Personality

He's a bit gruff, but otherwise kind or at the very least tolerant. As his station permits he is spiritual, very connected to nature and frowns upon the perversion of the lands and sea. He fears water, not going near it unless he's prepared to change his form, but even then he stays far from the water, any kind deeper than his waist line he shies from. He doesn't drink anything strong very often, but when he does, he's often itching for a fight with just about anything. The next morning would see him trying to make up for his nights transgressions.

History

He was a strong child, some would call over confident, he was often getting into trouble with the beasts around the village, receiving a few cuts and bruises like any other child. His mother was from the Mistrunner's, his father Wildmane, the Tribe he grew up with. His father died a warrior, and was raised by his mother in step with his father for a few years until he decided that the way of the warrior wasn't for him, and adopted his mother's ways, learning the ways of the druid. He often watched in awe as his mother performed spells and transformed in front of him. He could see nature's hand in everything after that, realizing there was just that much more than what he'd been taught.

As a young child he was wandering everywhere, getting into trouble with others in his village, or else finding trouble outside the village amongst the beasts. One day his antics nearly got him killed, a large cat managing to pin him to the ground and grasp him around the throat with its massive jaws. Before the cat could completely close its maw, Arkoz' father made much noise, firing arrows in panic and haste to save his son he missed a shot, but that was enough to make the cat run away. He received a scar on his neck from the wounds, but was remembered as Bitten and Survived, shortened to Bitten. Not long after that, his father passed, and then he decided he wanted to learn more of the power of nature.

As he got a bit older, his mother took him with her on a trip to see her Druid teacher, a Night Elf that had come to the Mistrunner's and taken on his mother as his pupil. He gained respect for the Night Elves, and worked to be as powerful as they were, while still respecting the power the earth gave him.

He helped fight in the wars, using his power to assist the orcs, and even the Trolls who he often confuses for orcs because to him it doesn't honestly matter, especially since the Trolls recently stopped their cannibalizing ways.

At first, however, he was very wary, even as some of his brethren accepted these new races, he feared what they would bring to Kalimdor. His fears were all but diminished as he fought along side these warriors and fellow shamans and the like. When the Trolls joined it was a lot harder to begin to tolerate them, seeing a lot of their 'work' disgusted him greatly, but as they abandoned those ways slowly, he was slightly relieved.

The War changed him, though, taking away most of what was left of his innocence and playful joking. He is loyal to the Horde and keeps most of the Alliance at a distance if he can help it, feeling slightly more comfortable among the Night Elves, though he wouldn't be in a room with one alone because of their different loyalties. He greatly dislikes the Blood Elves, finding great contempt for their attitudes and their sense of pride and abuse of fel magics.

Despite his strong dislike of the Sin'dorei, he cannot help but feel affection for his adopted daughter. His nomadic ways had him cross paths with a frightened young female Sin'dorei, and he'd honestly never seen such a downtrodden child with such fear and in such squalor. He assisted Aayla in what he thought were simple chores, then he realized she was a slave, though her master was paying her, it was a pittance. He felt bad for the girl, and stuck up for her, her master was very threatened by the Tauren and agreed to treat her better, though Arkoz could not stay with them. Inside he tried to justify his absence from Aayla as the discomfort from the fel magics within her, but even he knew that as much as he suffered she was under much worse pain, she didn't need to realize how she made him feel with her prolonged presence.

Time passed until they saw each other again, letters being sent between them when they could be sent, an adventure in Ratchet left her master dead, and Arkoz was to take care of her now. They make an odd pair, getting looks from strangers-especially when Aayla calls him ‘Daddy' aloud-, though it doesn't seem to faze them. Aayla is very nervous, very shy, and so Arkoz is always there to protect her and give her guidance because of her very introverted demeanor. There were still times when he struggled with their proximity but he remained strong, knowing he couldn't leave her alone, he has slowly gotten used to the presence of his green-eyed child.

During the time of their separation Arkoz had joined a tribe, promising himself to his new family and then to Hnuuka, a female he met that lived with them as well. They are expecting a child and wish to be married in the tribe.
