Personality

Agrona has a determined mind; when she sets her mind on something she does what she can in order to achieve it. She is calm, hard to anger but will easily lash out to anyone acting like Fel or the Legion are trivial matters or use the Fel and be happy about it. In presence of her others, especially strangers, she usually acts like a simple, blind girl, fearing reprisal at all times. She sees most races as potentially hostile, with the Draenei as a bare exception. Even in the presence of her best friends and allies she has a distant attitude, trying to blend in with the scenery if possible. She prefers solitude where possible. She respects the dead, whatever race or alliance they have. She harbors hatred towards the Scourge and the Forsaken. She has a distrust of the Death Knights but allows them if they prove to be no threat.

In combat, she is not afraid to show her skills. She even goes as far as berserk should the situation require it, often losing herself to nothing but primal instincts.

History

Agrona was born in what is now known as Felwood. She was born the daughter to a sentinel and a tradesman; her father never had any druidic abilities. Agrona had a fairly calm childhood, climbing trees and playing with other children. From the age of thirty she started training with her parents and weapons. In her free time, Agrona liked to read and even learned of the Legion once ravaging her world and of Illidan, whose sacrifice might just have saved Azeroth. She feared their being but became obsessed with the Demon Hunters and their self sacrifice. Her obsession for the Demon Hunters turned into an obsession for the Burning Legion and she wanted to learn more of both the Legion and the Demon Hunters.

After a short period, she started training herself in the things she knew about the Demon Hunters. This included both fighting blindfolded and with weapons she got for that very purpose. Agrona made sure all of these practices were done in complete secret and solitude, not even her parents knew any of this. Agrona feared reprisal by her kin should it ever be discovered.

After six years of training with her parents and in secret, she signed up with the Sentinel army. Here she trained and patrolled for three hundred years. She even befriended a Nightsaber and used the Nightsaber as a mount.

In the years following, Agrona’s training, patrolling and occasional recruiting continued. Then, that fateful day came and the Orcs came to Ashenvale. Agrona, as well as many others, were surprised and caught relatively off guard. After a while of hand to hand and guerrilla warfare, Agrona was tasked with escorting a group of traders through Ashenvale alongside her mother. Amongst these traders was her father. The caravan walked into an Orc ambush. Agrona sent her Nightsaber away, not wanting the beast to get hurt and lost all sight of the creature. Her mother was on the frontline, dealing with the Orcs in front. Agrona was behind her, dealing with an ambush from behind. She killed the Orcs attacking from behind but not before the Orcs at the front dispatched of her parents and the rest of the caravan. Agrona finished the last Orcs and stayed with the bodies of her parents and the traders. She cried for what felt like days before she was found by a group of Felhounds.

Agrona thought her days were done and grabbed her weapons, trying to take a few with her. As luck would have it, a Blood Elf by the name of Elvethiel Sunrunner, jumped in between Agrona and the demons. Agrona knew from what she read in her books the woman was a Demon Hunter. With this surprise ally by her side, Agrona managed to defeat the demons, but not without suffering a few wounds. Elvethiel saw potential in Agrona and knew that working together was the only way for both of them to survive. Agrona was wary of Elvethiel at first but after a while she became interested in the woman, and Elvethiel was interested in training the young Agrona if she would put her hatred for the Blood Elves aside. Agrona, overcome with grief and interest, didn’t hesitate and said yes.

Her first test was more or less an oral exam. Elvethiel gave Agrona a set of scrolls and she had to learn from them to test her knowledge of Demon Hunters. After a week, Elvethiel gave Agrona the test, she passed it without trouble.

Her next test was to take two heavy swords and live for two weeks in complete exile, not allowed to make any contact with who ever lived there. She did not make contact with anyone and often felt like she was going insane. She found a group of imprisoned Kaldorei, captured by a group of Orcs. She felt like she had no choice but to help her kin. She made a distraction by throwing a stone. One of the Orcs moved towards the place the sound was heard and Agrona finished him off without trouble and him knowing what happened. She did the same with the rest of the group, trying not to be seen by her kin. She threw another stone, this time to distract the trapped Kaldorei. For whatever reason, they fell for it and Agrona rushed towards the cage, opening the lock and running off before anyone saw her. This was her first experience in what was a Demon Hunter’s work.

After this test she was to perform a test of endurance and stamina. She was to run to Ratchet. No slowing down, no rest, nothing. The run took her three days. Upon arrival there, she collapsed. After nothing but a few minutes of rest, Elvethiel told Agrona their next move. They would go the Blasted Lands in the Eastern Kingdoms. After preparations were made, the two left on their voyage. The trip took a week. The weather was nice and the two talked about a few subjects, including Agrona’s next task.

Upon reaching port, the two traveled to an altar, surrounded by skulls and a demonic feel. Here, Agrona received a strange looking dagger and was told to hunt a Felguard. After a day of searching, she found one and lured him back to the altar. Elvethiel was nowhere to be found. The Demon had a lot more muscle than Agrona but she had the superior speed and agility and managed to bring down the Demon. The dagger was used to collect the Demon’s blood. Elvethiel reappeared and took the dagger from Agrona and used it to carve the green tattoo on her body. Elvethiel told Agrona not to show any sign of weakness or pain, no matter how she felt. The pain was can’t be described by words and Agrona felt like she was dying a million times over but did not show any sign of pain or weakness as the pattern of the Demon Hunter tattoo was carved into her body.

Agrona was in a constant battle with her body, mind and soul for a week until she opened her eyes again and emerged victorious. Her body now radiated a bright red glow from the tattoo. She checked some of her new abilities and rested for a while before receiving her next trial.

This time she was tasked with hunting down a Void-Terror and bringing Elvethiel one of its eyes but did not tell where this creature was to be found. Agrona remembered the scrolls and traveled through the Dark Portal to Outland where he would spend several weeks trying to hunt the beast. She narrowed her searching fields down to Blade Edge Mountains. As she hoped she found the beast here, in a Demon camp. She surveyed the camp for a few days, trying to find the best escape route. She gathered her courage and set forth to take down the beast. She used the same tactic she used on the Orcs, throwing rocks to distract them, on the Demons. Surprisingly it worked as she wanted and she could take down the creature without much trouble. In her hurry to escape she took two of the creature’s eyes and returned to her mentor, ready for her next trial.

The next task was the traditional Demon Hunter feature, the sight. Elvethiel explained her next task, to carve out her eyes using the same dagger used to carve her tattoos, then to let the vile liquid of the Void-terror’s eye run into her eye sockets, again no pain, weakness or hesitation was allowed to be shown. She didn’t cringed, not even the slightest as she performed the grueling task. As painful as it was, it was nothing compared to her earlier challenges. Once gifted with this new sight and some rest, she moved, ready for her next task.

After teaching Agrona how to drain the essence of a demon Elvethiel gave Agrona her next task. Her next task was to survive in Outland for three weeks and travel to Shadowmoon Valley. She received no help on either task, not even a minor pointing in the right direction. She first decided to practice her new sight and how to move with it. Due to the difficulty she had with her sight, the travel would take her three weeks anyway.

Upon arrival in Shadowmoon Valley, she was given her next task. She was to hunt a Demon Hunter who had fallen to his demonic taint and drink his blood. Elvethiel handed Agrona her weapons and sent her on the hunt. She did not waste time and and left.

She did, as she was trained to do, hunt. She found her prey and observed him for a few moments. He was strong, brutish and snapped a Demon with his bare hands. Agrona approached her target and before she knew what was happening, the Fallen Hunter attacked her. The fight became a clash of metal and savage growls towards each other. The Fallen Hunter was stronger, more experienced and high on extreme amounts of Fel. Agrona was determined to finish him and succeeded. She looked down to the corpse before doing as she was told and drank his tainted blood from his heart.

She returned to her mentor who congratulated her on her success one last time and bade her farewell and good hunting. Having recently returned to where she was born to hunt Demons. As chance would have it, she found her old Nightsaber. The creature at first wary of Agrona but after talking to the creature from a distance and assuring her she means no harm. After a while The Nightsaber started trusting Agrona again and they teamed up again.
