.

To this day, Ashindra wanders Azeroth. Searching for something that will make her feel like what she once was again.
