He wears a set of green plate armour.

Other: He's covered in small boils, spots and warts, due to all the diseases he tends to carry around. The diseases persist because of three reasons; he doesn't really care about personal hygiene, he finds them fascinating and he utilises them as weapons. So his general look is quite off-putting. A slight dementia is also bothering him. And like every Death Knight, he wears a rune weapon of sorts, wich in his case is a green rune sword.

Personality

Arlak is quite tolerable fellow, despite of being nasty, glowing-eyed corpse thing. He finds sicknesses, plagues, diseases, viruses, and everything that's somehow related to being ill fascinating. It's no surprise that he enjoys the company of doctors or the like. Due to his dementia, he may forget some of his possible new friends, and depression occasionally finds itself manifesting in his mind. But if one can look over that, (and his appearance), Arlak can be a warm person and a good friend.

History

Arlak was born and raised in Ironforge, around the Commons, in a rather simple house. His mother, Hrefna, stayed home to look after the house while her husband Jorlov was away, working as a miner. They had two children; Arlak, who was the elder of the two, and Ginna. While Ginna wanted to become one of the guardsmen in Ironforge ever since she saw a few men patrolling outside the house, Arlak wished to become a doctor, or at least an alchemist. He trapped mice and tied them down to a piece of wood, to see how long it would take them to rot, and what kind of diseases would find themselves in the rotting corpse. He also tried to infect the mice with flu, after catching it himself. Of course he did this kind of things in secret, so nobody would think that he's a weirdo.

He never got around to become an apprentice for a doctor or an alchemist, due to his fathers sudden death. Arlak was 32 at the time. Jorlov was working in the mines as usual, but due to faulty supports the mine collapsed. He, among with many others, was killed instantly. Only a handful of folks managed to get out of the mine and find help. Some of the miners still trapped inside managed to find pockets of air, but Jorlov was unlucky enough to get a whole giant piece of rock on top of him.

Arlak had to find work to support his sister and mother, for Hrefna was too old for work and Ginna was too young. As it happened, Ironforge guard was recruiting lots of Dwarves at the time, and thus he ended up in the ranks of the Guards. Or at least that's what he told to his sister. In reality, he was hired to clean the barracks, as he was still underage at the time. It wasn't the job he wanted, but family and clan comes first.

Years later, long after Hrefna had died due to sickness, when Ginna was 54 and Arlak 67, Ginna was finally accepted in the guards. She had been training relentlessly for almost 14 years so she could climb up the ranks quickly due to her experience. Arlak, in the other hand, had found a suitable job as a mercenary. He happened to overhear some folks discussing about their next job, and how they're missing some arms. Arlak offered his help, even thought he hadn't held a sword in his hands ever before. As the fellows were desperate for any help, he was accepted into the group. He would eventually pick up some skills from the more experienced men.

Many years later, Arlak, now the leader of the small mercenary group since his elders had died and he was the most experienced one now, was given an order to aid Alliance in their struggle against the Scourge. He left Ironforge immediately, ordering some of his men to stay and keep in touch with him, so he could know all the time how Ginna was.

At first they were unprepared for the undead they had to fight, but he and the portion of his boys managed to keep themselves alive, even though death had come close several times. It wasn't unbearable until the message of Ginnas death arrived. She had died because of the same illness that claimed their mother. Her death was quite ironic, considering that Arlak had always been so interested in diseases and the sort. But even more ironic was that he would become a Death Knight, one that utilises diseases and plagues of sort to kill innocents. It was because Arlak lost his morale to fight, and henceforth he was an easy kill to the Scourge.

He laid dead in the battlefield for a week and a half, giving his corpse a slightly rotted skin and a sickly look. He was then raised by the Lich King, and became one of his soulless minions, until the battle for Light's Hope Chapel. When he regained his soul and was freed, he stepped into the service of the Ebon Blade among with all the other Death Knights. And like pretty much everyone else, he wanted revenge on the Scourge and the Lich King. He wanted to hand death to them in the same manner death took his mother and sister. Illnesses, plagues and diseases, all were at his command now, at least partially. But something was amiss.. He couldn't recall all the happenings in his former life.

Arlak now suffers from slight dementia, as he's only able to recollect some of the memories from his past. He does remember his sister, but he can't tell where she worked at, for example. Fighting the remaining of the Scourge is his secondary goal, even if he doesn't say it aloud. Recollecting all the lost pieces of his memory is the top goal of his undead life now. The Scourge will wait, he's sure of that..
