History

Amura'Quai is the son of Vivalyn Ridaken and Sanguis Sunfire. While traveling, Vivalyn met the young arcanist and the two fell into a passionate relationship. Over the brief span of their affair Vivalyn gave birth to Sanguis' child. They both lived a life that wasn't suitable for child and decided to give the child to Vivalyn's cousin, Amasa. Amasa and her family were different from the devious parents of Amura, their lives were based in the Church following the Light and then to the fields of their farm to raise and tend livestock. As Amura grew he was raised into this lifestyle and knew nothing else of his parents. He received only a necklace from each of their families and was told to seek them out in a few centuries after he harnessed 'honest skills.

Life was hard yet rewarding, he woke up early every day of the week to tend to the multiple animals and the crops of their land. He helped all around the house, sometimes he felt he worked more than his other cousins but he knew why. He also attended Church, and became a very devout follower of the Light. He participated in Church hymns and other practices of worship, before the light answered his call and he became a healer of the sick. His family became jealous of his calling, so his work on the farms never stopped. He didn't mind until he was overwhelmed, but to calm himself he often practiced unorthodox sword play by the barn much to Amasa's dismay.

Decades passed and he found more about his parents. He found out his mother was a respected swordself and his father a scholar, and he wanted to make them proud even without knowing them. Before things got out of hand, Amasa sent him away to become a page. He trained hard although he rubbed most of his instructors the wrong way because of his boastfulness. Due to his own methods of training he often felt the basics were a waste of time. This impulsiveness got him removed from the abbey after he became a squire, even though he was one of the better fighters out of his group.

He returned to the farm discontent with his former life and routine. He wanted more in life and felt he would waste it doing remedial tasks, he decided to cook for his family and pray for them before revealing that it was time he left to go see the world. They understood and gave him a little coin from their savings to get him started. Not a full week later Silvermoon was attacked, the farm he was raised on was destroyed and his family slaughtered. He ran away through the forest before meeting elves evacuating, he left with them to a safe place until the fighting had subsided. Over the following months he struggled with the adaptation of drawing from fel before realizing it was vital to his own survival. With no where to go he joined a church in Silvermoon healing others and uplifting spirits. On his way back to a shelter for refugees he found a young elf and her pet being attacked by remnants of the scourge. Armed with only a wooden sword he raced to her defense but was overtaken with the futile weapon. Luckily he was saved by a blood knight who pointed out his foolishness. Irritated he decided to resume his training with the blade to become as best as he could to defend those who needed help.

Upon his travels of Eversong he came across his Father's half sister. A Noble heiress by the name of Reigen Talah'malanore, she was the Matron of the House of Sunfire. Once the two found out they were related they started to talk more, and despite her being a Death Knight he warmed up to her. She offered to help pay for his training to be a Blood Knight, and offered him a place amongst her House. If he were to accept, he would have to go through the proper training of etiquette. He accepted, despite his distaste for Nobility and their actions towards 'common folk'.

Skills and Abilities

  • Meditation

Following the light, and having a deep connection with the light through meditation allows him to cast spells under duress. He must meditate at least two hours a day for this to be usable in combat.

  • Swordsmanship

Although he only made it to a squire's rank officially, he has incomplete training with the Abbey as well as training alone on the farm. He honed his skills to be decent swordsman, although his impulsiveness and lack of formal complete training make him possible to exploit by veterans.

  • Hand to Hand

He is skilled in hand to hand combat.

  • Farm hand

He knows how to cook, saddle Hawkstriders, take care of livestock and other manual tasks usually lost to those who are better off.
