History

Alystra was born in Ashenvale, into a family of druids. Her father was a druid of the grove, using his restorative powers to heal others in need. Alystra's mother was a druid of the claw, using her cat form to prowl around their village as a guard. Alystra was taken care of really well, being the third child born to the family, and most coveted.

At a very young age, Alystra began training with her two older brothers in the way of the druid. They would train together for many, many years. Years turned into decades, then into centuries. During their time training, while the brothers found it easy to continue with their lessons, no matter how hard she tried, Alystra was always placed a step behind them. She could do much better at a test, or lesson, yet still be put down as she was breaking the norms of the Kal'Dorei. Her mother faced much the same prejudice, bu they overcame this when they proved themselves to the Elders.

Alystra was finally nearing the climax of her training, being tested vigorously and being prepared to enter the Emerald Dream. Along with her brothers, she was one of the most outstanding druids the Elders had ever seen. They placed them together into the Dream to test their resilience and endurance, as well as their mental awareness. They ventured within the Dream, doing various missions required of them, some being simple, some being more complex, and many requiring more brains than brawn. When completed, the trio emerged as druids, and were congratulated warmly by their comrades.

Then the Third War came, and destruction reigned upon the land. Alystra and her brothers fought bravely, using their druidic powers to heal their allies and to maul the invading Orcish Army. They fought alongside their family and friends, watching many die, and slaying the Orc's who would dare invade their home. When the dust finally settled, Alystra was on her knees, on the road, crying. Next to her laid her two brothers, both killed, and blood covering their entire bodies. Alystra picked up both bodies, carrying them to the nearest town she could find. She asked everyone for a healer, so paranoid with grief she thought they could still live. Someone finally had the stomach to tell her otherwise, and she ran, eyes filled with tears, towards Darkshore.

In Darkshore, she buried her brothers in a graveyard she passed, ignoring the haunting spirits that tried to scare her away or harm her. She made her way to Auberdine, and got someone to take her to Darnassus via boat. There, she would live the remainder of her life, searching for a companion to soothe her soul, and fill that empty hole her brothers once filled.
