Personality

While her charms do most of the work, she does know a little shadow and healing magic to get what she wants by invoking the power the loa spirits, most specifically Hethiss. At times she can be pretty open about her beliefs. She considers trolls who practice shamanism like the orcs a waste of time, saying that if they joined the Horde to contribute their strength, why would they practice a belief that the orcs already know? With that, she continues up to this day practicing and honing her voodoo magics and honoring the loa. This does not mean he support the Horde with her might. She is an avid patriot and though not part of the regular army, she does everything that he can to make sure the homelands are safe and the young ones are taught the right beliefs.

As a female troll, she is often considered inferior to the male voodoo practicioners of the Darkspear especially from the elders. However, often a traditional brawl of acceptance/dominance or a voodoo competition between the disbeliever and her would clear this up. She views the Forsaken with interest, often looking into their twisted concoctions of plagues and potions. In fact, she reveres the undead, noting their gift to transcend life into undeath. While she finds orc and tauren shaman knowledgeable and a good source of wisdom, she sticks to her dark voodoo beliefs, believing that she is or would be a great asset to the Horde arsenal.

History

Born into a family of voodoo practitioners from witch doctors to shadow priests on the Broken Isles, Arya was born in a society where males were dominant in every way and was allowed to practice voodoo without restriction. Although clearly the eldest of the siblings, her brothers always used this ruling in the society to their advantage. They all learned to practice voodoo magic. While some wanted to be voodoo shadow priests and even some shadow hunters, Arya was left to hunt and fight not being able to follow her dreams and make her family proud. During her growing up years, she learned to hunt and flay the murlocs in the area. Here she secretly offered skins and vital body parts to the loa. While this was not necessarily frowned upon by the society as she was not practicing and was just worshipping, she fervently asked for strength in mind and power so that one day she can wield the dark powers of the loa.

As she grew up, she noticed the murlocs acting stranger and somewhat more organized. There were also trolls in the island who have been disappearing and never to be heard of since. Weeks later, armor-clad green skins arrived on the island on tall wooden galleons. As if in an instant, their home became a warzone, as more wooden galleons arrived bearing pink skins. As chaos ensued, she followed her chief's orders to help out the green-skinned orcs whom he prophesied in a dream. Thus, she befriended an orc who told him all about the orc warchief Thrall and his vision. Seeing liberty and opportunity in the cause of the orcs, along with her tribe they joined him. They pushed back the humans and eventually got out of the sea witch's prison, leaving the island for good.

Although not directly participating in the Battle of Mount Hyjal, Arya helped out by guarding the supply trains going to and from Ashenvale from Barrens beasts. With the defeat of the Burning Legion at Mount Hyjal and the founding of the Nation of Durotar, Arya and her remaining sibling Jenjavi was given a task by the overlords of Orgrimmar. As everyone had to contribute to be a resident of the city, they were tasked that both or either one of them join the armies of the Horde. Arya, wanting to pursue voodoo training with the liberties female trolls recieved when they joined the Horde was halted by Jenjavi. He believed Arya would be a great soldier of the Horde although he himself wanted to join Thrall's army and thus he stopped his elder sister from pursuing her dream.

In a traditional troll duel, the siblings decided to settle family dominance once and for all. The bare-knuckled brawl took place in the Pools of Vision in Thunder Bluff, their temporary home. Although Jenjavi was growing up to be a great warrior, it was her sister's intellect and experience that won the bloody fight between the siblings, a norm in troll society. As if proving Jenjavi's point, Arya readily swept him and defeated him with ease. Thus, deciding what's best for the remnants of the family, she pursued her shadow training while Jenjavi joined the Horde and pursued martial training hoping one day to equal his sister.

Since then, she has been training under the voodoo masters, shadow hunters and witch doctors of the Horde. The arrival of the Scourge in Ratchet disturbed her training and she believes now is the time to make full use of her powers against the enemies of the Horde that has given her dreams and freedom. Her first stop, Thunder Bluff and the dark Pools of Vision.
