Appearance

Armetis is average height for a blood elf and her hair hangs down to her shoulders. Her most notable feature would be her skin, which is almost black. It isn’t rotted but the lack of blood flow has robbed her skin of all pigment, leaving it cold to the touch.

Personality

Armetis’ personality to new people is as cold as her body and she dislikes getting attached to people, believing that friendship and romance should be left to the living. But if someone manages to get in under her shield of chill and distrust, they would find that she is capable of actually having fun. While she may not be a happy, giggly little girl, she enjoys having discussions with people she knows she can trust and duelling to keep her wits sharp and to keep away the rot that comes with inactivity. While she has a burning hatred for those who wronged her, she has no desire to kill anyone who does not deserve it and will always hold herself back in a fight unless she intends to kill her opponent which she will only do if they are evil.

Her opinion of herself has been changed recently due to several people helping her to regain her humanity instead of being a slave to her own death. She will protect those close to her or in need with a fierce passion but still has problems letting others get closer than arm's length.

History

Armetis was born in the elven kingdom of Quel’Thalas to a Farstrider, her mother and a mage, her father. She grew up around combat with her mother always leaving her weapons lying on the kitchen table or spending an evening restringing her bow. Her father would always have his head buried in books so that meant both parents were often too busy for their daughter. Armetis found ways to keep her occupied and often roamed the rooftops of Silvermoon City to fill in time. Despite her wandering, she would often go out and play around with other local children.

She spent her younger years like this until she turned thirty when she decided there was more she wanted to do than just mess around with her friends and do irresponsible things. She went to her mother and asked to be trained like a Farstrider. Her mother agreed and began to train Armetis in the ways of nature, teaching her how to move with the landscape and use the environment to her advantage as well as how to fight with swords, bows, spears and glaives.

Armetis trained her hardest for just under a century but never had a purpose for it besides her own physical fitness until one day, when she was around a hundred and fifty; her mother came to her with an envelope and a grin. Inside the envelope was an invitation for Armetis to be officially inducted in to the Farstriders.

She accepted this with excitement, happy to finally have something important to her. She trained hard and served among the others with pride. She fought during the war against the Amani trolls alongside the humans and elves. Her years of service continued up until the dreaded day during the Third War when the Scourge marched through Quel’Thalas.

There was a village that was being attacked by the scourge and Armetis knew that once they had destroyed the town, the villagers would be turned into Scourge and fight against the elves. She thought that she could save more lives down the track by thinning the enemy by not allowing the Scourge to replenish their ranks so, against the orders of her captain Varanduil, she killed the refugees who were fleeing the carnage.

After the siege of Quel’Thalas was finished and the Sunwell was corrupted, Armetis was found by her captain and tried for the war crime of killing innocent civilians and put to execution. She was outraged and constantly insisted that she was helping Quel’Thalas by thinning the Scourge reinforcements. But her words fell on deaf ears and she was executed by order of Captain Varanduil.

After her death, the cart that was carrying her body to a cemetery was attacked by Scourge remnants along the Dead Scar and her body was taken and eventually made its way into the Lich King’s hands. She woke up a long time later in Acherus as a Death Knight under the Lich King’s command.

She was part of the destruction of the Scarlet Enclave and fought like a killing machine, only being able to feel rage and numbness. During the battle of Light’s Hope Chapel, she regained her free will like the rest of the Ebon Blade but the rage still burnt in her mind. Rage at her unfair execution and she swore to avenge her own murder by killing Varanduil.

Armetis now searches the world trying to find a way to get Varanduil vulnerable and kill him. With the aid of a particular elf, she is slowly beginning to feel emotions other than hatred and is starting to see herself less as a tool of revenge and more of a person in her own right. She recently joined the Argent Crusade in an attempt to find a purpose higher than herself since she has forgotten her revenge and wishes to start her life anew.

This position led her to make several bonds with people she calls her friends and comrades. She cares for her fellow Crusaders and enjoys their company, going so far as to let a few of them become her friends. Through a series of rebuttals and turn away's, Locien, the one who saved her from her grief tried to get close to her romantically. After a long time trying at it and convincing Armetis that she can be more than a husk, she accepted and became lovers with Locien. She spends her time serving with the Crusade and enjoying her existence despite always having doubts inside her of her own worth.
