Personality

Amadaeus is a jerk. He'll lie, cheat, steal, and more or less do all of it without the slightest amount of remorse. He's a scoundrel, and doesn't even care. He enjoys shedding blood, killing things and then taking their possessions as his own. He also enjoys money, plain and simple. The man lives to become rich and powerful, his only real goals, and he has no qualms with killing, stealing, cheating, or any other unscrupulous means to attain that goal.

Amadaeus has already decided that he is damned in the afterlife anyway, and as such, has decided to just continue with his current path, living as much as he can before he dies.

History

Amadaeus was born to a fairly wealthy family, spending the first few years of his life in Stormwind in relative comfort. His parents were rather low, more or less unknown nobles, and they coddled and spoiled the young Amadaeus.

Stormwind, was lost when he was only about five, along with his father and more or less all of his family's wealth. The sudden upheaval darkened the young boy, who began to take on a much more selfish view of the world.

Fleeing to Loraderon with his mother, they began a newer, simpler life, though their landlord for their small, three room shack was simply corrupt, charging them outrageously for the next fourteen or so years of the man's life.

His adolescence was filled with hard, backbreaking work from the moment he was able. The boy would do any odd jobs he could in order to keep their home. Errand running, heavy lifting, and anything that would pay. His mother, working just as hard, rarely had time for him now, and even beatings weren't uncommon, though the boy would never strike his mother back.

At age nineteen, his mother died, leaving him with virtually nothing, and as such, Amadaeus's outlook shifted. No longer held to that dingy shack to keep his mother and himself safe, the hardened, vile young man took to the roads, eventually coming back to Stormwind, intent upon making a profit and dragging himself up from the low he'd fallen to.

He eventually found work as a mercenary, training himself with the basic use of a sword and taking contracts to defend merchants traveling, usually from bandits. Sometimes he would take other jobs as well, never bothered by his own wounds, the fiery young man kept up his lifestyle, delighted by the bloodshed and the wealth he gained from it.

He had recently, however, moved to Ratchet, at least temporarily. There he set up a small business in the Arena before one fateful card game. The wager was a simple one. If the Goblin airship captain won, all of Amadaeus' savings, which at the time amounted to around a thousand gold, or so it seemed. If the human won, however, he would get the ship.

The game, in the end, was rigged, and the now Captain Amadaeus took the ship. What are his intentions now? Only time will tell.
