Personality

Aris is a proud, stubborn woman, incredibly individualistic and often times unpredictable - she is a hardened, ancient warrior of the Kaldorei and her stance in all things reflects it.

Having spent millenia in her ancient homeland, Aris has little interest in the races beyond it's borders. She has a great respect for Tauren and Draenei, but all others are more likely to be shot on sight rather then helped.

Despite her hard crust, Aris has a very mothering, and nurturing nature seeing several generations of Kaldorei children pass as she helped raised them - likewise, many a beast passed through her hands; whether culling before overpopulation, or preserving and helping to breed before extinction, Aris has likely scooped more poop, and changed more diapers then can possibly be counted.

Aris is a very ascetic woman - she never takes more then she needs, and never takes with more then she can carry in her pockets.

History

Decadence, lavish lifestyle which turned to violence and debauchery.

Indeed it was a life of decadence and lavish. Aris remembers it well enough with a bitter-sweet feeling, as well as the very bitter feeling of a world torn asunder and a near eternal legion of demons pouring into their ancient homeland, not to mention the bloody conflict of Kaldorei between Kaldorei.

In those several short milenia, Aris had her first true taste of pain, loss and misery. As time passed, Kaldorei began anew, and Aris followed - from those ancient times to the most recent days, Aris has become a devout follower of Elune, a reclusive yet nurturing woman with many a kind word for friends and family, and a vigilant yet vengeful Sentinel and servant of Nature.

- War of the Ancients, and the Exile of the Highborne -

Aris learned the hard way, how things can go very badly. As demons poured from the portal Azshara opened, remembers nothing but fear and dread - she was still merely a child facing monstrosities. She didn't really wet her pants, but wasn't far from it. The shock of the world splitting apart, their source of magic destroyed and the demon invasion was something she needed a lot of centuries to recover from. With the Highborne's exile she lost some friends of old - some she still misses, and others she grieves as they didn't die from her own blade but from something completely different.

- War of the Shifting Sands -

A horde of insectoids rise, and the Kaldorei face it - an endless, merciless horde that near brought the elves to their knees until the Aspects intervened.

Those were not good days.

It was in this war, Aris was fairly sure she would meet her end - by now a hardened and experience Sentinel, she left a river of insect corpses in her wake but as each day passed she felt weaker and more fatigued. She began to feel helpless and her morale slowly drained, fading away to nothing, as no matter how many she brought down, they were simply replaced by others.

By the end of the war, Aris had received a deadly wound battling one of the Silithid - she near bled out to her death, saved in time by the reinforcements that came to help the Kaldorei. On her recovery she learned that many of her closest comrades and dearest friends had fallen to the insectoids.

- The Last Years -

The last seven years, Aris was nowhere to be found. She had travelled far and wide to the deepest pits of Feralas and remained there for all this time. The last several milenia were draining for her - she had lost so much and gained so little, that the old sentinel simply wished for some time to herself. She enjoyed the solitude and reflected back on all these years. When she finally returned to Ashenvale, she first returned to her official duty as a Sentinel, and still regularly patrols the forest.
