Personality

Aitana is extremely shy around people and a little jumpy, due to her past. Though her shyness tends to have issues with her need to explore. She's defensive over anyone who seems to be weak and will do anything to make sure no one has the past she had. Aitana isn't usually comfortable in crowds and will stride quickly through a big crowd if she knew it was pointless. She isn't the best at making friends, but whoever she makes friends with, she'll keep that relationship and hold the person highly accountable. She tends to stride fully away from the Alliance and Horde conflict, seeing it as too large of a mess that needs to be handled by someone who can take it, instead if she's involved in any conflict, it's conflict between two smaller forces.

History

Aitana, in short, didn't have the most perfect life, actually, she had a pretty messed up life. She, her younger brother Chase, her father Bryce, and mother Ruby, lived in a small cottage in Lordaeron on the far edge, nearing the Tirisfal Glades and Plaguelands borders. The family of four lived a happy life, green grass, though Bryce had to go fight the Orcs in the Second War, leaving Ruby to take care of the children throughout the war, it was still fine, because Bryce came back. At least, that's what the children thought. Aitana hadn't really noticed until she was about 13 that Ruby had been putting the two to bed a lot earlier than most of her friends. Her father seemed more bitter sometimes and on other times he was happy and carefree, light as a feather. Aitana hadn't noticed anything was wrong until she 16 that her father had been on drugs of some sort, had been drinking a lot more, and was starting to come home later and stay shorter times. Ruby seemed to be okay with it whenever Aitana saw her, Ruby worked at the tavern in Brill as a barmaid, and she had no idea what Bryce did, nor did she care really. She just wanted to know that her brother was safe and didn't know what was going on. All she cared about at 16, instead of boys, there was only one boy in her mind, which was her 11 year old brother, Chase. And Chase is what he did.

On his 18th birthday, when Aitana was 23, he found out what his father was doing, and instead of going to the Lordaeron Academy like he was supposed to, he ran far into the Western Plaguelands. Since Ruby was working, and Bryce was out somewhere, it was up to Aitana to go get him. She ran for hours and, instead of finding Chase crying by a tree, like she thought she would, she found his dead corpse in a bush. She screamed and ran up to the body, checking for an signs of life. She found a pulse and was about to call for help when she heard the chilling, smoker-esque voice of a Necromancer behind her whisper in her ear, "You're next, my sweet."

She screamed and tried to get up and run, but by the time she ran a few feet, she was blacked out by a bolt of shadow magic. It didn't take too long after to realize she was being killed. Death is not something one forgets. It's a long feeling, no matter how short the process is still long. You can feel your bones just overpowering any force you can muster up, your body is shutting itself down, one item after another. Your back turns warm at first, then cold with the blood flowing out onto your back Then... nothing. You feel nothing, think nothing, it's as if someone took the painting of your life and threw it into a fire to replace it with a fresh canvas. Being resurrected again is a whole other story.

You feel dark magick filling your whole body. It's as if, everything is turning back on, but you don't get to choose what it does. It's like you're watching things go on around you, but at the same time, you're doing it, but you're not.

I walked around what seemed to be an Undead base, as if I've never used my legs before now. I knew I had a master, and that it was my sole duty to serve him, so I did. With the other Undead we wreaked havoc among Lordaeron, I remember going through Brill, looking my own mother in the eye... then clawing her face into shreds, not even caring. She was wearing her owl pendant around her neck. I merely tossed her into the pile to burn. I served the Lich King without question, going from Lordaeron to Quel'thalas to back to Lordaeron. Until that one fateful day on Sylvanas's betrayal.

She had been one of the ones waiting at the Dark Lady's base camp. She had no idea what was going on, except that she seemed to be more in control of herself lately, then, Sylvanas came back... and she was free. They were all free. Aitara knew she wasn't fully free, for she was going to serve the Dark Lady for as long as possible, she owed everything to her and her Banshees. Then... the demon came, and he argued with Sylvanas for what seemed like decades before leaving. And that is exactly what she did, Aitara served the "Forsaken" for as long as she had remained free of the Lich King's will. She had fought alongside her new brothers and sisters until Sylvanas and the Forsaken had finally made their way back to reclaim the Capital City. Once reclaimed, Aitara explored the "new" Tirisfal Glades until she passed by Brill's ruins. She went in and found something shining under a pile of ash by the doorway. She dug it out and found her mother's owl pendant. Perplexed by how it survived, she took it and stuffed it into a pocket until she could get a thread to tie it and use as a necklace. Aitara now knew true freedom. No matter how long it took and what it had cost, she and her new family had received true freedom forever.
